Went here a month ago. I walked in and it was empty. It had kind of a buffet style at the counter and you tell the guy what you want. For being a chicken place, there was pretty much no chicken left. I took the last 2 – 3 pieces. They were dry. Non flavorful. I got potatoes and corn. It was«ehh». And then the price was so expensive. If you want fried chicken, Market Basket has amazing fried chicken $ 5 for like 6 pieces!

I’m 37 weeks pregnant, with some of the strangest and most specific cravings I’ve ever had in my life. A few days ago I got a craving for fried chicken, but not just any fried chicken… I had a very specific flavor in mind. Well fortunately for my husband Super Chicken was exactly what I needed. We had never been there before, but heard good things so we decided to give it a shot. We ordered there and while we waited we got to chat with the very nice woman working at the counter. We took our food to go and it was still nice and warm when we got home. Flavor wise everything was delicious! We got an 8 piece meal with mashed potatos, gravy, coleslaw and cornbread. We probably ate half of everything and we are quite happy and full. It was the first time in a long time that we ate our meals in silence, for no other reason than we were enjoying our food. Great alternative to typical North Shore take out. We will definitely be back.

Chicken was extremely dry. Had definitely been made well before serving. Mac and cheese was bland and overcooked. Green beens tasted like the microwaved steamed ones. Cornbread was ok. May give them another try based on reviews but over 8 bucks for a two piece meal that is basically a one piece meal(1 chicken breast cut in half) is pricey and sides are not very big portions. If your called super chicken your chicken better be the balls and it wasn’t. Also if im paying 8 bucks for fried chicken(chicken is a buck a lb wholesale) i would like a decent portion.

Typically when on a job, new town, don’t know where to go, good bet is to ask a cop, as they eat out more than most, and typically eat in town… so it was a good sign two of them were in Super Chicken when we walked in, looking like they were picking up food for the whole station. Next, guy in front of me says, «don’t know what to have tonight.» the very nice woman behind the counter says, «try the meatloaf». His response, «had it for lunch.» so you have the cops coming by, and people doubling up their daily meals, all a good sign. Super friendly staff. We had the 8 piece, with cole slaw and corn bread. everything was good. Guy sitting at one on the tables commenting on his own dinner«the scallops are excellent !» So while real easy to drive by the storefront since it does not look remarkable from the outside. stop the car and get some good food served by friendly people.

Got a 16 piece meal and didn’t really like the chicken it was dry. Also tried a chicken parm sub and it was okay it was difficult to eat and it was cool by the time I got home about 10 minutes later. The staff was very very nice, great customer service. May give them another try based on their friendliness.

I lovvvvvveeeeee this place! Awesome comfort food. Usually I get the fried chicken but lately it’s the meatloaf but the other day I got pot roast… Out of this world! I felt like I was in the movie. What about bob when he was having dinner with the fam. I couldn’t say enough about how delicious it was. If I could eat there everyday I would. Staff is very nice as well.

If you go in with high expectations you will be disappointed. The meals are good sized but the quality is average.

My boyfriend and I wanted comfort food one night for dinner and we searched on Unilocal and found Super Chicken. The reviews said it was really good, so we decided to give it a shot. We ordered some chicken, fries, and coleslaw. The chicken was delicious! The coating was very crispy and flavorful, and the meat was juicy and tasty. The fries and the coleslaw were delicious too! And they don’t skimp on portions. The pieces of chicken are the biggest I’ve ever seen and the amount of fries and coleslaw are generous. The staff is very friendly and I would definitely order from here again. The only thing I would say that’s a negative would be that they don’t have Mac n cheese on their menu. I wish that they would add that.

amazing comfort food. we got chicken pot pie which was phenomenal. The mashed potatoes were also amazing. side of green beans was canned and not great but the rest of the meal made up for it. also, the staff is very, very nice. i came here after my daughter was born and it came up in conversation, the woman working the register was kind enough to send me home with a cupcake for my wife to enjoy. made me smile!

I’m on a diet. For the last month I’ve been eating a lot of weak salads. Now it’s «that time of the month» and my body craves iron rich food in the form of bloody slow roasted meat, specifically, prime rib. Which sure, is every old person’s favorite cut of meat, don’t judge me on that, just know that if you ever want bloody slow roasted prime rib soaked in au jus with a side of herb roasted potatoes also soaked in au jus, Super Chicken is the place to go. On Wednesday and Fridays they put in a few prime ribs to cook. The outsides are covered in herbs and salt and then they slow cook them. They cut them to order. For about $ 14 you get a massive SLAB of meat, a slab of corn bread, a side of cole slaw and a big scoop of potatoes either roasted or mashed. I could not eat all the meat. Seriously, I’m on a diet and having my period, and I couldn’t finish the meat, do you know how much food has to be on a plate for me to not finish it in this state? A lot. Their chicken is really good too.

Super Chicken is a hidden gem… Their rotisserie chicken as well as the fried chicken is delicious, the sides are excellent as well(get the mac and cheese!)… This place also has incredible service and appreciation for your business. Perfect for getting that delicious foundation meal in you before walking next door to the Jade for a few Mai Tai’s.

It’s so much more than chicken and poultry. I really enjoyed the turkey dinner. They will offer you a piece of corn bread and the little bit of jalapeño it has gives it a whole lot of zippy goodness. It reminds me of a brothers deli in minature. The people behind the counter are helpful and awesome. There is also some seating if you want to eat in cafateria style.

Just had Super Chicken for dinner. I had their dark meat fried chicken(one leg and one breast) and i’ll say price is great but it’s far oily for my taste. I felt gross afterwards and I’m not sure if i’ll ever go back. It’s not that it didn’t taste good, but it didn’t taste great. Workers were friendly and warm but that’s about it. I wonder if these Unilocalers actually know what good fried chicken tastes like… maybe they never had soul food cause they are in Beverly, MA… come on, you can’t compete with fried chicken from an established soul food joint.

Because I know everything about everybody(or at least think I do), I can tell you that the owner of Super Chicken used to work at one of the Brother’s Style restaurants in the area. Those are pretty popular and anyone who knows them knows they’re all about good food, and lots of it. So, Super Chicken is like a mini-brother’s deli. You just walk in, point to what you want, they throw a generous portion on a plate with 2 – 3 generous sides and you’re pounding down some amazing rib-stickin food in less time than it takes to scream, «Don’t Tase Me Bro!» I only gave it 4 stars because, as good as it is, it still ain’t no «Brother’s»; and, because the bleak chairs and tables are just there as a convenience but if you’re into that bland, high-school, cafeteria type feel, in miniature, then you’ll be in heaven. Get it as take-out and go home and eat it in style. ;)
