Kerby’s Koney Island

Hard to imagine for a restaurant of this kind that screws up pancakes. Got mine mushy with pieces of onion o who knows what on them. Service was good and restaurant looks clean and nice. First and last time here!

Alright so I’m at kerby’s and I’m eating had a good mean, good waitress then it comes to dessert and we order a cheesecake. We get the cheese cake and my boyfriend bites into the cheesecake, he’s enjoying it. Asks me if I want a bite, so I look at the cheesecake and right on top of the cheesecake there’s mold!
I’m speechless. He ate the cheesecake without knowing there was mold because the cheesecake was serve to us on its side.
I immediately call over my waitress and tell her that there is mold on my cheesecake. She didn’t heisted at all and took the cheesecake to the back and asked if we would like a new one.
Gladly said no thanks, so she gave us a refund for it and she apologized. We still tipped her because she was a good waitress, but I am highly upset. If he gets sick from this molded cheesecake, we will sue! No restaurants ever should serve their customers old, moldy cheesecakes or anything in that matter. Also while this was happening the manager did not bother to come talk to us at all! Sure, the waitress apologize but I feel that the manager should of came and addressed us personally about something like this. No one bothered to care but our waitress, terrible customer service and from the looks of all the other reviews on this location is pretty bad. It’s disgusting, I will not be coming back ever again.

The manager there is an inconsiderate person and does not care what the costumers wants or expects, she does not even come to the table to talk to her costumers that complain about the food. HORRIBLE RESTAURANT… DO NOT GO THERE. Food was DISGUSTING

I live right around the corner from this place so I unfortunately go too much simply because it’s convenient. SEVERAL times I have come here and had horrible service and the food has been… Edible at best. I swear I hate going here but some times it is the only place open and I’m given no choice. Anyways, as gross as it’s been there have been few instances where it is ok. Until today… My dad bought avgolemono soup to go. As I got home to eat it, I spooned out a large (thankfully dead) spider. This was the absolute last straw for me. I will never be eating there again. They need to seriously clean up their shop, hire new employees who are not rude and ghetto (leaving out the manager who is always sweet). The place has turned into a straight up dump because it is the only place open late in the area and they think they can stay shitty. Side note: my sister once found plastic in her chicken wrap & we’ve found hair in an omelette. As I read this I feel ridiculous for ever returning to this place… Just want to give fair warning to any looking to go here. Steer clear!

We eat here probably 1x/​week. Good coney island food. Super friendly waitstaff. Great family restaurant.
Wish they still had Loukamathes.

I have been going to this location for years. The food and service has always been acceptable, however tonight I phoned in an order to go and ordered a burger with mushrooms, cheese and tomato only. When I got home I realized the burger was covered in minced onions and had no tomato. I drove back to the restaurant to get the correct burger. I politely explained the situation and was told I needed to specifically say no onions. Several times I tried to explain I specifically said mushrooms, cheese and tomato ONLY. Only meaning nothing else. I was given a new burger but without any apology for the inconvenience. The manager was very rude. I won’t be giving them my business again.

Friendly, quick service. We were in and out in less than 30 minutes and $ 11 for 2. My complaints are that we both had scrambled eggs, toast and bacon. But the toast was saturated with butter and the bacon was waaaaay too salty. But inevitably we will return.

I like coming here for breakfast any time of the day. Great place if you are limited on time. They are fast and friendly… the food is what you would expect from a coney island… I have never left here disappointed.
If you are a kid at heart like I am you have to order a scoop or two of the superman ice cream… lol. I love that I can pop in here anytime they are open and indulge in a past time favorite treat.

This place is conveniently located on the corner of Woodward and Square Lake Rd. If you are having a Coney withdrawal, this is as good as any to support that fix.

I like that July is Coney month and dogs are only $ 1 each all month long. The chili cheese fries are also good. Oh yeah, I do have to give them props for making a delicious low fat Greek dressing, I prefer it to the regular one it’s so good and there bean soup is also really good.

Stopped in after shopping at the Costco a few months ago and got a delicious omelet to go. Went back after another shopping trip and chose to eat in. Mistake. The service was friendly but then I had to sit and listen to the other waitresses across the room complain with each other during my meal. Also noticed another waitress with her fingers hanging down on the food as it was delivered — after she gave her head a good scratchin’. Gross. Why am I rating them a 2 again? Okay, that’s better. My omelet was completely wrong and I was offered cold omelet fixins to make it right. I was never offered a new meal and in the end, they took the omelet I did not eat off the bill per my request — the meal was still almost $ 5 for toast and hash browns! The milk was spoiled and the experience was a fail. Had I been without children, I certainly would have made a bigger fuss but that can tend to ruin the experience for others. We went about our day and won’t be back.
