Huge awesome site. Great layout. Indoor and outdoor bar — including a stage in the back for the band and dancing. Pool tables and casino machines in the front bar and in the back its like a huge backyard with grass, trees and a bar and live band lol. Worth a look if you find yourself on this side of the lake. Btw, Dave makes a pretty good Bloody Mary.

Apparently draft beers are $ 5 here??? Update: asked several people who visit the garden bar if the draft beer is usually so expensive? Collective answer was no!!! Wtf??? #ripedoff

Cover was cheap, that was nice. But their ATM was down, and they don’t except checks, debit cards, or credit cards. Cash only. Also it cost five bucks for a draft beer. When I asked the bartender why they don’t except plastic, she said its are too much hassle. And my friend wasn’t happy with the quality of her Caesar drink. Good atmosphere otherwise.

Austin is an awesome bartender. I came off of almost 17 hours of travel and he reopened the kitchen for me. I had the best chicken fingers I’ve ever had(and I don’t even like chicken fingers). He’s super attentive and conversational to everyone in the bar but not in any way annoying. I could have stayed there all night. Reasonable prices and the place is super clean. You have to love Bigfork anyway, but it is places like this and people like Austin that make it what it is.

The Garden Bar has gone into the shitter! If u can get past the smell when u first walk in, and actually decide to eat or drink there, than good luck! The beer taste like they haven’t cleaned the lines/taps in months, maybe years! The bathrooms are horrible, and I would make sure you don’t touch anything! Zero cleanliness, food is clearly frozen, tasteless, and way overpriced! They have no wait staff, and the 2 bartenders clearly don’t want to be there! You better bring a lot of cash, cause they don’t accept credit cards, and their prices are comparable to a nice restaurant! I don’t know how any locals would or could waste their time, or even be able to afford this overpriced shit hole! As a tourist and repeat customer, I would go down to The Raven, the local bowling alley, or really any other place!

A Dive Bar in the good olé’ Dive Bar tradition! The Swiss Mushroom Burger was the best call here, with Fries the size of quarter potatoes! Yum! If you’re going before your Big Fork Theatre show, it’s fast! And juicy!

We stumbled upon this bar while stopping in Bigfork for dinner on our way to Glacier. We followed the sound of an AMAZING singer and band playing live in their funky outdoor space. We chowed down on a decent veggie burger, pretty fresh, and drank a local brew. Above all, really nice and welcoming folks in a semi-divey atmosphere.

Nope, not a fan. Went to check out the Garden Bar while on vacation in Bigfork this past Saturday night for a beer with my SIL, BIL and hubby. Worse bartenders ever! We walked into the garden area, walked right up to a blonde gal behind the bar, asked what was on tap… She replied with«i don’t f*cking know, go inside». Ok… So we go inside… Get beers from a male bartender. Hubby tries to open a tab with his visa card, that bartender looks at the card like its poison and says«we don’t take that». What happened to good old customer service? Do not give garden bar your money. Buy beer at harvest foods for cheaper and enjoy your company on the balcony of your condo! Or go to flathead brewery. They were nice.

Dan, Dave, owner, whatever your name is, don’t tell us that our teams aren’t playing just because you don’t want to change one of the many TVs to either game(TVs that no one was watching) especially when we clearly know that our teams were playing… the stats were literally appearing at the bottom of the game you were watching. I know we aren’t locals but Come On Man! You just lost out on good customers who were looking for a good time watching football with the locals and planned on pigging out and drinking a ton of beer. Thankfully I called the Marina Cay Resort that has the Champs Sports Bar(which is down the street) and they accommodated us(great service and our games — every game every sunday!!) I gave you Two stars bc the bartender deserves a high five for being a nice guy.

The beer is cold(many varieties on tap), the food is good(best nachos you’ll find), the prices reasonable. Cool atmosphere. Order your own food at the kitchen door and they bring it to you. Outdoor patio in back for beautiful summer days in Bigfork. The place is popular, so best to go early if you don’t like a full house. Can get noisy nights and weekends. The owner is a friendly guy, as are most of the barmaids and bartenders(tho not all). Our favorite place in Bigfork.

Love it or only like it, it’s the only game in town, I happen to be a fan. Due to it being the only full-on bar in the town, it get’s crazy busy(all day) during any event held in Bigfork and just plain busy on Friday and Saturday nights. It has some monitors for the big game, pretty good bar food, a decent beer selection, and if it gets too crowded you can go through the back door and sit in the outdoor patio. It’s a pretty colorful place and I always have a good time when I go… well, except for that one time. Getting a bartender who doesn’t have an attitude or who is attentive to your needs can be hit or miss. If you’re in Bigfork and you want to go to a bar and have a drink, you really don’t have a choice. You will eventually have to go to The Garden, and you will be fine and you will have a good time.

The Garden Bar in Bigfork, Montana has not changed that much over the years. It is still the best place in town to go for a beer(or other drink) and a burger. Drinks are pretty reasonably priced, and the«garden area» out back is great in the evenings, or when it is not too hot out. The menu here is pretty basic, but they do solid burgers and sandwiches. You have to order and pay at the kitchen window. The kitchen staff are very experienced and work hard to get your food out quickly. The bathrooms could definitely be cleaner, but they do get a lot of traffic. This is «the» place to be for 4th of July in Bigfork. Note: they were operating«cash only» during the 4th. Parking will be tight at this time of year.

The bartender is a tool, i should send him a shirt«this would be a great business if it was not for all the customers» Ditch the attutude old man, getting asked what pale ales you have is part of your job, just cause you have to turn up the brain wattage to remember all three of them does not make me the dick. If I asked you to go wash my car while I drank the beer, then maybe your shitty attitude would have been deserved. PS: I should have asked for my tip back.

I totally agree with Bob F.‘s review on every conceivable level. If you’re a local, you get rock star treatment because this place is definately where the locals hang out. The bartenders have been there for years and they remember what each and every local likes to indulge in. If you’re from out of town and you’re looking for service with a smile, lower your expectations and just be nice and you’ll get a great cocktail, a really awesome burger and you’ll meet some pretty wonderful people. And if you like to dance — wait until it gets dark and have at it. The owner is a huge supporter of the community who donates his time and his resources so often that it’s hard to keep track of it all. That alone makes it worth supporting this great place.

Laughed my ass off when I read the review from Michael M for the Garden. What does he mean they looked at him funny. Has he looked in a mirror? Pretty much if you get poor service or the bartenders are rude to you, it’s because you’re a schmuck! If you get a bad poor, it’s b/c they don’t want you there. Stiff drinks, good beer selection, rowdy crowd. They cheat the other guy and pass the savings on to you.

The dude bartenders seemed stressed and gave me dirty looks. The guy that served me had a black eye. I wouldn’t come here unless you are already lit and need a place big enough for your friends to hang without destroying your own house. Wild West for sure.

This was the only bar we checked out but I guess it’s really the only one. Stick with ordering beer or basic well drinks. My friend ordered a Tom Collins and she tasted it and was like ‘it tastes like sprite.’ The bartender sees that we are all tasting it and she has a weird look on her face. He’s like ‘does it taste okay? I don’t know what’s in it so I mixed sprite, sour mix and triple sec.’ Which if you know what a Tom Collin is it really none of the above. He didn’t bother to asked her if she knew how to make it or offer to make her something else. Otherwise good music and hear they have live bands play too. Great outdoor seating with a big ceiling heat lamp.
