Golden Crown II

The food is very good. Old world Chinese food. The best! I have not eaten in but do take out. They will cook to order anything special you want.

Have always enjoyed there food. Had one bad night and we were told never to call again after we called to complain. Our two dishes we paid for the chicken was so over cooked we couldn’t even chew through it. Very disappointed

Old school New England style Americanized Chinese food, right down to the bread rolls accompanying the order, the homemade duck (applesauce & molasses), sweet/​sour (cherry) sauces, fried appetizer combo (pu pu platter!) and of course, lobster sauce (brown, pork, and no lobster). Crab Rangoon are generously sized with plenty of cream cheese filling. Chicken wings are just the right flavor and fried crispy, without any batter or flour (just the way they should be!). We over ordered a ton of food, and the portions were large.
As with all Chinese takeout joints, they were overwhelmed on New Years Eve, so it’s unfair to judge based on that singular experience. We called in an order early in the morning, to schedule to pick up later in the evening, and the order was ready right when I arrived. Their credit card machine stopped working, but luckily I had a bunch of cash on me (which isn’t usually the case). But as a whole, the food was great and exactly what we were expecting.

The food was OK. Actually really horrible. The egg roll filling was raw and the 2 entrees I ordered were bland. If you are looking for good chinese food, go to sichuan gourmet instead,

i have been going to golden crown for a few years now, and and even before it was golden crown. i am a very fussy eater and they make it just the way i like it. plus they deliver within 30 minute no matter what time or which day it is.

Good food at a good price.
The veggie fried rice is very good with large pieces of veggies. Crab ragoons are perfectly filled. I havent had a bad meal once and get take out from here at least once a month!

Pork fried rice was a tasty surprise, bright fresh flavor
Boneless ribs MOIST and tender, flavor good but not special
Chicken fingers juicy and tender no too much breading
Egg roll not your usual cabbage filled delight. It was probably something closer to hong kong with a drier meatier strangely seasoned interior. Not bad tasting, but for most it would be quite unexpected. ThePad Thai was excellent, with that slightly sweet taste and fresh ground peanut topping. Personally would like a bit more veg and green onion, but that’s me. Prices were very good and a bargain for the quality. Service quick.
