This place does not even deserve a star. I have never had a problem with this place until now. Called to place a delivery order and have never been so disrespected in my life. There was some confusion on what size the food comes in… long story short while I was giving my address the man started yelling at me and being completely disrespectful. I have never been talked to like that in my life especially when I am giving this place my money and business. It might have just been this one employee but that has made me never want to get food from there again.

Wok-and-Roll has great tasting food, and you get a great portion size for the money. However, every single time I’ve called in an order, whether it be Monday at 3PM or Friday night at 6PM, I’ve had a difficult time getting through without the line being busy, then when they do answer, I get put on hold for a minimum of 10 minutes. Gets kinda frustrating after awhile. Wish there was more phone lines and staff to speed the process up.

Just ordered steamed dumplings. They were the best I’ve had in Maine! Doughey and packed. So good!!! The place is clean, too. Next time I would order ahead because I waited like 20 min just for them, but that’s because they were busy!!!

I recently moved to Maine and was looking for a good Chinese food place to eat. There were so many options and I decided to try this place out first. I am extremely disappointed in the quality of their food. I have had many different types of Americanized Chinese food and this place is by far pretty low on the list. The time between ordering the food and receiving the food was probably close to 6 minutes and this generally means one thing, that the food isn’t freshly prepared. Therefore when I received my food I was already lowering my expectations for how good the food will be. The boneless ribs I got were dry to the point of hardness and basically had no taste/flavor. As they were preparing it, I saw that they simply just doused the ribs in oil and I saw the oil at the bottom of the container when I got home. The pork fried rice was simply white rice, made dark with soy sauce or something. I don’t know if many people know this but there is too different types of rice grains for white rice and for fried rice, not the same rice used for both. The rice was bland, dry, and partially clumped together meaning it has been sitting out for awhile. The chicken fingers were ginormous, but one bite showed that it was mainly batter. I tried it with the Duck Sauce and the sauce was sweet(normal), but it tasted like it had been watered down or something. The crab rangoons I got had huge clumps of cream cheese in the middle of thin wraps. The outside bites were just the skin and the middle was just a bite of cream cheese. It tasted like something I had made at home for a school picnic when it was my first time making it. Overall I was let down by this place and will definitely not be returning back.

This seems to be the only good take out Chinese food restaurant I’ve been able to find outside of Portland. The food is good. Not great, but good. It tastes good and it smells good but the quality is subpar. I ordered a pint sized order of pork fried rice. It was decently flavorful but the pork was chewy and fatty. I also got an order of shrimp lo mein. It was excellent. Yes it was quite greasy and probably a heart attack in a box, but that’s what you should expect when you get any kind of Americanized Chinese food. Compared to most of what I’ve had it was much more flavorful and was packed with shrimp. I tried the sesame chicken out of curiosity as it seems I’ve only found one that’s actually good, and it was about the same as your typical mall food court chicken. The sauce was thick and syrupy and too sweet. Not my taste. The last thing I ordered was sweet and sour chicken. The sauce was thinner than most of what I’ve had before which made it hard to actually stick to the chicken and get a strong flavor out of it, and the chicken itself was a bit overcooked, but all and all it was okay. Last month I came here and it took an hour for my friend and I to get two combination plates on a Monday at 9:00. Last night my entire family ordered food and it took 10 minutes on a Friday at 7:00, so order time really does vary but compared to most of what’s in the area it’s worth it. It has its flaws but it’s 5 minutes away and has continued to be my go-to Chinese take out joint since I moved to Biddeford Pool a year ago. Not bad.

We stopped ordering from this place after I witnessed the manager yelling at some of the staff I front of customers. Not professional at all! No no no!

their food quality is the same as any other chinese restaurant in any town. side by side comparison, you can’t tell which plate came from which restaurant. the wait for my food is at LEAST a half hour. too many times i got the wrong order. like tonight… they gave me the wrong dish. i could call them back and let them know but why bother. i gave up on them before now i give up again.

