3rd time here and it gets slower and slower every time. Two words: under staffed. Food isn’t bad though, it’s less greasy than BBCAND Mornings which I appreciate!

Dang!!! Good burgers and killer potato salad. The pancakes are HUGE and oh so «savory»!!! Shady dog-friendly patio.

Good, basic diner food. I liked the home fries better than the omelette. A quaint location. Indifferent service. Not bad at all. I would go back.

Previous reviews of slow service had us concerned. However, it really wasn’t that bad. One server handling 6+ tables and one cook. Breakfast was hot, plentiful, and tasty. I don’t think hype wait was out of line for the breakfast rush.

A thumps down — totally baffled when I informed the waitress we were ready to order and she informs me we’ll have to wait until the table next to ours orders first. When I asked why, she explained that they were here before us and we couldn’t order until they did. When I said I was confused and asked what if they decide to hang out before they order, she said she wouldn’t take our order because it would just throw her off and we would have to wait. I’m just saying… if you can’t multitask you shouldn’t be a waitress. In the end we waited additional 15 minutes before placing order and after waiting another 30 minutes walked out. Bizarre, rude and frustrating service.

Basic breakfast foods, well prepared from fresh ingedients, not real fast to get your food, but the place was continuously full and service was attentive, friendly and good, and food was hot, tasted great, and worth the wait.

Quaint and quiet, this cute little spot is definitely savory. I arrived after most of my party had already finished ordering, and I placed an order for eggs over medium with potatos. My order arrived impressively fast and the potatoes were perfectly seasoned. I plan on coming back on my next visit to town!

Very good food! Quaint atmosphere. Good service but don’t come here if you’re in a hurry.

My boyfriend and I spent a couple days in Bisbee last week. We ate breakfast here both days. It was recommended by one of the Bisbee Coffee Company employees. I’m torn about how to rate this. The food was solidly good but it’s basic breakfast and lunch food. We had different servers each day but they both pretty much did everything(take orders, deliver food, bus tables) for the entire two rooms so service was a bit on the slower side. We were in no hurry so not a problem for us. The first day my boyfriend had the biscuits and gravy with eggs and I had the hash-browns with gravy and a side of sausage. The gravy was so good. Not too thick, full of sausage flavor but not greasy. The hash-browns were perfect: crispy on the outside soft on the inside. The sausage was OK. The second day my boyfriend and I both ordered the hash-browns with gravy. He had the side of sausage while I chose bacon this time. The hash-browns and gravy were just as good as the prior day. They get points for consistency. The coffee was fine though we normally drink espresso or an americano at home so it feels weak to me. Prices are cheap so it’s a great value.

One of the tastiest food in town. Places like this makes Bisbee a foodies haven. Come here for the friendly big smile service and home cooking. Best burgers in town!

This is a neat place to venture to for breakfast while stealing away your weekend in the little wonderland we call Bisbee. It’s no frills and no fuss. Just good old fashioned breakfasts with no pretense or agenda. If the weather abides, go around to the patio for a nice and quiet miniature secret garden. The food was dependable and our server was nice. Just watch out for how your table levels on the patio or you can end up wearing half you coffee like moi. Whoopsie!

One could do worse. It had rained the night before, so thinking that the seating would be wet, we sat inside. Having been here a couple of times, I remember the patio as a pleasant little place to take your coffee and wait(and wait and wait) for your food to come. Inside is another story. It’s not terrible, but since you’re going to be there a while, you might as well try for the patio regardless of how wet your butt might get. I ordered a breakfast burrito, which was substantial and quite good. It would have been better had the tortilla not been dried out and crumbling. The last time I was here I recall there being something called an «immigrant breakfast»… maybe that was the burrito or the huevos rancheros. Either way, they appear to have changed the menu. No immigrants here.

Agreeing with Eric. Not sure if they are just rude, or racist. But considering the poor service and the bean and cheese burrito being called an «immigrant burrito» on the menu(what does that even mean!?) I’m going to go with racist.

When you drive into the town of Bisbee, it’s like a little gem tucked away in the mountains, almost like a picturesque village in Europe. My family went there last Sunday morning and thought for sure it would be a prime spot for some great chow. Well, I guess all the hippies in town don’t wake up before noon because hardly anything was open. We asked a local where we could grab some brunch and they recommended Savory Spot and one other place. We tried to go to the other place first but it was closed. So we had to walk back up hill again to the Savory Spot. As soon as you open the door you are disappointed at how small it is inside. The dining area is about the size of an RV. My parents had to sit at a separate table from me and my husband because the tables and seating area were that small. There was only one waitress and one cook manning the whole place! So needless to say, the service was slow. Once we finally received our food, it was pretty tasty. We all enjoyed what we ordered. It tasted homemade. I’ll give them that.

