The new cashier at the front was very sweet and very nice. He even upsold us on a good deal for the big-ass pizza. We also tried the garlic knots which we had read were excellent. Sadly, while the pizza was so-so compared to, say, Elvio’s in North Conway or Veria in Hudson, the garlic knots we were told were made fresh to order as they were out of the«waiting in a pan getting dried out but here for you to order» ones. Something about these things was… off. Whether it was old dried out parmesan or dried up, seldom-used parsley, they were just… unappealing except for being big blobs of garlicky dough. Sadly, this will be our first and last trip to this location, and the search for a local pizza shop that can hold its own continues…

This location does not understand what extra sauce and well done means. The Chelmsford location is better. The 2 locations are like night and day!

What some awesome pizza? Come here. Want to be treated like a piece of trash? Come here. I love the pizza here however the manager, who has been there before and after the«Under New Management» sign was up, is a complete d**k. He is so rude and a general pain in the a$s. Like I said I love their pizza, but I won’t be coming here anymore. If I want to get yelled at I’ll stay at work.

We used to LOVE Sal’s in Billerica. After trying all of the other pizza shops(and there’s quite a few) in the area it was obvious Sal’s was the exact pizza we were looking for. Coming from the New York area, it’s been rough trying to find good pizza in New England. But this was as close as we’ve found. So we were a little unsure when we saw the banner outside that read«Under New Management». Turns out new management, means completely different, totally worse pizza. I don’t know what they’re doing differently, but the pizza tastes completely different and lacks any flavor. It’s sad, but we won’t be coming back now, despite the coupons they keep mailing us, unless they can somehow figure out how to keep their new management, and bring back the old pizza.

People crack me up. They buy a pizza and slam the owner for things like a new employee or they are 40 minutes late to pick up their order and gripe that it has cooled. Folks… it’s a pizza. Sal’s in Billerica is clean, bright and comfortable and they know how to serve food of the highest quality! The Pizza at Sal’s Billerica is a great value and it is simply delicious. The owner can seem a bit ornery at times but the truth is that’s his way of being friendly and joking with his clients. Would you rather a shop owner ignore his patrons? Don’t be fooled! He genuinely cares about his customers and the quality of his product. We have been visiting Sal’s in Billerica for close to a decade and the restaurant continues to provide a great product for a fair price. Keep it up!!!