Absolute worst experience of Chinese I have ever had I tried them once before and they screwed up my order I ordered a large wonton soup and I got large fried wonton they then came back with a small order of wonton soup the wife wanted was a large wonton with her craving. I’ve been decided to give them another to go and they messed up my order again said they would bring me my food that they forgot never showed up took about an hour and a half for food to arrive. I’ve been there once I’ve been there twice there will not be a third time. And to be honest nobody seems to have their s*** together except for the Cooks

Food is amazing. They need a bigger restaurant with more staff. They’ve completely outgrown that location and its hit or miss with even being able to call in an order because they’re so busy. Being told 45 minutes and having to wait for an hour and a half, or being put on hold for 20 minutes is crazy. Love this place though and will gladly put up with the waiting.

Have now been here 2 times… first time a week ago and it was good enough to get me back through the doors a 2nd time a week later. Not sure what happened this time. Ordered chicken and rice soup to start, nice broth, good rice, lots of chicken. Ordered combo plate with fried rice, beef terriaki, crab rangoon, BBQ pork. Ok, nothing to write home about. Also ordrred some house chow mein that came on a huge plate, also ok… standard stuff, nothing outstanding or memorable. The rangoon were very brown and all I tasted was cream cheese. We also ordered a combo with chicken fingers, general tso’s chicken, and fried rice. The chicken fingers and general tso’s chicken were so doughy they were inedible. …some were so brown and overcooked to the point of being crunchy even drenched in sauce… some were very crunchy on the outside and the batter was not cooked through on the inside. That dish went back… traded for Moo Shoo with shrimp… hard to screw that up… minced veggies, meat, sauce on the side, warm pancakes that you fill and roll up like a burrito. …unless they nuke your pancakes. They came folded on a plate, we’re slightly warm but not easy to open and started tearing as any thin tortilla would when it has been incorrectly heated and left in the air. When warmed, how about folding them and laying them flat in the lovely foil bags you use for some of your takeout items? Not the best experience, not the worst either. Met a lovely young couple who were sharing a plate of rice and orange chicken. Depending on where you go, that can be very spicy or mild with a kick. It smelled amazing and I commented that it looked great. «Carlos» went and got a fork and a plate and presented me with a chunk… it was orangy, savory, not spicy but had a little kick… may give the place another try just to see if this over cooking was just a fluke. I have read other reviews that commented on this also… AND…I happily report no illness or other distress more than 12 hours later.

Wok-N-Roll use to be my favorite delivery chinese place. It’s a decent price, you get a good portion, and it doesn’t taste half-bad. I got take-out here recently with my three friends and the orange chicken and general Tso’s chicken was overcooked to the point it was crunchy. The egg rolls, which are my favorite did not taste right. Everything we ordered besides the fried rice was over cooked and did not taste right. The next day and a half my friends and I were puking and vomiting with extreme stomach pains. I will never order from here again! Food poisioning and over-cooked food does not make it worth it!

Standard American Chinese food. Good sized portions, but don’t order anything tempura battered or the sweet and sour pork. Both are obnoxiously covered in fat. The ginger-orange sauce they serve with everything is fab. If the girl answers the phone, ask for someone else. She is clueless and will hang up on you before you are finished. If you are getting take out, always check that they gave you the right food.(it’s something they stuggle with).

