Kame restaurant in Beverly has the best Sushi in Beverly. Last time I was there, we ordered edamame, shumai, and a couple maki rolls. The edamame was not as fresh as it has been in the past, it was a little brown on the edges and soggy. Everything else was delicious. Love that they offer brown rice, too.

One of my all time favorite sushi places. Attentive service, quality sushi. Ambiance isn’t the best — not bad but not stellar.

Bad service. Grouchy waitresses. Fish super fishy. We’ve eaten a lot of sushi and this isn’t horrible but not good by any stretch. Don’t live in the area but wouldn’t come back if we did. Hope we don’t get sick from this.

I’ve been coming to Kame for years. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The miso soup and salad are always good. I usually go for tuna or salmon rolls which are consistently good. Green tea ice cream is VERY tasty.

Sushi is good, but meals from the kitchen aren’t so great. Chicken terriyaki lacked flavor. Spicy tuna rolls were delicious though. Stick to sushi and you’ll be okay!

Picked up food from here a number of times now. We’ve always been happy with it. Coming from Boston, it’s been disappointing the lack of sushi options out here, but this place is really good. We always share a seaweed salad and Hawaiian salad(has seaweed salad in it w other stuff). We then also share a few rolls. We’ve have rainbow rolls, spicy tuna, Uni avo, Bo special, and others. All really good. The restaurant itself is small, but nice.

One of the best sushi places on the north shore! My husband and I love sushi. Kame was recommended by some of our friends who are also sushi lovers. We have tried about 6 – 8 different rolls, and have loved them all. We love the spicy tuna roll, the crunchy roll, and the red dragon roll. We crave sushi quite often and Kame is always our go to place.

We got 6 different types of rolls, shumai and gyoza. The sushi was just average and the dumplings were nothing to write home about either. The food did come out fast and the waitstaff was friendly. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back. I then got a wrap at wrapture. Lackluster at best. # wanted a boat

Love Kame, best sushi place in the north shore. That’s all I have to say about it — check out my photos for up close and personal shots of menu items

the restaurant was a good size. they even had some floor seating(with the hole in the middle). the décor was just average. they seem to keep it well kept. they have a sushi bar with one flat screen. we had the tempura udon, bomb maki, and irish maki. they all tasted good except the bomb was so big it was a little uncomfortable to eat. the salad comes with a pretty good dressing. the food was presented well. our waitress with friendly and helpful and the host was nice as well. the workers generally seemed pretty nice. only thing i didn’t like were the high prices compared with boston or similar. the maki was about $ 2 – 4 more and i also remember the teriyaki stuff was $ 15 – 18, which also is a couple of dollars more. i guess since it’s beverly they can do that. overall it was a nice experience.

This is my sushi shrine – tucked away on Cabot St., attracts diners who happily hobnob with the friendly, talkative chefs, while popping exceptional nigiri morsels into their mouths. The sushi menu is exciting and unique, and the chefs are always eager to create something new. I also think they have the very best Yaki — Ika I had ever had. I know what you’re thinking… grilled… squid? What’s wrong with you, man? But seriously, it’s worth pushing past an aversion to scarfing down some of the oddest-looking creatures in the sea. Always grilled correctly, Kame’s squid takes on new life after it hits the flame. The flesh plumps up nicely and the meat becomes tender and luscious – nothing like the rubbery squid you’ve had in fried calamari. Its paired with a phenomenal soy-ginger sauce which makes it almost impossible for me not to order. There’s a long list of appetizers, but if monk-fish liver is available that day, there’s a reason it’s called the foie gras of the sea: It’s marbled, meaty, and fatty. Sushi-wise, you’ll find a vegetable-roll section, and concessions made for fancy-roll types, but I awlays enjoy the Nigiri. The best item on the menu is Chawan — Mushi, which means steam tea bowl, The custard consists of an egg mixture flavored with soy sauce, dashi, and mirin, with numerous ingredients such as shiitake mushrooms, kamaboko, and boiled shrimp placed into a tea-cup-like container. If you’ve never had steamed eggs, you’re missing out. The smooth, silky texture is akin to soft tofu, but more savoury and creamy. Another favorite is to ask for a Chai Hand Roll, a mixture of cut fish and spices rolled into a hand roll. Chai is an excellent sushi chef,.I can’t even put into words how amazingly he cuts the fish and how carefully he does it, I always can’t believe my taste buds. Kame’s always treated me very well the past 10 years, never a dissapointment, which makes it difficult for me to go elsewhere. Now after writing this reivew, I must go to Kame… see you at the bar.

I ordered take out from this restaurant last night. I live in the area and was craving sushi so I figured I’d try the local place. I’m not a big sushi connoisseur or anything but I have to agree with most reviews that the sushi here is nothing really spectacular. It was just kind of bland and not very fresh tasting.(Ordered the Christmas, Futo Maki, and Una Kyu rolls.) That being said, the employees are super nice and the place is clean. You could definitely find worse sushi in the area so if you’re just looking for a local place to go then you’d be ok here.
