Although this place is always busy, it’s packed for a reason! Good service and great food makes this place a must for breakfast in the Kalispell/Bigfork area. I recently tried the breakfast tacos and they did not disappoint. Their Huevos Montana is also incredible. And if you have a sweet tooth, make sure to get their giant cinnamon roll on the side. Just make sure you come hungry because no matter what, you will leave stuffed!

It’s a good thing the food was tasty because it took almost an hour to get it to our table from the time we placed our order. It even took so long that our server came to ask us if we were ready for our check, and we had to remind her that we hadn’t actually eaten yet. Although it was a Saturday afternoon on the cusp of tourist season, we were seated right away and the café was only about two-thirds full so the kitchen was just struggling(there was a sign on the door that said«now hiring kitchen help,» which probably had a lot to do with our experience). I’m not sure the food was worth the price — two Reuben sandwiches, two bacon cheeseburgers, and four sodas was $ 61 — but the café did have a very rustic and enjoyable ambiance.

Wow. Very impressed! All we wanted was a cinnamon roll. The roll was one of the best I’ve ever had(and we got the last one for the day!) Lots of cinnamon, soft and chewy, and homemade cream cheese frosting dolloped on top. I got the Reuben which was delicious. Everything homemade(including corned beef). Very impressed with the friendly atmosphere and amazing homemade food. Breakfast and lunch until closing. :)

We are staying at the Bridge Street Cottages; short walk to Pocketstone Café. We had a 20 minute wait, no seating outside but maybe they hadn’t fully set up for the summer crowd yet. Would have given them a 5 star rating but the coffee was weak, I’m a bold kind of gal. Got a cup of espresso and that solved the issue. We had egg Benedict, side of bacon which was cooked to perfection, slices were thick and very tasty. We then tried the freshly home made cinnamon roll; throw the diet out the window and indulge. It had just come out of the oven, warm and gooey; so worth the calories. Stop on in, you won’t be disappointed.

Great breakfast, probably because it’s the only place that seems to serve breakfast in this town. Waiting list, but once served it’s good.

The food here is fantastic & generously sized. We always leave here feeling stuffed or with leftovers. They make the best lattes in Bigfork. Do be prepared to wait for a table in the busy summer months but they will provide you with a convenient pager that allows you to walk around the entire cute town of Bigfork while you are waiting. If you don’t mind sitting at the bar seats & there is a seat available, those are first come, first served & you can grab one if there is one open. The bread is homemade & they sell leftovers each day if they have any left near closing time.

Waitress wasn’t the most pleasant to deal with. I understand she might have just had a rush of people prior to us showing up but ignoring us because we didn’t order a large meal doesn’t cut it. This is one of the first times I haven’t tipped 20%+ simply because she didn’t seem too interested in what was going on at the table. We saw her when we ordered and when i paid. Oh, and perhaps asking if an adult wants gummy worms and a bunch of candy along with sprinkles on their hot cocoa would help with thinking we are taken seriously as patrons. The food, almost forgot the food. The cinnamon rolls come with a blob of frosting in the middle that is so cold it’s rips apart the roll. The biscuits and gravy are just okay. I’ve made better and told my daughter before she tried them. She immediately said not to compare myself with the poor quality. The biscuits are mushy and dry at the same time. The outside doesn’t have the yummy butter flavor with the semi crisp texture that is followed by flaky tender insides. These just didn’t have that. Very disappointing.

My husband and I came to Bigfork for a nice day away from home. Walking downtown and hearing all the great reviews we decided to stop here. Turns out this was when White Water Festival was happening so yes the entire town was a bit busy. We were seated within minutes, the place was packed… With how busy it was and the lack of servers, we were very unhappy overall. Almost 45 minutes for our food to arrive, after about 20 waiting to order. We spoke to our waitress maybe twice the entire time. Needless to say our day wasn’t made by this fantastic restaurant we had heard about. I would be willing to try it again and post an updated review as I do understand«things happen.» Hopefully the restaurant will be more prepared with such events in the future.

The buttermilk pancakes are thin just the way I like them. And they just melt in you’re mouth. Also their cinnamon buns is one of the best I have had. Wonderful people and wonderful coffees.

I came to Pocketstone Café based off of a friend’s recommendation, it was my first time in Montana and we had a few hours to kill before heading to the airport for our return flight. The small downtown of Big Fork is just adorable, there were a few restaurant options but my friend said Pocketstone was the must try! We put our name in and waited about 20 minutes for our table, we were seated outside on the adorable porch. I got the turkey sandwich which was delicious! The bread it came on was made in house and SOO good, it was fluffy but still held up to the sandwich. Everything on the menu looked awesome, especially the breakfast. When and if I find myself in Big Fork again I will 100% be coming back here!

I’m a fan! Got me with the biscuits and gravy off the bat they are a home run! The basic breakfast and the thick cut bacon was amazing! I loved it and was so full! Coffee is great and they will fix anything on the spot if there’s an issue. The pancakes are superb and the burgers are pretty damn big! Bring your appetite and prepared to be stuffed! The homemade lemonade is worth the price and you get free refills!

Many super choices on the menu. The ambience is cozy and tasteful. All the woods(walls, tables, floors, patio overhang) is wood reclaimed from a local dam, and surrounding area. This is the place to return over and over and for the cheat muffin that will be savored! Our waiter Nick took good care of us and all the staff is efficient and experienced. We are anxious to become regulars.

This is a difficult review because the food was really good but the service made it a horrible experience. We ate here twice for breakfast and both times we experienced poor service. I went back a second time only bc the food was good and I figured the waitress was having a bad day. The second visit they were very busy and our waitress had too many(6) tables spread out throughout the restaurant and patio. Of the four of us, she got two orders completely wrong. The food took 45 min to come. She forgot our drink orders. The barista was obviously not able to handle the rush and my latte arrived shortly before the food. I got up and got my own jams and jellies. Then overheard the table next to us also complain their order was wrong too. It just seemed as if the staff was content in 2nd gear when they really needed to shift into 4th gear for the holiday rush. Its a shame bc in this cute quaint town, this is one of a few breakfast places. I will not visit it again.

A delicious diner with friendly service. Had breakfast here twice on a recent weekend in Bigfork, and I’d definitely continue to go back. I had the breakfast tacos, which were great. My wife had Eggs Benedict which was also very tasty. It’s not unusual for there to be a significant wait to get a table, however, so be sure and plan on that.

We had lunch today and it was not worth the wait. We arrived in the 12:15 to 12:30 time frame and then waited some 45 minutes to get a table. It then took more time than it should to get our food; I estimate it took some 30 minutes or more to our order. We understand waiting for a popular restaurant. However, we waited too long for service, drinks, orders and food. Several people around us complained of the slow service. We each ordered a sandwich, a Reuben and a Veggie. Both were well made. One of us had soup, which was OK, and the other had cole slaw. The dressing had too much sugar in it. I did not finish it. I expect many of the dishes are well made. However, the food is not good enough to wait as long as we did for the food once we finally got a table. The service will need to improve. The kitchen will need to be more efficient. We will try somewhere else next time.