I haven’t ordered from this place in a LONG time. I don’t remember all of the reasons why, but I’ve remembered that they’re the cheapest in town and still haven’t bothered with them. I know that there was a problem with them taking forever to deliver in the past, and a mishap with chinese five spice in my food.(I think it was the same order.) And that was not the last time I ordered from them… So tonight, I order from them just for something different. And the girl tells me that it’ll be about an hour(It’s saturday, I’ll take it.) Key note there is that it’s a young girl. When the hour comes up I tell my roommate that I’d ordered and he actually asked who took my order. «The girl doesn’t write addresses down correctly, your food is probably in Saco.»(They’re still his favorite chinese food place in the area.) I waited another twenty minutes and then called them. Turns out, she wrote my address down wrong and couldn’t figure out how to call me. My street address is very similar phonetically to a much bigger street name that almost every city has. Ive gotten calls from multiple other places because they were on the wrong street, it’s supposed to be a 3 minute fix. I just talked to my other roommate while I was paying for my louis delivery,(Who took only twenty minutes after telling me that they were also running at about an hour.) «What? Did they send it to Saco?» Wok-N-Roll is back on the«eh screw that place» list. It had a great hour and a half in the light.

Not strictly take-out: This place does have booths, but there aren’t many and you won’t want to spend any time in ‘em if they’re empty. I do like five things about this place: They deliver(at least to my joint they do), your order is done super fast, the portions are gigantic, the prices are rock bottom, and the people there are friendly. I see that a lot of people swear by this joint, and I respect the fact that they like to get their favorite Chinese options here: The Subgum Chow Mein, the Szechuan Chicken, egg rolls, chicken wings fried hard, pork strips, Chop Suey, Moo Goo Gai Pan, all the cringe-inducing Chinese-American junk you grew up with and still love. But the food is just gross. Two weeks’ worth of dietary salt in every half-pint carton. MSG levels to set off migraine headaches all the way to the tips of your canines. Lots and lots of greasy, oily goop. All the usual suspects you get with lame-o Chinese food.

Wok-n-Roll is one of the better Chinese restaurants in the area. It’s not fancy inside, though they’re doing some renovating. Wok-n-Roll is about the food and they do a good job with all the standard American Chinese selections. Most people seem to phone in their orders and then pick them up and it’s a system that works well. If you’re in the area and you’re looking for Chinese takeout, put Wok-n-Roll on your short list.

Update: The menu that I’ve added in the photos are a recent menu. If you go on line and look up the restaurant name there is another menu that has sushi on menu. This menu is not accurate. They do not serve sushi. I have mentioned it to the cashier and they are aware of it. Unilocal has the accurate menu! But of course!

Let’s Wok-N-Roll!!! I stopped in here for dinner takeout recently around 6PM on a Saturday. This casual Chinese takeout restaurant is an order at the counter place with an open kitchen. The dining area is very clean which has a few comfortable booths and tables and a flatscreen TV on the wall, the walls are painted light yellow painted with finished wood trim and tile floors. I took a look over the menu before ordering and they offer the standard Chinese dishes including Cantonese, Hunan, Mongolian, and curry dishes. The prices here are reasonable, most dishes under $ 10 and house specialties $ 9.50-$ 14.95. 27 Lunch Specials($ 5.00-$ 5.50) served with pork fried rice are SERVEDALLDAY, a great similar policy offered at another Chinese takeout place(Wing Lee) in Scarborough. 22 Dinner Combinations($ 8.00-$ 8.50) served with pork rice & appetizers are also offered. For dinner, I ordered the L24 Shrimp Lo Mein($ 5.25) with pork fried rice and an order of six(6) Steamed Dumplings($ 5.00). The portions of food was generous for the price. The lo mein had a good balance of vegetables(carrots, onions, fresh mushroom slices, snow peas). water chestnuts(for crunch), and tender baby shrimp, noodles cooked«al dente.» The pork fried rice had a soft texture with small pieces of roast pork(with minimal fat) and sauteed onions. The steamed dumplings had a soft dough shell filled with a ball of ground pork mixture, served with a soy sauce dip. The food overall was enjoyable and tasty. I had leftover food from here for a couple dinners. The young women staffing the front counter were friendly and the service was prompt as I watched my food being freshly prepared. The place was steadily busy as several people were arriving here to pickup their phone-in orders. My food order was ready to go in under 15 minutes after ordering.
