Just moved to the area, and this has been my top pick for dinner, and late night hanging out. The food is awesome– classic pub fare with a twist. The drinks are fantastic(creative cocktails and a unique beer list). Service is fast and efficient too! I have only good things to say about The Indo!

After living in Beverly for 1.5 years, we finally got around to trying the Indo. I am sure glad we did! So much so that we wound up there twice in one week! Loved the casual atmosphere, including the playlist, cozy lighting, and friendly service. We visited with our 3 year old both times and felt very welcomed, but could also see this as a great low key date spot or a fun place to come with a friends for dinner and drinks. Justin took the time to introduce us to the menu and help my husband decide on a great cocktail. He even made a yummy mocktail for me, the boring pregnant lady :) Poutine was divinely gluttonous, as all poutines should be. I really loved the reuben and my husband said his fish and chips were fantastic. I think we’ve found our new favorite spot in town!

Went for a couple drinks — it was loud and the bartender was not attentive. We ordered 2 drinks and the waitress did not come back to ask if we wanted another drink. After waiting a bit I decided to close out because she had not returned. I told another bartender what I had ordered and it took 5 – 10 minutes before I got the bill in front of me and they had added an extra drink. Would not return, terrible staff.

I really love this place. Possibly as good as a local Irish pub gets. Cozy, romantic atmosphere and lighting, efficient and knowable staff, GREAT beer selection. The runny egg/bacon jam sandwich on the late night menu is five bucks and awesome. Food is made with love and intention and perfectly seasoned. Lots of comfy seating for big groups.

Don’t be lured in by the cheap beer if you’re looking for a fun night out in Beverly. The waiting staff acted very cold to myself and my friend-going so far as to make a scene and single out my friend for asking to throw out a piece of trash he brought in before he ordered a drink. Try to avoid at all costs

As Kitty O’Shea’s, this place used to be a pretty classic dive bar, full of loud music, drunks and average beer. For that reason, my husband(local to the area more than me) always wanted to stay away. Since their switch in ownership and renovation, the place has taken on a totally different feel. The cocktail menu is extensive, with a number of creative and different offerings. The beer menu is off the charts, with a ton of interesting beers– local and otherwise to try. Be careful though, some of them pack a punch with a high alcohol content, and go down a little too easily! Service is great, the waitstaff is friendly and attentive. The scene is late 20s /to mid 30s for the most part, and seems like a fun place for singles and couples to meet, etc. We still haven’t tried the food, but have heard good things and hope to check out this place for their weekend brunch, which looks amazing. Happy to have another local place to add to the list of options for a fun night out!

This place is totally awesome. Everything from the food, to the atmosphere to the drinks, it is all hand crafted and superb.

Possibly the worst hamburger I have ever had. I ordered medium and burnt shoe leather came out. Tasted like a charcoal briquette. Poutine was adequate. Have beer then leave. The worst.

Awesome selection of craft beer, scotch, and some cool mixed drinks(try a Wild Night Out) Kid friendly pub, but nice for a date, too. Sit by the fireplace and order some truffle fries. Cool vibe in an old building.

My GF and I went early Sunday. Been watching Indo online for a while. I thought they had brunch. But checked when we were going and the website was blank. Walked into a completely empty place at 12:15. Kinda got scared. We sat down and the bartender was our server. She was very nice and took our drink orders. Just not sure how that would work if we weren’t the only ones there. Drinks were just Ok. I got the Bloody Mary. It’s mostly a craft beer place. Fine with me. I ordered the burger. I’m a burger guy who’s been on a quest for the best burger in the area. My GF got the bistro sandwich. The person in the kitchen knows what they’re doing. The burger was very good. Cooked perfectly and very flavorful. In my top 10 of burgers. The fries were way above average fries. My GF loved her sandwich and the fries. Not sure what’s going on with this place. I guess time will shake it out. I would go back for that burger!

Great beer/tap selection. Good menu. Friendly as all hell –the very friendly managenent reached out to me saying that they have added more staff, fixing what was the only shortfall of the indo. More detail after another meal.

Love the ambiance! It’s very cozy. My husband and I came here on a Sunday at noon. Apparently, this place has a great brunch, however they will not be serving brunch for a few more weeks until the new chef is complete with revamping the menu. There was a nice selection of local and imported beers and ciders. I had a delicious local cider that our server suggested and my husband chose a Bloody Mary. He said the Bloody Mary wasn’t the best he’s had, but then again, I guess this place is known for its beers anyway. For an appetizer, we got the fried pickles and parmesan truffle fries(highly recommend). And for the main course I got a beautifully presented Caesar salad and my husband got the vegetarian beet burger — which he said was smoky, meaty and delicious. The service was great and quality of drinks and food were good. We’ll be back.

