I don’t want to increase traffic to this hotel because it is a great place to relax and unwind. Bigfork doesn’t have a great deal to offer, other than a great theatre and okay food and drink, but this hotel makes staying here worth it even if you are there to see Glacier or Whitefish. I am amazed by how quiet it can be even when the town is celebrating Whitewater.

We had about twenty people coming into town for our daughter’s wedding. Margie at the Brumar Estate told us about this place. We ended up renting 9 of their 12 cottages. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, commented on how great the property was and how perfect the cottages were. Shelly was a pleasure to work with, and with the location, everything that we needed could be reached by a 3 minute walk or drive. We stayed in #13, one of the cottages right on the little river… very peaceful. The bed was very comfortable, and even the pullout couch was extremely comfortable for those who slept on it. If you are staying in the Bigfork area, this is the place for you! Be sure to eat as many times as you can at the Pocketstone Café… pancakes and breakfast burritos especially!

Wonderful cottages. We stayed in the Pheasant Cottage. Super cute and right on the river. Up to date amenities(even a washer dryer and full BBQ grill on the deck) so you can stay in if you would like, but it’s walking distance of town, so it’s very convenient. Going off on the amenities, there is a heater in EVERY room which is really nice when it’s freezing. You can heat up the main bathroom plus shower area(two seprate heaters) really quick, so you don’t freeze. I know they have AC too, but it was too cold for us to use. The mattress in this cottage is a tempurpedic knock off, so I actually got a good nights sleep after sleeping on spring for the last 4 nights. We’re definitely coming back!
