Fairfield Inn

I stayed here for one night during a long trip. My room was clean and quiet and very plain. Not that I’m expecting some great design but I’ve stayed in other Fairfield’s that had more personality. The staff was friendly and the gym was small but the equipment was in good shape. The location is on the west side and I’m no expert on Bloomington but all the «action (restaurants, etc) seemed to be on the east side of the interstate. The hotel is right next to a Walmart which was convenient. The breakfast was what you would expect. Nothing fancy but met the need. I would recommend this hotel if you’re not looking for all the bells and whistles but want a good clean room.

As a Marriott Gold elite member, I stay in a lot of Marriott properties. I almost always find them to be clean and well taken care of. I enjoy staying in the same chain of hotels because the beds and pillows are usually very comparable.
I enjoy the Fairfield property. It is extremely convenient from the interstate and is close to restaurants. There is very little traffic noise and the rooms are in very good shape.
This hotel is a step above some of the other Marriott properties. The staff here is wonderful. I checked in tonight and was helped by a young man named Jason. He was not only proficient at his job book was extremely helpful and incredibly friendly. Where person spends 140 – 160 nights in a hotel somewhere on the road, you tend to judge a hotel by cleanliness, amenities but most importantly by the staff. This hotel is a winner.

Mike had a baseball tournament in Bloomington this past weekend, so we packed up the baby and hit the road. We got to the hotel before the 3:00 check in, so they let us check in early, which is always nice. We had a room on the ground floor, right next to the side exit, which was also nice seeing as how our daughter loves to scream her head off when she gets put in her car seat… this made for an easy escape :)
The work out room was nice, two treadmills, an elliptical and some weights. The pool was really tiny, and Mike mentioned that it was really warm… which kind of freaks me out in public pools… why is it so warm?
The continental breakfast was really nice, eggs, sausage, fruits, yogurts, pretty much anything you could want.
The only thing I would mention is that they always seemed really short staffed. There was only one person working at any given time and even when we called prior to our arrival, I was getting busy signals… I didn’t even know people could have phone lines without call waiting.

Great hotel! Clean and comfy room. Great breakfast with many options. Modern facility. Friendly service. I would definitely stay here again!

This hotel is outstanding, I changed my reservations around several times leading up to I.S.U’s graduation. There was never a problem helping us .The rooms are very clean and beds are comfortable. Every employee is great. I have never written a review before but felt that this hotel really deserved it.
