Visited Old Chicago during the week in the evening for the first time a few months ago with friends. Service was way less then perfect. It took forever for our server to take our orders and then to bring our food and drinks. The food took so long to come out of the kitchen. She barely came to our table, so we resorted to waving her down. The food and drinks were delicious. Took forever to get refills and food boxes. I am not impressed with Old Chicago. Visited Old Chicago for the second time to give this place a second chance. Went around the same time as our first visit and more of the same less then perfect service. Food and drinks took forever to get to our table. Server wasn’t very friendly.

I had an amazing chicken spinach and avocado salad with a lemon vinaigrette. It was delicious. We had fast food service too.

This place is not good. I came here at 5:00 and I haven’t gotten my food yet. There are 17 booths open and the kitchen can’t keep up. There aren’t many people here. And some people don’t have silverware yet. Talk about crap. The food is ok not yummy.

Was highly impressed by this chain until I went the second time only a week later. I’m not a fan of chain restaurants and prefer local stops almost exclusively. But… I’m a sucker for fast and cheapish places near to costco so I can run in before it closes. So… I found myself at Old Chicago. We sat down on a Sunday around 3:30p wouldn’t you know it, happy hour starts 4−6p daily! Not just during the week – daily! So, we decided to work the system and ordered our first beers from a nice craft beer draft menu. Then we split(2 adults) a deep dish – Chicago style Mediterranean pizza which was so yummy. Want to try the big size of this because I don’t think the individual size shows true justice to the deep dish crust. We also got two side salads, blue cheese made in house-awesome! Then on hold for 4p we added to appetizers from the half off appetizer menu. And it wasn’t just a select few apps, it was the whole menu. So, we got the jalapeño cheese pretzels, the calamari and two more half priced pints of craft beer! Our bill totaled $ 30! Yay you just made a hungry fat cheap girl happy. The pretzels were amazing by the way. We definitely will return from 4−6p daily to get them. Served with an awesome gooey yellow cheese sauce, they were perfectly warm and just enough salty. The second time, a week later, we ordered the same pretzels. A non-Cheese eater at the table asked if there was cheese in them – I said yes, the waitress said no. She was completely unfamiliar with the menu. The food we ordered just the week before was made/presented differently. Very weird. She didn’t know any of the beers on the menu and made us refer to them by a number listed. Then, Pinot noir was ordered and she brought a white wine. We said, «nope that’s not it.» She said, «it was the pine-not one right?» ROFL. «Yes the Pine-not one but the red one, not the gregorio one.» Lol We also got the wrong pizza. It was a disaster night. Lesson learned, don’t Judge a place by the first time you go. Oh yea and there were TVs and it looked like there was a bar area. Not my bag. I’m the foodie type, not the sporty type. Well, I’ll play some sports, but don’t care to watch other people play them, unless I’m at a live game of some sort. Then I’m interested enough in getting food and beers to watch that.

We came in for Sunday football and had wings, beer and pizza and our assessment on all three were: overpriced and not all that great. Actually, the beer selection is quite good, but $ 7.50 for a Guinness? Come on… And then there were the wings: 9 wings for $ 12. Total rip-off considering the almost total absence of sauce. Then there was the pizza, maybe 8″ across for an individual? $ 12. Too much. As was everything here. Except the service. Our used plates and glasses stacked up while we sat and waited for another beer. Won’t be back.

This place used to have better imported beers on tap but now it’s just the usual assortment of microbrews and BMC available everywhere else in town. The service has really gone down hill as well with crazy long wait times. If you don’t like it… don’t bother complaining about it because they couldn’t care less.

I came in with my friends for lunch, we sat down and were greeted right away, we ordered, and then things started going down hill; it took 45 minutes to get our food, which turned out to not even be the food we ordered them waited another 15 minutes to get the right food. our server didn’t come to our table to reassure us that our food is coming. management did take our feelings into consideration but nothing more than that. as you can see, I won’t be coming back

Food was great. Waitress, Suzanne, dropped off the food and we never saw her again until she showed up with the bill. I was looking forward to desert, denied. Drink glass empty, denied. Food was good though.

Horrid service. Waited an hour and fifteen minutes for our food and it was cold and the wrong order. Also had to go back into the kitchen for silverware because waitress was overburdened and couldn’t get for us.

I used to really enjoy going to Old Chicago to have meals with friends and watch sports on the tvs. My last three experiences were so awful that I will not return again. All three times I have found an empty table in the bar area and had to wait about 15 minutes for it to be cleaned. And that is after having to ask four different people. Service a terribly slow and had to wait a VERY long time for our food. Once i got the food i had to send it back several times due to it being burnt to a crisp. I am not a pickt eater and i do not send food back for slight errors but the food was seriously not edible. Also, when my friend ordered a beer, it still had lipstick on the glass from the person who drank from it previously.