When I go to a short order place like this for breakfast, I require one freaking thing: cook my eggs over easy. You’re going to ask me how I want my eggs, and then I’m going to say, «over easy,» and then my eggs should have runny yolks. That is pretty much all I expect. I ordered the huevos rancheros, and they got one of the eggs right. The other yolk was solid all the way through. Over easy fail. Tortillas had a damp, soggy texture. Beans were straight from the can. They actually needed some salt. At least everything was hot. The chilies were OK, nice texture, nice heat. About halfway through the onions started to overpower them, but I picked out some onions and it was more enjoyable. Ambiance: zero. Staff: cheerful, friendly. Disappeared when I wanted to pay the bill.

Yum! I’m glad we found this place. It’s very«Bizbee». The breakfast menu is just right with something for everyone. Great walk from the hotel through the middle of town too. We missed the patio — Next Time!

Thanks to all the Unilocalers who included prices for their meals. Value is important to some of us and without prices you cannot determine value of a meal. This was our fifth breakfast at the Savory Spot in three years. Each meal has been as good as the last. The waitress, who has worked here since day one, always has been cheerful, pleasant, and efficient. The comments about poor service mystify us. The food took what we would consider to be an average amount of time to arrive. The coffee always is excellent quality. I cannot bring myself to get anything but the hashbrowns and grilled mushrooms, tomato, and onion with melted cheese on top as it is so tasty. For $ 4.25 it is quite the deal. My wife ordered a pancake with a fried egg on the side. The pancake was huge, thick, and nicely browned. The egg was fine. Her bill was about $ 2.50. Total bill for two with one coffee was around $ 9 tax included. Most breakfast spots in Bisbee would charge that much for ONE breakfast and coffee. We will continue to give our business to this cute little diner.

I’ve been here twice now, almost two years apart, and I’m truly torn as to what to think. The first time left me unimpressed enough to… well, not come back for two years. I don’t remember a whole lot about it, other than that we sat inside(it was during a monsoon), there was very little décor, the food was seriously mediocre, and the whole experience frankly unimpressive. Not quite awful enough to deserve a one-star rating, but very«meh». However, I walk past here every day on the way to work, and it always looks so lovely on their patio. And since my favorite breakfast restaurant nearby closed recently, I thought I’d give them another go. Sadly, the experience was still a mixed bag of epic proportions. The service was amazingly slow — it’s not a big restaurant, but still you’d think they’d have more than one waitress working on a crowded Sunday morning. We waited about fifteen minutes just for our first cup of coffee, and I had to wave her down for a refill after another ten minutes went by with our cups empty. And considering all the food is short-order style, a half-hour-plus wait is really pushing it. On the other hand, their patio really is killer. Shady and lovely and pleasant even on a hot summer morning, with a waterfall to help keep things cool — if you’re not in a hurry, which we weren’t, you almost don’t mind the wait. Additionally, they’re Doing It Right with regards to the coffee: they use Old Bisbee Roasters, and charge relatively little for it. My food, however, sadly dashed any hopes of a relatively unfettered positive experience. I ordered the HBC(hash browns, bacon and cheese — the menu’s big on abbreviations), and while the bacon and cheese were perfectly done and proportioned, the hash browns were pathetically undercooked. In all fairness, however, my husband had the special and said it was excellent. Really, their saving graces are their prices and the patio. For less than $ 20 for two people after tax and tip, I don’t feel overcharged, and the patio(and good coffee) made the wait bearable. But I’m not sure it’s an experience I’d recommend without some serious caveats.

I’m hoping they are racist and they didn’t want us eating there which would explain the food and service… but I don’t think they were. Watered down OJ, huevos rancheros took 30 minutes then came out with ice cold sauce, nobody could finish their pancakes because they were so bad. The bacon was okay(but isn’t bacon). Too many other good place to eat in Bisbee, skip this one.

We decided to have breakfast here because it was right across the street and it had a gorgeous patio. Service is very friendly and great. Food is pretty scrumptious. I had the 2 biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs over easy and home fries(basically hashed browns). The potatoes were nicely crisp and pretty flavorful. The biscuits were not as moist and soft as I would like, but not too bad. My boyfriend had the breakfast burrito which I liked more than mine. Overall, pretty decent food — nothing that stands out — good prices, very lovely place and good service. The quaint patio outside is also dog friendly and they serve a nice bowl of water for any doggie customers. I wouldn’t mind at all returning!
