We drove to big bear to enjoy snow and get tattoos on Saturday the 9^th of January. We went to Ryan (the owner) who greeted us quickly. We had no appointment and my son wanted three tattoos right then. Ryan accommodated us, no hesitation. He took his time and drew the tatt specifically for us. The shop is comfortable, warm (27 degrees outside) and everyone was friendly. His hospitality and hard work is AWESOME!!! We will be back next trip to big bear for sure stopping here first. Thank you for everything Ryan!!!

Highest skill on the hill. Ryan has been my artist of choice for about 6 months now and have had 4 fairly large size pieces done including a full sleeve. Every concept I have brought to the shop simply from description has come out exactly the way I picture from start to finish. Prices are the best available and he always goes over time until the tattoo is perfect. The pictures don’t do justice to the detail unfortunatly but I have had others done elsewhere and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Sam is also great very professional patient and provides nearly painless piercings and tattoos with the highest quality available from the jewelry to the equipment. Hands down best in Big Bear

Got a tattoo here 5 weeks ago from Ryan after reading the great reviews on here. It took me a while to get the guts to write a review since I don’t want to turn away customers, however I believe I was totally ripped off I paid 350 for this piece and after only a week it faded to this and has missing shading in places. It has lines under the tail wings that aren’t a supposed to be there and unfinished lines it overall for 350 I believe I should have gotten a way better product I don’t know if he was having a bad day or what it was but for a 4 and a half hour $ 350 tattoo the final product shouldn’t be this

Had the pleasure of getting tattooed by Ryan the owner a couple of months back for our 1 year wedding anniversary! He did such an excellent job on our very intricate King & Queen crown tattoos!!! He made sure to take his time on each of our tattoos & even stayed past his closing time to perfect his craft! Ryan made us feel very comfortable & not to mention we also had our lil 3 month old with us :) If you want to meet great genuine people (hilarious conversation) & get awesome tattoos THIS is the spot you need to go to in Big Bear! We will definitely be back again for more work!!!

Got a tat here last night — my sister and I got all original matching tattoos. What a awesome experience. The artists here are funny, clean, modern, and really nice to look at! :-) Recommended 1000 times over. Also — the price was totally fair. I can say that from the moment I walked into this place I felt welcomed and I was treated very well. I went to another place in town that does tattoos and they were kinda egotistical and rude to me. Tat2Xtream has everything going for them — RECOMMENDED!

Honesty a little bummed out!
My fiancé and I are up in big bear for a little vacation. We decided we both wanted to get a tattoo. After reading all the great reviews we drove down to the shop. Unfortunately when we got there the door was locked. The sign on the door said they we’re open today. But it also had a number for the shop and a number for Ryan. (the owner)
We saw one car in the parking lot with stickers for the shop on it, but no one seemed to be inside.
So we tried calling the shop, no answer.
So then we tried Ryan’s number which went straight to voicemail.
We we’re both so very excited to not only get tattoos, but to get them from this shop! I’m not going to down rate the business, or give low stars just for this. Its just unfortunate all the signs say open but it wasn’t.
Maybe will try again another time. :(

I walked into Tat2xtreme the other night, hoping to get my septum pierced. Sam is the piercer there and he was so great. I was a little nervous but he made me feel comfortable the entire time and did a wonderful job. He was super laid back and he catered to everything I asked him to do. I would recommend any of my friends to come here for piercings and I would definitely come back. The piercing and jewelry was $ 50 but I bought another piercing as well and Sam gave me 2 for the price 1. He also offered to change the piercing for no charge in a couple of weeks. I was really satisfied with his customer service. Also, I liked the shop. I forgot to take pictures, but it was really cozy and comfortable in there. If I ever wanted to get another piercing or a tattoo, I would definitely come back. It was great!

I’ve been wanting a particular tattoo for about 16yrs now but with kids, work, and life in general it took me 16yrs to finally get it… After researching and speaking with several tattoo artists in the San Bernardino county I finally found the perfect artist in Ryan Brink at Tat2Xtream in Big Bear Lake. Now let me clarify this is my absolute 1^st tattoo and a fairly big piece, so naturally I was nervous. Ryan was really easy to talk to, an awesome artist, professional, and made me feel relaxed and comfortable so much so I was able to go almost 7hrs in one session (still need to return in 2wks for 45 mins to an hour for any touch up’s or detailing that may be needed). Ryan was very sociable along with his brother Sam who also is a tattoo artist in his shop, but when Ryan was tattooing he was very much focused in his work and very enthusiastic and excited about my piece. I’m very happy with my black and grey tattoo of Ash from Evil Dead II. AWESOME!
I have 3 more tattoos I still want to get and even though I’ll be moving to L.A. in July, I’ll DEFINITELY make a trip to Big Bear just for Ryan!

