This is a gem. First of all, Beverly Farms is such a sweet neighborhood – great restaurants, great shops, and wonderful people. The Book Shop really personifies this neighborhood. They have an excellent, diverse selection of books(hard cover, paperback, mass media, coffee table, fiction, non fiction, cook books, college books, study guides, gardening books, travel books, children and young adult books, they also have an excellent supply of local authors – and they do readings! John Updike used to live right down the street), and they have really cute cards, wrapping paper, stationary, games and gifts as well. If you’re looking for a specific book and the Book Shop doesn’t have it, they’ll order it for you and call you when it arrives.(And, if someone from your street is in the shop, they just might deliver it for you!). The upstairs area in the shop is a child’s dream. It has cozy spots for seating, picture books, board books, middle grade and young adult books galore. Kids can get lost in a book up there. Now, for my favorite part of the shop. The people who work there. The people who work there are obviously passionate about books, reading, and readers. There is a shelf of recommended reading that always has something delightful! They’re helpful, thoughtful, and make the shop come alive. I can’t recommend this book shop highly enough!
