I don’t know what it is about this location. I’m a huge Starbucks person. I hate Dunks. One thing that makes Bucks so great is they’re generally consistent throughout all of their locations. Unfortunately, this location is the exception. Their coffee is weak and I find myself having to pay for an espresso shot just to have a normal coffee. It’s very disappointing. The customer service here is not bad. I’m just judging from the drive thru. The drive thru moves pretty quickly, in my opinion. Kind of weird that they make you swipe your own card, but whatever. Sometimes the people at the window are super nice. Even when they’re not the nicest, I try to be understanding cause they’re a very busy store and people generally suck. My breakfast sandwiches are always hot. I’m a huge coffee drinker and I come to this location at least 2 to 3 times per week spending $ 7 to $ 10 each visit, depending. Bottom line, I’ll continue to come here because I don’t have to get out of my car and I work in the Cummings center across the street, but I’m not happy with the quality of the product. I really hope they work on things at this store, as the location is very convenient.

I’m a barista here! I know that we are not a perfect store. There are sometimes inconsistencies, and I understand that customers, especially those who are not regulars might get frustrated by that. But we are working on it! In the time that I’ve been here we have grown so much, and continue to do so! My team works hard and has a LOT to put up with. Whether it’s a broken espresso machine, working understaffed days, or some less than understanding customers, it’s not easy. We’re the busiest store in the district. I know that me, and a lot of my coworkers do our very best to keep our customers caffeinated, happy, and at work on-time. Come by for a coffee! We would love to have you.

Literally the worst starbucks ever, especially for mobile orders. I placed a mobile order, and when I got there to pick it up(mind you I order the same item at any starbucks I go to) and the barista was exceptionally rude to me… whatever, I can deal, its busy. However, when I got to work, and sipped my coffee, it was wrong. Why am I paying $ 5 for a coffee, if its going to be served with an attitude, a ton of coffee grinds in it and clearly not a white choc mocha? So annoying. Get some morning people in there that enjoy their job.

Even though there are some super good people working here, there’s a constant lack of direction and consistency. This morning, they had no coffee or tea to sell, just espresso drinks, but chose to place the signage indicating that at the spot in the drive through where you place you order(you know, the place you reach after you already sit in line for 5 minutes). They also have no trash barrels outside, anywhere, which I very inconvenient. They used to have a place for trash outside the drive through but it was overflowing 9 times out of 10. This is definitely more because management didn’t choose to ensure the staff was emptying it a couple times a day, not because the location is excessively busy or customers«abusing» the trash. They did, however, conveniently convert the area that had the trash can to an overflow area, McDonald’s-style, where you are instructed to wait so they can run out the order that they messed up.

This is the WORST Starbucks I’ve ever been to, and I drink 3 coffees a day. It should never take 20 minutes to get my coffee made, especially when there’s only 3 people in front of me waiting. Then when I asked the barista when my coffee was going to be done he said: «when it’s done». Not only did getting my coffee take forever but when I asked for a napkin(cause all 3 dispenser where out) one of the girls goes«I’m busy but they’ll be out soon» … At the end of my wait they still were not out. I’ve worked in retail and in restaurants this type of behavior is never expectable and I’ve known people to get fired over less. You’d be better off to drive the extra 5 minutes to the route 1a Location(near nicks roast beef) or even the market st. Lynnfield location if your driving south on 128 Update*** on November 25th. I thought that I would give them another chance to see if they were just off the couple of times that I’d been there. I wasn’t I stand by my opinion that’s they are the worst Starbucks ever.

This location doesn’t even deserve 1 Star! We used to come to this Starbucks often, however, as of today… Never again! Awful Service, starting with their equipment breaking down and most of all, Their Customer Service is Horrible! I thought that customer service was about tending to your customers on a first come, first serve basis,…NOT to be served Last!!! Worse, No apologies given at all and spent waiting over 45 minutes for a tall size beverage! Unacceptable! Totally Disappointed!!! Unless, you have a lifetime to wait for a coffee and be served RUDELY, Do NOT come HERE!

If you have a spare thirty minutes to wait for a coffee, you’ll eventually get a cup of coffee, maybe with some attitude. The lack of urgency is excruciating and the staff can’t ever seem to find a balance between managing the drive thru line and not ignoring every other person in the building. We’ve had to abandon all hope of coffee most weekdays due to lack of convenience. As another patron said to me on his way out the door this morning, «I can’t wait until 9am for a cup of coffee.» It was 7:20. Plus, there’s always tension between the baristas – usually complaints and fallout over who gets to wear the sparkly headset

I’ve frequented this SB and its forever disappointing all the way around. First the store is dirty, overworked staff, frequent mistakes with drink orders and no customer appreciation what so ever. In fact if they mess up your order, you’re never offered any apologies just bad looks. Who ever runs this place is unwilling to up grade the store nor improve the inefficiencies. It’s a sad place to visit.