Ok… the food(most of the time) is amazing!!! So many things on the menu that I would highly recommend! Like the double deckoroni pizza! And the Italian nachos! But…sometimes I order something and it’s just obvious that it’s lacking. Like the pesto macaroni I got the other night, it needed about 3x the amount of cheese sauce that it was given. Really dry and bland. :-/made me so sad. Also, customer service is one of the worse here. Especially if u come in for a later dinner(since they are open later then almost all other restaurants in the city). Your normally greeted by a younger person, usually teenage ish. And half the staff you see tends to be kids… perhaps that’s the problem here? But there is some adult servers. We came for a late dinner just days ago, and we stood at the front desk waiting for about 5 mins. Waiting patiently as 2 young girl employees sat at a booth table chatting, while glancing over at us every few seconds. Just when i was about to scream like a 4 year old that’s hungry, the two girls finally came to greet us. Did I mention the restaurant was completely empty at this time, so it was just us. After we were finally greeted, I had to argue with them to «allow» us to be seated on the restaurant side, and not the bar side. They insisted that we not dirty up their already clean restaurant side. I explained that as a pregnant woman, I would rather not sit with loud and belligerent drunks(that I could see from the doorway already). She fought with me for about 5 mins on this, before she finally sat us on the correct side. Following the seating issues, overall service from the waitress was horrible. She literally took our order while standing there glaring. She never gave us refills at her request. We had to ask for everything, but not before playing hide and go seek of trying to find her first! And it took about 40 mins to get a side of ranch… in an empty restaurant. The customer service deserves a 1 star rating. The food deserves a 4 star rating. That’s why we prefer takeout food from here. You can get the great food! And skip the snotty service. And you don’t have to tip for takeout. ;-)

Not a good experience two nights in a row. Tried to eat there and was told not enough servers. We choose to eat at others people.

$ 20+ dollars for a pizza, when I could have bought one out of a WalMart freezer for under half the price. You’re a chain but seriously take some personal pride. Never again.

There were 4 of us and we had the following: Italian sandwich which had very good taste but was very greasy on the bottom in the basket which made the bread a little soggy. Fires with a dipping sauce were outstanding. Broccoli chicken alfredo mac and cheese was very good. Individual deep dish cheese pizza was good and very cheesy. A Meat Me Calzone that was also tasty but very greasy. Our server was outstanding. Take away some of the grease and a 5 star rating is there.

We waited over an hour for our food. Do not order the calamari, you get about five pieces! Felt bad for the wait staff as they were having to make up for the kitchen staff! Inexcusable for a restaurant to take 1 hour for 2 child portions of spaghetti and small pizza!

I think that Old Chicago is a great place for both food and drinks I love to go during their happy hour 4−6pm cause you get half price drinks and appetizers, and their stuffed meatballs I could eat them for hours! Also they have an amazing pomegranate mojito me and my husband have to be careful cause we could spend all our money shoving their food in our face!

Tried this place for the first time with some friends. The pizza was not as good as expected but the worst part was the absolute terrible service we got. It took our server about 20 minutes to bring our dessert because he forgot to put the order in.

Being from Chicago and on vacation is a real eye-opener that us Chicagoans are super spoiled when it comes to food. After a few days of having buffalo burgers and less than appetizing food, Old Chicago was a nice change. I had the chicken pizza — It was so good I ate the whole thing. The pesto was amazing and I wish I could get some right now. Husbo had the spaghetti and meatballs. Although it was nothing like you’ll get in Chi-town, the sauce was tasty and the meatball was pretty good. Love all the beers they have available.

Ok did a comparison of old Chicago and bullmans it was very close it’s personal taste. Chicago has several great beers on draft and a pizza that is pretty good. You have one that is wood fired the other oven cooked. My wife liked the beer selection and flavors of ingredient. My personal taste is wood fired and ingredients so with both neck and neck in taste it will come down to either who’s driving our switching off. Both are good and you need to decide which your taste buds want

Really wanted to give this place 4 stars, but the service wasn’t so fantastic, cooking the pizza took waay too long, so 3.5 stars. Other than that(and the fact that they dare call a room with only keno and poker machines a casino), the food was BOMB. I got the chicken pesto artisan style pizza. It was huuge and so filling. The chicken wasn’t dry, I could see and taste the layer of pesto underneath the ooey gooey cheese, which wasn’t too salty, just perfect, the caramelized onions balanced out the richness of the pizza beautifully, and the crust was amazing, kind of thick, but not chewy, and a little crisp. Soo good. I tried a bit of my boo’s fisherman’s catch(of course), which was basically fish and chips with some fried butterflied shrimp. The coating on the fish was nice and crispy, with just a hint of beer, and the fish itself was nice and firm, not falling apart. The fries were just eh, I’ve had much better. Now, the cool part of this dish was that I hate shrimp, I hate it, I don’t know why, but I do. But, I absolutely loooved the shrimp in this basket. It wasn’t oily or overly coated and the shrimp had a very nice texture and kind of sweet flavor. The tartar sauce was nice and creamy, and not overly tartar-y. I’ll definitely come back to this place if I ever stop by Billings again. Eat here, not at the airport in Billings. It’s just a little off the(90 west?) freeway.
