Great place for a bite. We split a pizza and a pasta. It was really yummy but a bit pricey ;)

The place is CLOSED for renovations! I suppose there is still plenty of restaurant investor money sloshing around Beverly Hills looking for a write off. Seems weird how there were all these 4-star and 5-star reviews and yet if failed. I guess you can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you … Let’s hope the combination Starbucks/Apple Store service center fares better in in this location!

I met up with a friend for lunch in Beverly Hills. Just to clarify, we weren’t shopping on Rodeo or doing anything glamorous like that. We both work nearby(yay for bankers). After roaming around and being rejected at our 1st(too full) and 2nd(not open on Wednesdays) choice restaurants, we walked toward Tra di Noi. I almost fell out of my chair when I saw the prices on this menu. Ok ok, it wasn’t that bad but it was kind of pricey for a lunch that we weren’t going to expense. For a focacceria, I thought the focaccia was not up to par. It was stale and didn’t taste as flavorful as it looked. The two of us shared(because we’re Asian) a Prosciutto Pizza and Carbonara Pasta. The Carbonara didn’t have any egg, which made me very happy. It was so delicious and the bacon was so decadent. Yum! I also really liked the pizza. We even ended up with some leftovers. For a nice restaurant, the service was really spotty. Our waiter showed up one time during the entire meal just to take our order. He never came back to check on us and we couldn’t even find him when it was time to pay. Even the busboys were slacking. I ran out of water halfway through the meal and no one came to refill it until 20 minute later.

This place is amazing! Everything from the staff, to the décor, to the food… simply amazing! My favs of the night were the oh-so-juicy-fall-off-the-bone-perfectly-marinated-RIBS, and the risotto cheese balls. The place is so cute and quaint and would be great for a nice quite & romantic meal. Oh and the owner is such a such a sweet little man. When I was here, all I kept picturing was event taking place at his establishment! It’s perfectly set up for a hug reception, or a cozy gather. You definitely need to check this place out if you haven’t yet. xx

I visited Tra di Noi Facacceria a few weeks ago for a Unilocal Event. The restaurant was very nice. Warm lighting, but not too bright. Very relaxing. Chef Francesco was frantically cooking dishes, along with the rest of his staff, for the many Unilocalers that were attending this awesome event. Since this wasn’t a normal dining experience and everything was free(Thanks Unilocal!), it’s difficult to accurately judge things like service and pricing. But I can comment on the food. And it was superb! I can’t recall all the different foods they offered, but they did have an oven-baked pizza that had truffles or truffle oil on it. If I had nothing else to eat for the rest of my life except that pizza, I would die a happy man. It was honestly that good.(I’m a sucker for the taste of truffles) They also had some delicious pastry-type finger foods with meat inside. Very tasty. And the Chef was making some sort of seafood pasta, almost like a risotto in appearance. I wish I could recall what it was exactly but I was too busy experiencing culinary bliss to remember much detail. It could have also been all the free wine… I’m convinced that Chef Francesco is a culinary genius. I hope to visit this place again to enjoy all the good food. Thanks Unilocal for a wonderful event!

You may have know Tra di Noi from Malibu and while this restaurant shares the same owner there is a new train of thought at this location. The food is seasonal with local ingredients. The space is large, beautiful and bright and they are showcasing the talents of their amazing Chef Francesco. They have the focacceria, a spot that is meant to be for a quick bite or a piece of the homemade bread. Then they have the sit down restaurant, meant for a longer meal. Their spaghetti with tomatoes is purely wonderful! It’s the essence of what a true Italian dish should be; fresh ingredients, perfectly and simply prepared. This dish literally took me back to Italy! The mini tomatoes were all hand peeled and the sauce was a little sweet and a little acidic. Another excellent item was the zucchini focaccia. I may have to go in this week just for a piece of this incredible bread. A trout dish was my entrée and I couldn’t have been happier with it! Tiny pieces of bacon helped the fish shine. Finally a pomegranet sorbet that was so creamy, tart and sweet finished off the meal. The perfect ending to a great lunch. So happy to have this new spot in BH!

Thanks for hosting such a wonderful Unilocal event! The food was quite tantalizing. I can’t wait to come back and try your dinner menu, specifically those short ribs!

Lovely place! While this restaurant sits amongst a bevy of high-brow restaurants on Camden in Beverly Hills, it definitely holds its own. I attended the Unilocal event there this past week, and I had a wonderful time! There was a large selection of fresh, delicious food being brought out by their hard-working staff. The pizza was so buttery and delicious, and was my favorite along with the filet mignon(I like beef and carbs, what can i say). The space was very cozy with dim lighting, but not so dim you couldn’t see the food in front of you. All in all, it was a great event hosted by a classy place, I can’t wait to return!

