The hidden jewel in the village. Great service and food. Must try the Scottish eggs as an appetizer.(:

I had the salmon and was told it would be medium, it was def well done, still tasty though my husband had the burger and it was really good but needed different bread. We also had the stuffed mushrooms for an Ap, and they were tasty as well, this was the best meal we had so far while staying in big fork for a week.

Excellent Bacon Blue chicken salad! My husband and some loved the Scotch Eggs and then their bacon cheeseburgers were awesome. The buns were works of art!

If you like risotto, this is your place! Food is tasty and the service is wonderful! Love it when they replace silverware after each course! Wish they could fancy up the décor tho. Convenient location to see the show after dinner.

Best burgers in the west for lunch. Hard to sway from the ahi tuna for dinner. Rissoto is always done to perfection. Salads done by Norm are the best salad you will ever have. Service is stellar from Brittany, Tiffany and Joel. Drinks are always full. Thanks Grille 459 for the wonderful experience consistently.

Tiffany the waitress needs to find work in another industry… like perhaps something that does not involve working with the public. Nasty attitude – and no… you did not hide it well. The food was mediocre… our 30 steak was burnt on one end and raw on the other… nice touch! Bartender dude was cool and nice… and the only reason I am giving this place 2 stars.

A surprisingly good meal. The hostess was unprofessional and oddly snooty, enough to make us reconsider eating here, but our server was very warm and knowledgeable and quickly changed our mind. Husband had the sirloin — excellent meat, seasoned well — very happy and he is rarely happy when he orders steak. I had Ono wahoo — very good, although I would have been wise to follow the server’s recommendation that Ono is very firm and that the halibut on special was better. :) Lemon caper sauce and Parmesan risotto really made the meal. A few downsides — appeared to be understaffed, especially for a Friday night, so the server was stretched pretty thin. Hostess as previously mentioned. Small details like we were never be offered bread although it was brought to other tables? And coffee was served in a really small French press that got cold quickly. But overall we left satisfied…

A very pleasant experience. This is our(my husband and I’s) third time coming here and we had a relaxing evening with casual, attentive service. There is something about Grille 459 that makes you want to come back. There are a few things they could work on, sure, but you can tell there is love in the food and we’ve been very happy with all of our experiences. Tonite we had dinner and I started with a Margarita with freshly made lime sour. We had the Stuffed Clams which were packed with clams, very rich and cheesy! My husband chose the Sirloin which he said was cooked perfectly. He felt the White Chedder Mashed Potatoes were lacking(I tasted them and they were bland), but the compote herbed garlic butter atop the steak made up for the potatoes to some extent. I chose the Ono Wahoo. Our waitress said it would be done medium rare, but it was well done and over-cooked for my tastes. But the flavor was amazing, served with a Lemon Butter Caper sauce, Grilled Asparagus(seasonal veg) and Parmasean Risotto(choice of either risotto or mashed potatoe). Beware dieters! The risotto is packed with cream and butter and has a mild parmesean flavor, really good. I was happy to have stuck my neck out to try the risotto again, as last time it was undercooked. It was cooked perfectly this time! Our meals came with a generous portion of green leafed salad and they have a variety of unique and homemade dressings. We chose Honey Ginger. The ambience here is inviting; mood lighted and well-decorated, with retro«grille» car pics on the wall. We’ve come here for lunch as well and my husband said he had the best burger he has had in Montana(it’s the one with the Portabello mushroom atop the Angus beef). We’ll be back again. It’s a top 10 choice in the Flathead, IMHO.

How cute is this… The bartender is the owner, the server is his wife, his twin brother is the chef, and his poppa is the dishwasher. I love small town places like this. Friendly service and delicious food to grab before a summer show at the playhouse across the street.