Spontaneously a friend and I each got two tattoos after reading the amazing Unilocal reviews during our weekend away. They were kind and true artists with close attention to detail. Excellent work. I would drive all the way back to get more.

I came here and got my septum pierced by Sam. The shop is big and the staff were amazing and really listened to what I wanted and took time when piercing me to really get it right! I can not stress how nice it is to find a shop that is well priced and has a patient staff! I’m from LA and vow not to go anywhere else for anything! Sam was full of knowledge and really took time to talk to you and make you feel comfortable. My piercing healed beautifully! I love it!

This is my first tattoo. I did some research before walking. Tom was very nice and friendly. Hey listen to me learned what I liked, then come up this scratch for me. He took time to listen and answer all my questions. It took Tom a hour to finish the design. We started to work on from 5 o’clock afternoon all the way to the 11 o’clock at night. It took only one session to finish this beautiful detailed tiger tattoo. It is just I liked it. Tom is a very good tattoo artist. He takes his time with his passion to do this piece of art. Thank you Tom. By the way Tom is Ryan’s brother. I am so satisfied with this tattoo I even not to use the coupon. It deserve every penny of it. I am already planning my next one.

Hands down best shop. Ryan brink (owner) did my first tattoo when I was 18 and I’ll never let another person touch me with a needle. I drive all the up to big bear when I live down in San Diego to get all my ink. Best work in Cali.

Ryan was great! Patient with a novice like me. Beautiful design for my ankle. Clean shop, fair prices and a full explanation of how to care for my new tattoo.

Came up to big bear on vacation as we have done for many years while on vacation I passed a tattoo shop in the village I went in to ask a couple of questions about a tattoo that I have been wanting for years I was told I would have to wait a month for an appt for a tattoo with this much detail i got discouraged for a moment so we googled any other shops in this area this is where we found tattoo extreme I emailed ryan the photo of what I wanted i told him what I was told from the other tattoo shop had said and he right away said he can do it right away no appointment necessary he was professional and confident that he can do the job I agreed to go down to his shop for a price much higher than the other shop had giving me upon arrival he indicated that he moved a couple of his local customers appointments to take me I was very impressed with his shop sanitation and prompted service this made my decision much easier no matter what the price was I knew I was going to be satisfied throughout the tattoo ryan and his wife were very kind in answering all of our question on all the local spots and eateries upon completion of my tattoo I was fully satisfied I thank you ryan for makin this vacation a page in my life

This place is seriously awesome. Ryan is amazing, and talented, and considering this was the first tattoo i have ever gotten on my side, extremely interesting to talk to thank god! The ribs, I discovered, are quite tender! (My pain threshold is also zero so I may not be the best gauge I suppose.)
The shop is clean, spacious, and has a ton of character. Ryan spent time making sure he was organized and sanitized before we got started. Melanie is also beautiful and amazing. I feel really fortunate that i was recommended to come here by a friend… Ryan seriously is an artist, bring him something or rack his brain… you won’t be disappointed. That is pretty special as far as tattoo shops, at least in my humble experience.
Thanks Tat2Xtream for being everything I expected and more. I would honestly refer anyone here and know that would leave more than pleased.

Got tattoos done with my husband here and we were impressed! Ryan did a great job on the both of us and is a pretty cool guy.
The only reason why I gave one star off is because of the bathroom! It felt dirty but when you have to go, you have to go. Then I realized there was no toilet paper… no paper towels… and the water faucet didn’t work. So I felt even more gross.

Couldn’t imagine a better place for some amazing skin art! Our artist, Ryan was truly that. He custom designed three tattoos on the spot for my girls an I. He is truly gifted and I could not recommend him more. If you want some original art at an incredibly reasonable price hit him up!

This is the best tattoo place that you can go in the west. The staff is always very friendly and will accommodate your needs to make sure you are comfortable. Ryan (the owner) is the best at what he does. He will take your design and transform it into something magnificent and exactly what you wanted and way better. I have been coming to this shop since July 2013, and had more that 50% of my body tattooed by Ryan. It is more than worth it to have his custom artwork done on your body to cherish forever. Insane quality and no regrets. You will not find another shop like this. So I highly recommend him for all of your tattoo and body mod needs. Peace.

Best tattoo place on the mountain. Got matching Peter Pan tattoos today with daughter and the guys were awesome. Fun, polite, good work and reasonable. Way better then Big Bear Tattoo. Come see Jesse. Go to look at Ryan girls!!!