This location is the slowest and least consistent I have been to. I travel often for work, visiting locations all over Massachusetts and this location gets my order wrong all the time. Just today, I waited over 10 minutes in line with 3 people in front of me and had to leave before being waited on, knowing how much longer it would take for my beverage to be made. This is unfortunately the closest to my home, but not one I will visit again.

Slowest drive thru ever! On my last visit I decided to go into the store to see if it was faster. Got in line, only one person ahead of me, sweet! Ordered my iced tea, and out it came, 12 minutes later! Seriously. 1.5 stars for the tea, because it’s not the tea’s fault they’re so slow.

Time has passed and although I was disappointed at the time of my last review, I must say, this Starbucks location, and their staff, is the best there is in the area. The management has shifted since my previous review & the gang is better than ever. I’m thrilled that a few of the regular folks I’ve met over the past 5 – 6 years are still on the bar now & again. It’s been interesting to see all the staff changes and best of all — experienced the upswing. I love«my kids» — as I affectionately refer to them. Great people, great service & hey, who doesn’t want a smile with a fantastic cup of coffee?! Glad that the good vibes are back.

Just went to this Starbucks location. Never again! Place was so dirty that I wound up not getting anything. My daughter got a drink and the blender they used had residue on it from the previous drink. That’s after it was already rinsed. Nasty! Not one clean table either. For what they charge u for a coffee or cold drink… You should be able to pay someone to keep the place clean. I will stick to my dunks

I go to a coffee shop for three reasons, the coffee, the ambience and it should always be clean. This star bucks has nailed it every time! The wait was a little longer but Not that long. Pleasant staff too!

This past weekend our cheerleaders(ages 6 to 10) were out in the cold canning to raise money for Dana-Faber. The wonderful organizers had permission and permits to do so. An employee and manager at the Elliott Street Starbucks had an issue. They told the mother of a 1st grader that she shouldn’t be teaching her child to «beg for money». Last time I checked this Starbucks has«Tip Cups» for their employees. When the permit was produced the manager still told them to leave!

From Facebook: «While reflecting on all the generosity I witnessed this weekend, one sore spot remains. I am still in awe at how one of my little cheerleaders and her mother were treated during our canning weekend and the blatant refusal to apologize even after I presented them(for the second time) with a permit from the mayor to solicit donations. I am not done with this situation and hope you will join me in contacting Starbucks corporate office about the way their employee Coleen and manager behaved. Here’s their story: I am not one to stand on a soap box and rant, but today I must because of the extremely disheartening experience we had at Starbucks on Elliot St. in Beverly. My 7-year-old woke up early, excited to brave the below freezing temps and collect money for Dana Farber, an organization that has provided so much help to our dear friends and family. As she stood with chattering teeth, smiling, holding her little donation can at an establishment where we had been provided with a permit and previously given permission to collect donations, I was approached by an employee. In front of my daughter and all of the customers, the employee stated, „You are not allowed to be here. This is not ok. We need to teach kids it’s not right to beg for money.“ Unfortunately, the store’s „policy“ was confirmed by the manager. He said that he didn’t care if we were given permission previously, he is the new manager and we need to leave. The experience was difficult to explain to a 7-year-old who just wanted to help „fight cancer“. Luckily, we went to another local business where we were warmly greeted. Faith in humanity was restored as so many customers offered donations, gave encouragement, and even shared stories of how Dana Farber has impacted their lives. Shame on you, Starbucks on Elliot St in Beverly. You knocked a little girl down, but she got right back up.»

Was going to stop there this afternoon and then heard this from my friend. Please pass it on «I would like the support of my Beverly Community to Boycott Starbucks on Elliott Street. This past weekend our cheerleaders(ages 6 to 10) were out in the cold canning to raise money for Dana-Faber. The wonderful organizers had permission and permits to do so. Last time I checked this Starbucks has „Tip Cups“ for their employees. When the permit was produced the manager still told them to leave! Our girls raised over $ 2500 this past weekend, standing in the cold raising money for Cancer research. Please join me in never giving them my business again!» Can anyone tell me about an independent coffee shop that isn’t owned by Starbucks or DD and is in the Beverly area?

5 stars for Anna! Thank you for helping me choose a to-go mug. It might seem silly to write a review on this type of purchase but great customer service is great customer service. After showing me the difference between several mugs, she even went to the trouble of filling one up with water so I could see that it didn’t leak.

Starbucks with a drive thru = WINNING! The only downside is when there is a wait, expect to wait at least 10min to order, get your drink etc. Great customer service, everyone seems to really enjoy being there and is nice and cheery :) I love their peppermint hot chocolate and for a while I thought it was just seasonal, I asked recently though and they made one for me anyway! Also another bonus is they don’t always charge for extra flavor additives.
