Got takeout, very fast service and receiving food. Catfish fingers, brisket and hot link sausage. All really good. Fries were mushy but the baked were tasty as usual. No eating utensils. Good thing the hotel had some. DIDN’T GET A CORN BREAD MUFFIN!

I’ve never had a server do this before. I know it’s a bbq place but I was really wanting a steak. So when I ordered the server cut me off and went on to say that the steak wasn’t really cooked in a cast iron skillet, the steak is low quality with a high price and on and on. So I went with the beef brisket instead and it was OK … not very warm but it was OK. Why the heck is the steak on their menu if it’s really that bad? They weren’t full but our guy only stopped once to see how everything was tasting (hate that phrase) and once more to drop the bill. I usually do take out … next time.

Awesome food tonight for my party of 8. Brisket, chicken, baby back ribs all superb. Beans side dish was great. Corn bread perfect. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was enjoyable. Great experience here this evening.

Went to famous dave’s because we have been on the road all day and it sounded amazing! The service was terrible! The people were rude and half the employees were standing around not doing anything! We finally get our food after waiting longer than we should have the the food was cold! The Mac and cheese was not even room temp the potatoes were not cooked all the way and the brisket was luke warm! I went to take the Mac and cheese up to tell them it was cold and I accidentally dropped it, which of course is my fault but I had to clean it up myself! Then they didn’t even clean the floor after so no one would slip! Horrible experience! Could have gone to McDonald to get better service and warm food.

How can you beat this in a very large state that has so many family barbecues and very few barbecue restaurants? Go to Billings, Bozeman, Missoula and Kalispell, this barbecue is a great alternative.

The staff and manager were super nice. They had a new cook on hand, who’s still learning the recipies and they messed up my boyfriend’s sandwich. Our waitress (we sat on the bar area) came over to us and told us what happened. They made him a completely new one (that was correct). They comped a round of drinks and the sandwich for the inconvenience. Honestly he wouldn’t have known the different if they didn’t say anything, but kudos to them for being up front, respect.
We were just passing through Billings for the night and this was close to our Hotel. The food overall was pretty decent. I would definitely recommend to those passing through looking for a place to eat dinner.

If you want ribs, this is their specialty and it lives up to the hype. The ribs are perfectly smoked and cooked. Plenty of classic sides including a yummy corn muffin. Beer is good with decent selection on tap. Staff was a little light so service was limited.

Very tasty ribs, brisket, and dessert. They need more work on the chicken as it seems like something you could do at home but they cook all the other food really well. If you have a craving for BBQ in Billings stop here and get your fix. The desserts were amazing, wish they had the bread pudding but the banana pudding and the brownie was delicious. The brownie was moist and had all the chocolate flavors you crave when thinking about a brownie and the banana pudding had that right amount of graham cracker crunch topped with creamy pudding and slices of bananas. Get your BBQ and dessert fix at Famous Dave’s, you won’t regret it.

i liked their décor alot, deer heads, antlers, etc. having come from cities, this was so different and interesting to look at.
The food was good, not the best. I expect better meats in MT. Like mouth watering BBQ, not just good BBQ, amazing BBQ.
It was a nice lunch nevertheless and my belly was full and happy after.

YYYUUUMMM!
I love me some good olé’ American BBQ and Famous Dave’s did not disappoint!
This restaurant is huge with LOTS of sitting available. Staff is exceptionally friendly. Well, I was in the Midwest, wasn’t I? I don’t think I’ve ever been served by a more friendly staff than the people who work here.
My bf and I shared a combo plate for two which included St. Louise style ribs, BBQ Chicken, Tri Tip, corn, corn muffins, beans, coleslaw and french fries. I typically don’t like coleslaw but theirs is really tasty. They have about 6 different types of BBQ sauces to choose from in bottles on every table. Don’t worry, you’ll get wet naps after the meal.
I was extremely satisfied… hit the spot so well. Of course, with a cold Guinness next to my ribs, this girl was in heaven!
Definitely coming back next time I’m in Billings.

The food came out very quickly, which concerned me because it looked like it had been sitting under a heating lamp for awhile. I ate it anyway. It was definitely a little dried out. The brownie dessert was delicious! Service was quick, prompt and friendly. Establishment seemed clean.

Should have known not to eat bbq outside of Texas and definitely not outside the South. Sides and wife’s grilled chicken salad were ok but the brisket was poor. Smoke ring was non existent and meat was tough.

Third try is a charm!
Shout out to Famous Jenn who’s an excellent server.
Country Roasted Chicken? Yes! They’re not out this time! And YES, I ordered it. It’s so dang delicious with that Georgia Mustard BBQ Sauce.
Food was out in the jiffy. No 50 minute wait.
Dave’s was on the ball today.

Good place for some BBQ!
I don’t understand why this place gets a bad rap on Unilocal.The service was very good and the waitresses here are very curious and helpful.
The salmon and buffalo shrimp were very tasty but, the brisket was alil dry.
I liked all of there signature sauces also

We ordered a half slab of ribs with mash potato and cole slaw the devil spit burger and 2 kid meals. The ribs were tasty and sauce yummy they must have been good because my daugter devoured them.
The Devil Spit burger came with slivers of onion rings I expected fat rings but they were more like slivers they came to the table cold, but the server got me another order of hot ones but they are really on the salty side and tasted more like lil fried batter strips than onion.
The burger itself was just ok I only had half the meat was also dry not juicy like a burger should be. Would I go back here? Probably not but I might choose to just buy slabs of ribs to serve at home with my own sides.
The server (Brayden) was awesome and very customer friendly more servers should be like him!