Holy Focaccia! The smell of this restaurant alone is worth a 5 star review! Went in at lunch, far from starving, but within minutes I felt my mouth salivating and I suddenly became unable to focus on anything but the intoxicating aroma coming from the stone oven. The smell of freshly baked bread enveloping the room carried me away into Italian comfort food heaven. I couldn’t take my eyes off the amazing zucchini focaccia sitting atop the ledge of the open kitchen… I knew it had to be mine, sooner or later. The meal began with an assortment of appetizers. The spinach salad was a revelation — it was my favorite dish of all of those I sampled that afternoon. It was a combination of ALL that is holy — tender spinach, DATES(anyone who knows me, knows THIS), FIGS, walnuts, blue CHEESE and an equally sinful champagne dressing. Ricotta and beets — i’ve died and gone to heaven — there are very few combinations that come close. This salad earned extra points for an especially delicious and unique ingredient: kumquats! The tonnarelli had so much flavor for being such an incredibly simple dish. The noodles were not masked by heavy sauce; instead they looked meticulously crafted yet effortlessly prepared, letting the freshness of the ingredients do all of the talking. The homemade tonnarelli was perfectly al dente and the mixture of olive oil and soft cherry tomatoes formed a wonderful coating for the noodles that was surprisingly tart and wonderful. But the best thing I tasted that afternoon… the one thing that made me(and my hips) beg for forgiveness the moment it touched my lips… was the little slice of heaven zucchini focaccia bread! The bread I had set my heart(and stomach) on upon walking into Tra Di Noi — the one thing I promised myself I would taste, and that I had somehow forgotten all about! Barely warm — sitting in the bread basket for nearly half of the meal — that first bite of zucchini focaccia… Born again! It was so good, I wanted to convert and be baptized in olive oil! I played it off like the bread was just«very good,» but I’ve secretly been praying for it ever since. This small piece of heaven on earth brought back my faith. in breadbaskets… How could something so good be given away like that?! It made me believe… There is a bread God! Our Focaccia, who art in heaven… Tra Di Noi is thy name. Italian fare of the Gods!

Service was a littly sucky since I had to remind the server 4 times to get me a bottle of water, but the food was excellent. We got the carpaccio and the margherita pizza. The carpaccio was not sliced too then and was drizzled with olive oil, parmesan and some greens. I could have eaten 2 of them by myself. The margherita had a crisp crust and was covered with fresh cheese, tomato and basil. I loved both items. It’s a good place to grab a quick lunch or dinner.

Went here for a work lunch, not expecting anything great from a location that keeps changing ownership. Was very pleasantly surprised. My party of seven had 6 entrees and a side salad, rave reviews all around from a not-so-easy crowd. I can say that my Spaghetti Carbonara was delish(a little rich) and several of my party insisted on sharing my food. The table breads were tasty too. Service was great. For the people complaining about the pricing — news flash: you’re in Beverly Hills. You’re not going to find much of a bargain here for lunch, even at the delis and coffee shops. I hope this place sticks around.

We have eaten here 3 times. It started off good and has declined significantly. Today they served us frozen bread only partially defrosted. THey offer tiger shrimp with the risotto but actuality served very small shrimps. Way over priced for the quality served. I suspect they are having financial issues and the food is suffering. Won’t be going back and don’t expect them to be around six month from now. Way too many vacant tables

I’m giving it 4 stars is because they have thee best prosciutto pizza I’ve ever had! It’s across the street from my office so i go there for lunch often. I’m always there alone, and i sit at the bar so i cant comment on all the reviews of 1 or 2 stars who complain about the service and blah blah blah. I always chat with the cute bartender. She is so sweet and friendly. Ethiopian I think. I watch ESPN on the big screen at the bar and enjoy my lunch. I have no complaints. Oh, did i mention that THEYHAVETHEBESTPROSCIUTTOPIZZAONTHEPLANET!!! I’ve had a few of their other dishes as well. No bad but not jaw dropping amazing either. the décor is nice and comfortable.

The food was very nice however the service was appalling. We felt like we were looked down upon because of our age and casual dress even though we are in our mid-twenties and were sitting outside during the middle of a hot summers day! I would not return here.

Had the lunch sandwich today. Large sandwich, but not tasty. The bread was soggy, not fresh, and the veggies and mozzerella cheese had no flavor. Not impressed. I will not be coming back here. It was nice to meet you La Foccaceria. I wish you were just as tasty as Prego.

How can they call the place La Focacceria when there isn’t a single focaccia on the dinner menu? Is this a joke? I went in for an early, light supper before a movie. There are two sides & menus to the restaurant, which the hostess won’t tell you about, unless you ask. The more casual side(by the bar) has a separate menu that is about 25% less expensive. It isn’t the same menu, but pretty close. The pizza with anchovies didn’t have a single anchovy!?!(Is there a pattern of decption here?) My wife had 3 contorni(veggie plates). No alcohol, no dessert, no coffee: $ 36 and we left feeling as if we hadn’t eaten anything. While the food was uninspired, unimpressive and way overpriced, the lack of forthrightness is disturbing: 1. the place isn’t a focacceria, it is a typical, over-priced«Italian» restaurant, 2. The hostess won’t tell you about the less expensive side of the house the wait staff will if you ask, 3. The marinara pizza didn’t have a fish on it. Overall this was a very unsatisfying. Won’t go back, ever.

This place is amazing. I come here every morning for my Italian breakfast which consist of latte & pastry. The pastries are addicting all the dough is made to perfection such as cinnamon brioches, sweet foccacias and flaky yummy croissants they are all made fresh daily by the very fabulous Maruricio Salias. I also like coming first thing in the morning I love to start my day on such a sweet note all the employees bakers and Batista’s are all so happy welcoming and sweet just like the homemade organic jam they use and sell provided by the Thorne Family local farmers from Malibu. I also enjoy the exotic friendly and very complementing outside tables of Italian speaking gents who welcome me every morning with a friendly good morning Bella !(sounds so good in Italian) Now the good stuff . If your taste buds require only the best you have to try the Chilean sea bass with Martini&Rosi sauce best thing I have put into my mouth lately. The Ligurian Focaccia di Recco is soft warm and oozing with cheeses.(I’m already heading there just thinking about this!) The fine wines they have I believe are also from local Malibu vineyards I had 3 glasses a white and 2 red wish I could remember the names of the wine I had hence 3 glasses … Well I could not Recommend this place highly enough it’s truly a nice touch to Beverly Hills. Ciao Bella:)
