It doesn’t matter what you order, they probably won’t have it and will wait until you have already waited long enough that you should have your food to let you know. Glad we only ordered an appetizer. They even over cooked nachos.

Truly an amazing place. Remember the snobby attitude of your high school lunch lady? Believe it or not a place does exist that even the high school cafeteria worker is both over qualified and entirely too nice to be employed. If you hate over attendant servers who fill your coffee and ask if you need anything this the place. A shotgun may be required for service. Thought about taking a nap but the faux cushions are the material of speed bumps. So come in, have a seat. Order what you want, kitchen serves what they want. Hopefully you show up for«the grand slam» TM: when the wait staff brawl for tables. Always be prepared to video the spectacle. Sometimes i have these days where i forget what the emotional abuse of my parents was like. Well my local denny’s is always a friendly reminder. So come on down to a little southern place where everybody knows your name it’s «what youse want.»

From the surly staff to the cold food, Denny’s has it all! While you wait for an indeterminate amount of time, you’ll enjoy complimentary screaming infants while listening to Denny’s production of stomp the musical from the kitchen. But that’s not all, marvel how expertly the chefs at Denny’s take to hand craft rubbery pancakes that you swear could double as mud flaps from the nearby boutique truck stop. You’ll also get to enjoy Denny’s very own selection of free range, organic meth heads wandering around the restaurant waiting to take a shower next door. Ahh Denny’s, diarrhea never happened so easily.

My department made a to go order and called it in. When our representative arrived and tried to go ahead a pay they said not until the food was done. 45 min later they return with the food and advise that one order was discontinued and if I wanted anything else it would be ready in another 30 – 40 min. Really? So force everyone to eat cold food when YOUR employee could of said this on the phone while placing the order or even when we arrived and tried to pay you could of said something. Nope you wait till the whole order was done. I would complain to the manager but I don’t want any tainted food in return. So buyer beware if your on a time line you may want to call somewhere else.

Worse meal ever. Tilapia was so salty it was inedible. Roasted potatoes were too salty, also. Originally ordered salad and didn’t inform us it was unavailable till everyone else’s food was ready. Waitress very nice. This used to be our go to place but won’t eat here again after two days in a row with messed up food. Addendum: Manager comped 50% off the meal. Considering the other two meals were fine I felt this a satisfactory resolution.

I did not know this place was in Birmingham. But I will say my family had a wonderful time and the food was great. We all had something different and there were no complaints. There were just heads down and no talking from our mouths slapping our tongues high five! The best thing I had was the turkey bacon and pancakes. My turkey bacon was thick and wonderful. Plus the pancakes had pecans in them and I did not need anything else on them. The pecans had brown sugar on them and they were cooked perfectly in my pancakes. Yes for Denny’s! P. S. They had a working pay phone outside this place! #theystillhavepayphones lol

We stopped here on the way home from the airport on New Years Eve, it was late and we were hungry and needed gas so we took a chance. The good ratings helped. I had the roast turkey and it was good and hot. Hubby had a big hamburger and he really enjoyed his as well. The service was great. If the general quality of the food had been better we would have rated it a 5 but the turkey was dry and the mashed potatoes were packaged but it was Denny’s and maybe I should have had a sandwich. We would go back!

After years of being gone from the(questionably) Magic City, it appears that Denny’s has found its way back under the watch of our bare-backed god of the forge. Interestingly enough, the spot for its reappearance is connected to none other than a Flying J truck stop in/near Fultondale. :| Regardless of the location, however, the food and the prices are still as welcomed as ever. All you can eat pancakes for $ 4, specialty omelettes/skillets, late night breakfast offerings — a nice change from visits to the«awful waffle» when you find your stomach grumbling after a night of clubbing/drinking, or just because.(I give Waffle House a hard time, but that place is still a beacon of hope for us B’ham night owls. lol) When I visited this new Denny’s late-night, there were a few sketchy-looking characters in the place; but any regulars to WH will be all-too-familiar with this scenario, and it was nothing that would make you question the selection of eateries made. I’m not going to drag out a review of «Denny’s» — chances are you’ve probably been to one at least once in your lifetime. If you haven’t, think Waffle House but as a wider, more open restaurant, pancakes a-plenty, and a slightly better chance of not freezing your _s_off while dining.(Also think slightly sticky everything. That pancake syrup apparently gets everywhere… ewww.) :D This particular location is worth the drive from wherever you are in the city, ao give it a whirl. C’mon, it’s freakin’ «Denny’s»…