I wish I could write a better review. We were looking forward to having dinner here; I think the problem is inconsistency. We ordered the Scotch egg; it was good, but was surprised the egg was cooked split. Must be a Montana or Big Fork alternative. We had good salads, but they are too big. My wife and I could have split the salad and it would have been plenty. We had a very nice St. Suprey Sauvignon Blanc that was very fairly priced. This was a good course. The entres were are a problem. Rebecca’s steak was done perfectly; her mashed potatoes were done just right. She was the happiest diner. Ethan had the same steak and it was done just right; however, his risotto was gummy. It felt over cooked. Phil’s pork chop was over cooked, but had a nice reduction. He also had the gummy risotto. I ordered the Portobello mushroom risotto. It was so unappetizing i sent it back and asked for something else. The rice was tasteless and liquid. The mushroom had been grilled and simply placed on top of the rice. it was not marinated. How do you cut a mushroom when it is placed on top of soft rice? The server could tell I did not like my entrée and asked if i wanted something else; great for her. I asked for the pork chop; my chop was a bit bigger and cooked just right; however, the reduction was not complete and runny. My mash potatoes we good. Each of us had something good to eat, but only one person had an entire entrée that was cook as advertized. They have a good wine list that has some things that are expensive and some more fairly priced. Although our server handled my entrée very well, she disappeared for a long period of time. She likely missed the sale of a third bottle of wine. There are other good places to try here; i will go elsewhere before I will try this place again. That is too bad because they do somethings very well. Inconsistency seems to be the pattern.

I took my husband here one time and the food was amazing and very reasonably priced. I was super excited to go back. So there’s no surprise that when some friends came to visit, I wanted to take them here. It was the biggest mistake of their visit to Montana. The service was very rude and slow. The waitress treated my friend and I like we were in the wrong for not placing the order right.(Her burger was raw and cold in the middle… not what she wanted.) My other friends risotto was undercooked and bland. I was highly disappointed. We weren’t even compensated for their mistakes and didn’t even get an apology. As a local Bigfork resident, I was so embarrassed to have raved to my friends about this place only to endure that kind of experience. I will not be going back.

I just realized I was a horrible person and never wrote a review for this WONDERFUL restaurant! Grille 459 hosted the rehearsal dinner for our wedding last summer and they closed the whole thing, just for us! Joel was amazing to work with and extremely in tune to our wants and needs for our rehearsal dinner. Everyone had a fabulous time and the fact that we had the whole place to ourselves was amazing. We got to create our own mini-menu and the food was all served promptly and was delicious! Thank you Grille 459 for making our rehearsal dinner so special!

Ehh. This was more like 2.5 but the service brought it to 3. Went for a birthday dinner while staying in Bigfork on a vacation. For appetizers we had the mussels(very good) and stuffed mushrooms(just okay, kind of dry). Our mains, I had the salmon, and the three other members had three different types of steak. Everything was over cooked. The salmon was a little dry. All the steaks that were supposed to be medium– well were well, and the one that was supposed to be medium was med-well. The huckleberry sauce on the salmon was good, as was the risotto. The asparagus was good, not great. The house salad’s that came with the entrée’s were really good, as were the house made dressings. When we told the server about the proteins being overcooked, she was really concerned and offered to have them re-fired. We decided to pass. They did bring us a free dessert. The dessert was good. Our waitress was on top of things. The wine was good and reasonably priced. Overall, just ok.

This is based on one visit to Grill 459. We decided to have something off of each section of the menu because we had to know how they all were! We started with the buffalo shrimp and they were delicious. The blue cheese dressing served with the shrimp was some of the best I’ve had! We had two entrees, the first was a ribeye with the mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly and my friend usually uses A-1 but did not here(that is big)! The second entrée was the ahi tuna with Parmesan risotto. Again, the tuna was cooked perfectly and the risotto was fantastic! We were full but there was no stopping us! Crème brûlée cheesecake it was. I usually will not purchase desserts at restaurants but I’d pay for this again. If I wasn’t so full I would have fought over the last bite! Two drinks were purchased and were the average price and were made well. I would say the service was average. We were attended to and received our food in a timely manner.
