Stromboli’s

I’ve been eating their pizza, periodically for over 10 years. I’ve never really been happy with the customer service level from the order taking staff (delivery drivers, always pleasant though, they get an A+++++), but the quality of the food outweighed the crappy service. Well, last night I ordered a pizza to be delivered, I was told over a 1 hour delivery time frame (they always tell me this), not a big issue. But once the pizza arrived, it was so soggy, greasy, you couldn’t even pick up the piece of pizza,. I didn’t even take a bite of the pizza before taking this picture. The 2 pizza slices on the plate, look at the left hand side slice, seriously, this is disgusting. Pizza fell apart, was soggy. and gross. I waited 1 hour 12 minutes for a pizza, that ultimately had to be placed in my oven at home, in order for it to be edible.

Have eaten here a few times. I think the food is great, but could definitely use better management and staff. I’ve had staff 3 times refuse to make my food even though it was ordered while it was open. Need bettrr people

Consistently good pizza — friendly people.
Only place I go to locally for pizza — brick oven style.
I never eat the crust on most pizzas as it’s just too filling, but I make an exception here — crust is just too good to pass up.
Their entrees are pretty good as well and I always get a good chunk of their delicious bread with my meal.
Delivery is good and as long as the order is $ 10 or more — they deliver.

Didnt have steak and cheese so I got the calzone. It was all dough and not great at all. Maybe Ill try the pizza next time

The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is that they forgot to include any utensils — and they were delivering to a hotel! Luckily, I was able to scrounge some from the front desk. The delivery was faster than predicted — and it’s still snowing, roads bad– and the chicken curroso is delicious, and the garden salad is lovely and fresh. And both are ample — I have a fridge in my room, so I have dinner for tomorrow too. And all this for $ 21.97– plus a generous tip to the driver– thanks!

Now this joint knows how to provide high quality and great flavor. Every pizza is made fresh to order with top notch ingredients. The Garlic Glazed Chicken pizza is simply mouthwatering and is hands down the go-​to pizza for all my coworkers and I. While the pizzas are surely smaller than nearby Milano’s, and for roughly the same price, it is the quality and flavor that puts Stromboli’s a step above.

We have been getting their food for almost 20 years (about 5 – 6 times per year), hands down our favorite Italian takeout restaurant (even though we live in another town)! Food is awesome and very reasonably priced! Kids menu is also very good, plus kids love to seat by the oven and watch the fire (while playing with pizza doe, a nice touch). I can’t comment about their delivery service because we ether take out or dine in and never used it, but I have zero complaints over all those years! I would have given 4.5 stars, but they do not have that option and Strombolys is closer to a 5 than a 4.
This is our go-​to place when all the other restaurants have ridiculous wait!

My go-​to pizza place. I also like the Calzones and Eggplant on foccacia sandwich. Pasta dishes are meh for me, but otherwise I’m a fan.

My wife and I had the day off on a Friday a couple weeks ago and thought we’d give them another shot since it was during the day and this time we’d pick up the food. I was told it would be ready in 30 mins so I arrived after 30 mins and was told it would be right out. While I’m waiting I overheard the woman behind the counter on the phone talking to someone who clearly wasn’t happy that their order wasn’t delivered yet as she kept telling the person on the phone that the delivery guy was on his way. She then called the delivery guy asking where he was and said that the person who ordered their food wasn’t happy. I ended up waiting another 20 mins for my food and during that time someone called back, most likely the same person, and told the woman to just cancel the order. I know this because she then called the delivery guy and told him to forget it and just come back to the store.
Clearly I’m not the only one who has a problem with their delivery times but that shouldn’t cause me to have to wait 50 mins for two small pizzas. I’m pretty sure that our food wasn’t even in the oven when I got there 30 mins later, as instructed. The only positive is that when my food was finally ready it was actually hot but the wait time was ridiculous.
Not sure if they are truly that busy all the time and need more delivery drivers but they certainly can’t be trusted for prompt delivery and now it seems that even picking up food is no guarantee that it’ll be ready on time.

Do not get delivery from this place. After receiving my pizza, a meatball and onion, I was very sad to open the box to see a burnt, cold, circle of sadness. Businesses with integrity don’t give bad product to those who can’t return it. They also left the skin on the onions. That’s gross. Never do this. I will not be ordering from Stromboli’s again.

I love the Venetian Chicken here and hardly ever get anything else. My husband likes the chicken or eggplant parm. We love the bread that comes with. We go and pick it up and bring it home, but it is clean to sit and eat there. Kids are always there, so family-​friendly. I have never ordered for delivery. I like how the food tastes like fancy restaurant food but I can bring it home and have it by my fireplace.

Pizza is fresh and made to order. Wood burning brick oven pizza with medium thinness with a sauce that is well developed, properly acidic, and best of all not too sweet. Well done!

Rude & over priced. After not ordering lunch for a while since I had a rude encounter with the man there over the phone the last time when they forgot an item in the order & never returned with it I caved and ordered again some people at work. Missed 1 of 2 pasta fagioli’s from the order. Called and had to explain repeatedly the delivery address (that they just came from mind you) and that I still wanted the soup. Explained again the soup was to have no bread in it. When it finally arrived, it was accompanied by a large hunk of visibly burnt bread (fine didn’t want it anyway) but then opened the soup to find it had the large chunks of bread in it that I specifically ordered NOT be in it (twice!). After removing the sogging hunks I then ate the half of cup of pasta fagioli that was left, which to add was lacking flavor. Cross them off your list.

They are 1a in Billerica for pizza and pasta. Always fresh, hot and tasty. Good pizza sizes and pasta portions. They get the 1a because they deliver. 1b is within walking distance north.

I would have thought that paying 9.00 for a grilled Cesar salad would have given a nice size salad, fresh, I got what looked like old romaine, supper small… Never again!!!

Good decent italian.

Yet another 4 star rated local pizza joint on Unilocal that is a disappointment. The pizza wasn’t terrible per say, but it wasn’t good either. Overall it was bland and oily while the crust was particularly uninspiring. I can think of several pizza chains I would rather go to so that tells you all you need to know.
Also, I would have given this place 2.5 stars but as we all know Unilocal does not have ½ stars. I have been rounding up lately, but in this case I decided to round down to 2.

I frequent this place whenever I have a day off and meet with my friends during their lunch breaks. Pretty much everything on the menu looks great and sounds great. However, I typically split a buffalo chicken pizza with my friends and it’s bomb dot com! Oh and they give you warm bread and butter spread to start. The friendly owner or one of his friendly staff members brings your order right to your table. No one waits your table so no tip needed :)

We came here hoping for a great Italian meal. Specifically some good pizza.
In every small town in New England, there’s the local pizza place where everyone comes after a little league game, or when Mom doesn’t want to cook, or just to get together on a Friday night. Stromboli’s is that type of place.
It’s not gourmet. It’s not better than one you would find in the North End, or East Boston. It’s just okay pizza. The owner tries very hard to please, and he seems to care what you think of his restaurant. So, I’ll leave it at that.
