Bob Evan’s delivered just what was expected. Clean restaurant. Friendly staff and great service. My server Emily was gracious as could be. Thanks!

This place was awesome. I was expecting a lil Cracker Barrel flare, but this joint is more Baker’s Square. A lot of locations have closed unless they are right off highways. There were some in Plainfield and Naperville, but they closed. So I think these are more travel type stops if they are still open. The prices here are great. Good pancakes, good coffee, and service is pretty solid.

Way back during my travel baseball days, I always remembered driving past Bob Evans. I thought it used to be more prominent in the restaurant industry, but maybe I’m wrong. That being said, I’d never eat there! The only connection I had was eating their Mac N Cheese from the grocery store. My family came on a Sunday afternoon on our way back from STL. The restaurant was busy, but not out of control crowded. We were seated promptly. The service was great! I was surprised how clean the restaurant was, too! The menu is huge… breakfast, lunch, and dinner options are a plenty! I decided on an omelette, fruit, and their new multigrain cakes. Everything was awesome! My family enjoyed their meals(egg dishes with meat and pancakes), too. Cracker Barrel is usually a staple for road travel, but if I had to choose between a CB and BE, I’m going the latter!!!

Out of the two Bob Evan’s restaurants in Bloomington/Normal this one is definitely worth the drive across town. Great service, food was as fast, as most Mexican restaurants(if you’re reading this review you know what I’m talking about). Hands down all around a better Bob Evan’s. If you can’t tell I don’t go to the other location due to poor service and subpar food.

Known for their sausage patties and great breakfasts as well as for an imaginative menu of sandwiches and dinner choices, Bob Evans is one restaurant chain I have come to trust. Nonetheless, I still check the reviews for each restaurant we visit. I read the recent Unilocal reviews for the 2115 W. Market location and arrived with concerns that the service would be a disappointment. The total opposite was true. From our hostess’ prompt greeting to our patient waitress, Marlen, who explained the changes and optional meal choices in the menu, promptly corrected minor kitchen errors with our meals and later attentively cleared plates and refreshed our teas, the service was completely«first rate.» This place earns five stars from me for being as good as «chain» restaurants can be.

Location: near highway Patrons: table of 5 We arrived at 1:15 Sun afternoon, not crowded, no wait, until we sat down! Waited 10 min for anyone to acknowledge us, by this point we ordered food AND drinks. 15 min later one of us flagged down manager to bring our drinks, waitress shows up with our apps. Manager apologizes and asks if we need anything else at that moment, we ask for a glass of water…15 min later we walk up to ask him if we could have it! Waitress comes and says our food should be out soon and small talk and bad jokes are all she offers, NEVER once apologizes. At 2:10 we finally receive food along with the manager offering a discount on the meal. Food was acceptable, but the delays were ridiculous as they were NOT busy.

Seriously bummed that they have discontinued their Bold Roast coffee. I like a stronger coffee and this fit the bill but alas, it’s discontinued. :( My omelet was PERFECT and the hash browns very good. And who can go wrong with blueberry bread — aka cake! Service is always good. Final note on the coffee: no one in town serves GREAT coffee at breakfast. Sad really. And now you have to ASK for half n half at Bob Evans or they will bring you milk.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more cheerful crew working at a restaurant! And I’m not used to this kind of healthy option on the road… fresh tomato slices AND fruit? Raisin, cranberries and pecans for oatmeal. Small multigrain pancakes with fruit and nuts. And an extra pot of hot water for my tea. And an excellent biscuit for him. We were impressed.

How could a Bob Evans burn pancakes? This one did. Service was slow and food was not up to Bob Evans standards. Maybe the chain has been overfranchised. Be skeptical about this one.

So, I’m standing at the front for a couple of minutes and finally get noticed and told to sit anywhere. I sit down and get a water and a menu. Keep in mind that there is only 1 other person in there, sitting at the counter. I’m done looking at the menu and listening to the cook, complaining about something, to the manager. I see the waitress bring food to the person at the counter. She disappears in the back. I see her after a few more minutes, making lemonade and she disappears in the back, again. Did I mention that there was only 1 other person in the restaurant? The manager comes out and talks to the customer at the counter and it’s like I’m invisible. I grab my paper and walk out. If you’re the only person in the restaurant, you may have a good experience. The service industry is falling apart, that’s why I tip so well when I get good service. It’s becoming a lost art…

Food was amazing and our server, Tanner, was also amazing. She was very sweet to my daughter and I and checked on us the perfect amount of times. Loved this experience!

Stopped in on a Saturday early afternoon for breakfast. I got the classic breakfast with 2 pancakes, 2 scrambled eggs, 3 slices of bacon. It was the best bacon I’ve had in forever! So crispy! The eggs were real, needed lots of salt, but ok. Pancakes were cooked well. love getting warm syrup. Best part of my meal was the caramel cappuccino! I’m very picky about cappuccino, I like them sweet. This was perfection. And free refills! The waitress Courtney was very attentive and friendly.

I was hesitant for a long time to eat here due to the stereotype of it being a restaurant for the older crowd. Finally decided to try it out for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The options surprised me and it was actually a very casual, cool atmosphere. The restaurant and the menu seemed to have a very healthy«green» vibe which I liked. Coffee was pricey and so I ordered a cappuccino since it was only about .50 more and free refills and it was very good but a little too sweet for me. I got a skillet and it was more than enough. Overall it was a good breakfast place for an ordinary breakfast. Nothing amazing about it but the prices were decent so I wouldn’t be opposed to going back but not my first choice either.

After driving for 8 hours, I stop at Bob Evans for breakfast. I got in there around 9am on Monday morning, I could sit essentially anywhere I wanted to. The place was all but mine. The waitress was quick to get me a menu and take my beverage request. Then when she returned with my drink she asked if I was ready to order and I started to place it. She almost gave me less than what the menu stated, but hey, maybe she was new — so I pointed out the items on the menu. It wasn’t very long until the meal was ready and served. The food was great, especially compared to the Waffle House(which I ate the previous morning). But the service, come on! I saw the other table’s waitress stop by to her tables a handful of times and I hadn’t seen mine since she dropped off my food. Luckily, everything tasted alright and I didn’t need a refill — but isn’t it standard for the waitress to check on you at least once? I finished my meal relatively quickly in hopes to get back on the road. Some time passed and thought maybe she just didn’t notice. But then the cashier noticed that I was sitting there for a bit and the manager even came over at one point and looked my direction; um, hi! But where was my check? I sat for another several minutes before she suddenly appeared, with a wet check. Why was it wet? I will not be returning to this Bob Evans, but the food was good. Just avoid the service.

Boy, oh boy is this food good! I travel a lot(around 98% of the year, minus about two weeks, in fact) and eat in a lot of restaurants. But the quality found in a Bob Evan’s tends to never vary much from great. This remains true at this location. The staff was flexible and accomodating, though a litle sluggish at the counter. I had a strange long wait(around 12 minutes), but once noticed they were responsive and attentive. I recommend you try this place. Order the Apple Dumpling pie, by the way. Great! CDChicago

What’s up with the 460 in the title? Must be a farm thing. I’m from Chicago so I don’t get it. Regardless… its review time. It’s a chain restaurant so nothing on the menu should be a surprise. They have healthier options but they are few and far between; most items are filled with calories and badness. But if you like that sort of thing you’re in good company. Biscuits & Gravy are your best fattening option. The Mini-Sampler is a good value and just the right amount of food so you don’t leave feeling like the pig that sacrificed itself to be the sausage in your biscuits & gravy.
