If you can avoid it, go to any McDonald’s but this one. While conveniently located, the service is consistently sub par. I’ve experienced rude employees on multiple occasions. I am normally one to overlook someone having a bad day and try again(which I have done at this particular location), but the employees at this restaurant are not nice and the food is better at other McDonalds for sure.

Ordered a Sausage biscuit, hash brown and a water with ketchup and mustard. No water, ketchup or mustard. Guy was rude at the window.

I ran in one night and walked by a man sitting in a booth that smelled so atrocious I nearly lost my appetite. I don’t know if he would have even been allowed in other establishments, but every customer who walked in had to walk right past him. The employee who that served me was unprofessional at the least, plus they messed my order up and served me a Flurry that they didn’t even bother to mix up – a plump of ice cream at the bottom and a sprinkle of toppings dusted on top. Like the other downtown location, McDonald’s employees have a complete lack of any positive characteristic you would hope to find in any individual that handles your food.

Honestly, I never thought I’d be reviewing a McDonald’s. Everyone eats at one from time to time but as often is the case, we aren’t proud of it; not to the point of talking about it, much less submitting a review. I’ve lived in two places near this location and I’ve been hitting up this McDonald’s off and on for years. The service, quality of food, and friendliness of the staff, in my opinion are second to none. Like, to the point of being weird. It’s McDonald’s. You expect a dropped ball from time to time. Never the case at this location. The food is piping hot and perfectly seasoned. They aren’t heavy-handed, nor shy in their condiment use. Is there ketchup in you bag? Yes, 3 – 5. Did they include your dressing/sauce? Yes. Probably two. 3 – 4 napkins, every time. The straw is ALWAYS in the bag. The drinks are freshly iced and tapped. My order has NEVER been wrong. The staff here seem to attack their job with the kind of zeal that is rare for a fast-food franchise. Smiles, courtesy and polite banter from everyone, even at 2 am. The Drive-Thru experience(my usual) is as good, if not better than the dine-in. In fast-food, when is that ever the case? Have you ever had cold McDonald’s fries that didn’t have enough salt on them? I have. It’s god awful. But NEVER at this location. I recently saw where employees from this location banded together with Burger King employees from the location across the street to form a respectful and peaceful protest regarding a minimum wage hike, making it possible to work these jobs and ACTUALLY provide for themselves and their families. That’s why I’m vocalizing my honest high opinion of this location. Their dedication to job performance and service shows and they, like all people who work for a living, deserve a living wage. Frankly, I could stomach paying a reasonable amount more for my meal just as well as I can stomach eating a double quarter pounder at 3 am. Hats off to this crew, From a long-time fan.

We stopped in while on our way to a meeting at St Vincent. It’s a McDonald’s. it was clean and the staff as nice. Very quick and the location for where we needed to be was perfect.

I had a bad encounter here with what was supposed to be an apple pie that kept being a cherry pie, and awkward«service» once. I’ve been another couple times, and it seemed fine. Definitely not a consistently perfect establishment by any means. It’s right in the shadow of St. Vincent’s Hospital. Oh, and there are normally a couple homeless lookin’ dudes there at night when I have been if that matters to you at all.

This McDonalds off of Clairmont Ave next to St Vincents is the worst McDonalds I’ve been to in the city!!! I have had to go back several times because my order was wrong. Had to go in from the drive thru line due to such rude service and complain. I’ve been served coffee in a filthy coffee stained cup and given to like there was no problem. Their customer service sucks, not to mention they always skimp on how much syrup they give on sundaes and strawberries in that strawberry lemonade and rent a cop that so calls direct traffic acts like it’s a boot camp. I live 2 minutes away but will gladly drive 2 hours away before I go back!!! Horrible service and attitude most of the time.

To be the busiest McDonald’s in Alabama, these people have it together. You get your food almost as fast as the order is placed and it is piping hot!
