I have to preface this by saying I am a chef by trade so I know what I am talking about. I stopped in tonight after a huge bar mitzvah I catered out in Mineola, NY. I ordered a sub with turkey, roast beef, swiss cheese, pickles, Russian dressing, shredded romaine & tomato. I was going for the whole cold Cuban thing. I grabbed my sandwich and drink and proceeded to my car. The bread was more stale the Amy Schumer’s comic routine. The deli meat seemed to be up to par but the lack of dressing, lettuce and tomato left me wishing I had purchased 2 waters rather then one. This was one of the driest sandwiches I have ever purchased. The sandwiches were much better before this became a Mega Quick Chek. I’m not saying you should expect hautě cuisine here but the sandwich was horrible and the place was dead. They need to train their staff better. I’m going to go home and drink the aquarium. Hope this place gets better.

This Quick Chek has changed so much since its huge remodel. They now have a gas station attached! They are now clean and organized! It is a huge improvement from what the other reviews say.

I WAS a regular at Quick Check for 8 years since I moved into Butler. It’s two streets away from my house. The Coffee was great as were the Subs & Buttered Rolls. The manager & employees were very nice, friendly & helpful. Until about 9 months to 1 year ago. They hired a new Blond girl named Christine. She works nights & she doesn’t seem to know what she is doing. The other employees show her what to do & how to do it several times, but she doesn’t seem to get it. I can see the frustration on the faces of the other employees as they try to teach her. She does not work well with the other employees. She does the bare minimum amount of work & doesn’t seem to care at all. All she does is Text, talk about her«NAILS» & her boyfriend«STEVEN» or her Son. All the other employees are nice neat & clean, with their hair combed. They wear nice white ironed shirts, tucked in with a name tags & are busy working & helping customers, happy & smiling. She on the other hand is the EXACTOPPOSITE!!! She is a SLOB! Her shirt is GRAY&WRINKLED, hanging out of her pants, no name tag, & her hair is a dirty mess. While working at the register she wipes her nose with her hand, scratches her head, & yawns without covering her mouth or saying excuse me. She is very slow at the register just taking her time & making mistakes, meanwhile the line gets longer & longer, customers get frustrated & roll their eyes. The other employee is busy at the Deli counter making sandwiches so they can not go over & help her out. When she sees a regular customer she knows, she shows them her«NAILS» & talks about her boyfriend«Steven» or her Son. The poor customers just agree with her & say oh that’s nice. After bagging their items she continues to talk to them as if they are her good friends. Meanwhile the line gets longer & longer. After three(3) long months of this I now go to the Bloomingdale 7 – 11 a mile away. I see many of the people who once shopped at Quick Check. I go back to Quick Check every three(3) months hoping she’s no longer there but she is still there saying the same thing. My High School kids told me about« Unilocal» so here I am UnilocalING about QUICKCHECK.

Total disaster tried to buy a quart of milk and waited 20 minutes behind 14 people on line. A voided order could only be cleared by the manager who was busy making sandwiches and couldn’t be bothered to stop and help. I asked the manager to help out and was told to wait or drive down the street and buy my Milk. Waited and there, will be no next time. Avoid this Quick Chek if you can.

Slightly run down with a consistent sketchy crowd, but gets the job done. Anticipating a remodeling and new gas station being built next door soon.

Small & simple but be warned, they do NOT have ping pong balls should your journey send you in search of them.

This is a Quick Chek w/o a gas station. Stopped by on a lazy day to get breakfast and coffee. While drinking coffee ordered a 4.99 sandwich and asked kindly to make it like a salad. The employees here were really nice and made quite an excellent sandwich. My only complaint is that I was asked if I wanted anything extra, I requested tomatoes, and I received more lettuce instead. Of course, I had originally requested tomatoes when placing the order but alas there were none to be seen on the sandwich. This is further compounded in that I was told to go pay for my sandwich as they made it so I was unable to monitor the sandwich making progress and provide an alert as to its improper making. But they were ohh so nice to me… The coffee tasted fresh enough, even though I still do not like the carafes which allow them to have the coffee out longer… good bye freshness guarantee!
