It’s an Old Navy. There’s not much more to say. I do believe this is one of the more organized and clean Old Navy’s that I’ve been in. Also, the staff is usually nice, if not bending over backwards to assist you. For the price range of the clothing they offer, it’s about the level of service I would expect.

My visit to the Old Navy store located at The Summit in Birmingham was so horrible that I will not return… ever! I spent over an hour shopping and was ready to try on a 2 items. I approached the dressing room and was told that the dressing room was closed. I pointed out that there were still people inside as I could hear them and see them from where I was standing. I was again told it was closed because the store was closing soon. I had spent over an hour shopping for the armful of clothing and was determined to try on 2 items. There were still people shopping and 4 people in the checkout line. I approached another employee and asked if I could please try on 2 items and explained my predicament; she directed me to the person in charge, Caitlyn,(unsure if spelled correctly). Caitlyn explained that the dressing room should have closed 15 minutes ago and refused to allow me to try on the clothes, she stated this was a store manager policy. I laid the clothing down and left. There was not a sign anywhere warning customers that the dressing room closed early nor was there an overhead announcement.

Four shirts and a skirt for less than $ 27IS pretty satisfying when you are in need of some cheap duds. But this place is kind of dumpy. Walking through the clearance section was a chore, since there was a big pile of clothes in the middle of the walkway that a disgruntled employee was not too happy to be putting back on hangers. I prefer to shop the sales at Gap… sister company, better quality, and similar super-low prices — especially when they have an extra 40% off.

My wife likes this place, like any wife who likes a place filled with cheap clothes that are all pretty much«on sale». I however only find it useful for buying kids clothes. The stuff they have for guys is always funny looking and never fits quite right.