Fish and chips were incredible, and I avoid fried food like the plague. The selection of beers on draft is remarkable with many options that I love(having only had them bottled) but have never seen on tap.

The trivia team I occasionally play with just started going to the Indo on Tuesdays for their«Geeks Who Drink» trivia night. I joined them last night and was very impressed by their food and attentive service. I got the hummus plate and I think it’s the best I’ve ever had!

My brother and I dined here on Easter. There were limited options open on Zombie Jesus day, but my brother’s friend suggested The Indo and I’m glad went. A band was playing(Irish music of course) and we had a nice meal by the window. I was surprised that they had Aventinus on Draft. Make that astounded. Only one other place I can think of has Aventinus(Sunset Bar and Tap) and it’s bottled(at least it was the last time I was there). Anywho, it’s a strong German beer and it comes in a nice glass so you should definitely try it. For apps, we tried the hog’s back wings, Buffalo wings, and Bacon/gorgonzola fries. All were very good, especially the hog wings. So tender! For dinner I had Bangers and Mash with brown gravy. The sausage had nice texture, and overall I really enjoyed the flavor. Seemed legit to me! Of course, it’s not traditional Easter fare for my family, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I think the Indo is one of the best Irish bars around. The service was great. Check it out if you’re in the area.

Love this place. My girlfriend and I come here for brunch whenever we can — the food is great, the service is always friendly, laid-back and genuinely concerned with how the guests are doing. The«Light and Sunny» is a great cocktail to have with brunch — just a friendly tip! Also, Indo has a lot of really great beers on tap and the prices are pretty good. The atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming. The barstools are comfortable and the fireplace(albeit, fake) in the corner is a great touch. Do yourself a favor and check this place out — you’ll be happy you did!

After having just recently moved from Waltham to the North Shore, I am so glad that owners Mike & Steve(who also own The Gaff in Waltham) decided to open The Indo in Beverly. They always have an excellent draught list, consistently delicious pub fare(fried pickles, yum), awesome cocktails, and the most welcoming staff in the neighborhood. Kitty’s was cool, this place is an outstanding upgrade. Don’t forget, change is good!

The Indo is a great spot. It’s actually reminds me of another great spot, the now defunct Old Spot in Salem(GOD I MISSTHATPLACE). It’s the same vibe: cozy, dark pub style you’d just as likely see in Shoreditch. The space itself is large enough to accommodate a decent crowd, which patrons of the owners other bar, The Gaff, would likely clamor over. It used to be another bar, that was sort of divey, and DEFINITELY nothing to write home about in any regard, so the renovations have given the space a sexy new life. BEERS: the owners are beer guys, and consistently keep the tap list fresh. It’s a good mix of local/regional craft brews and some of the heavy hitters from out of town. The nerdier of the nerds would love to know that Mike and Steve somehow get their hands on Maine Brewing Lunch more than most bars around MA. Score. COCKTAILS: my wife digs these too much. She’ll tell you they are amazing. Only thing that sucks is that I have to usually pay for them. FOOD: inspired pub stuff. burgers are always great. wings are better than any place in Salem/Beverly that i’ve had at least. the Bistro sandwich is kickass. Also recommend the gorgonzola fries with bacon because bacon. Service is paramount to the owners, who would literally bend over backwards to provide an enjoyable experience to their patrons. Staff is friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. 5 stars

I haven’t ventured to too many places on the North Shore yet but I have to say I was very impressed by the Indo. The interior has been very well done and has a classy, sophisticated feel without any pretentiousness. They have a great variety and selection of local beer, which was a welcomed departure from the typical product you see. I ordered the Indo Burger, which had a wild combination of toppings I could have never imagined myself. It was delicious! Overall, this place is definitely a winner. I will be back often!

I’m really happy that The Indo Pub is open! Beverly needed a place like this. It is a great mix or casual but cool, not too expensive, not too trendy, relaxed, charming, comfortable. The atmosphere is rustic and cozy. The service is great. The music is classic and upbeat. I loved the menu, which had maybe a dozen apps and a dozen main plates. I had the fish and chips. It comes in newspaper– which is a traditional English way of serving it! Nice presentation! The textures were perfect– crunchy golden outside and light flaky fish. It could have used a bit more seasoning, but I’m not complaining. The drink/draft menu was large and diverse. I would go back to try some apps and sit at the bar. I’m disappointed that they didn’t have a grand opening night… If they did– I wasn’t invited…
