I often do take out, I love their thai tea, which has no much difference from thai restaurants’s thai tea, this place has free wifi which good for studying group hanging out, but they don’t have much things to eat, I more prefer Starbucks where you could order sandwiches during study^^

Although this place is good in a pinch, I would say that the only positives are their free wifi, multitude of plugs, and convenient parking. The late open hours make it a decent place to study(I think it is the latest open coffee shop during the school year — midnight?), it is usually pretty loud with many languages being spoken around you, which to me, was pretty distracting. The quality of the drinks and service in general is completely abysmal. When I went in the other day to grab a coffee(because I couldn’t get anywhere else without being late to a meeting), they had a «OUTOFBUBBLETEA» sign over their menu and a «SORRYESPRESSOMACHINEBROKEN» sign on the counter… I asked the person at the cash register… what DO you have? Turns out they had hot coffee, which is what a got. It came out of a sad, stainless steel dispenser that you see in hotel continental breakfasts and was given to me by an employee who looked like he would rather be anywhere else.

I’ve been here a few times before and was expecting to have a three star experience, but apparently this place has gone below average in the past year. To start off with the positives: 1. Free Wi-Fi 2. Free Parking 3. Close to the IU campus 4. Decent place to get some work done & lots of plug-ins for your electronic devices But here are the negatives: 1. My aloe vera drink cost $ 2.50 which felt expensive. 2. The girl who was working behind the counter started to loudly talk about her drama to a male friend. Annoying. 3. The woman’s bathroom stunk and the paper towel roll dispenser was broken. 4. People watching is boring here. I expect at least a functional bathroom to give a place three stars. I won’t be back again.

For the most part I really like coming here to study when I am in this area of campus. It is never too busy and they are open until 11. Staff have always been super friendly and I enjoy the music. Ample outlets and good wifi is a definite plus. So why 3 stars; I still haven’t tried a coffee drink, I’ve only had teas or smoothies(they do have thai and bubble tea!). I wish they had more food items, like sandwiches or even bagels, instead of strictly sweets that seem to be made out of house. Really need to get some art on the walls. And once the ladies restroom obviously needed a cleaning; it wasn’t disgusting and I’ve seen worse but the sink was rather dirty and it was obvious the restroom had been neglected.

I don’t want this to be the ‘it was good until it got busy’ review. But every time I go in now during the school year, it is packed. Good for business, but the minimalist set-up isn’t conducive to being a study place while being super crowded.(Other coffee shops in town are still reasonably quiet while crowded). The coffee/drinks are great. The food options aren’t so great. I also think the super friendly manager/owner left. Having a friendly person behind the counter was a huge reason I kept coming back. Also, some of the seating is great for settling in to a couple hours of studying. But a few of the modern seats get pretty uncomfortable after an hour or two of studying. One plus was the reliable wifi — much better than some other coffee shops.

Pablo’s Ratings Product: 2.5 Décor/Feel:3.5 Service:2 Value:4 Recommendations: For boba tea lovers who don’t want the added calories and sugar of traditional boba powder, just ask for a skim tea latte with bobas and add a bit of sweetener Perks: They provide coffee with quick service– nothing special. Friendly service to customers, but side conversations are questionable. Open until 1AM daily– convenient for students or as a late-night hang out. Downside: Major product supply issues. They are frequently out of the most popular items, such as boba tea flavorings, and if the taro powder DOES by chance happen to be in stock, they are probably out of straws. Aside from this, the large windows make for a very inconvenient temperature. In other words, you sweat like crazy during the summer and freeze your butt off during the winter– not ideal conditions for those who wish to study or work from here for long periods of time. As mentioned in other ratings, the music is awful– inconsistent volume and it sometimes makes you want to slit your wrists(I think this depends on who is working and their music preference). Speaking of the employees, more often than not they can be heard obnoxiously chattering about inappropriate topics for all customers to hear– we would recommend head phones. ** There was a manager who used to work there who changed the entire atmosphere– if he was still there we would have rated Kopi much higher*

mediocre espresso in a bleak, minimalist environment. can anyone please explain to me how a gourmet coffee shop does not have raw sugar available? get with it, Kopi.

I’ve been here twice now and this is my new favorite place to study. First of all, it has giant south-facing windows, so the light is amazing — I’m one of those people that has a hard time dealing with the grey skies in the winter, so light is high on my list of things that make a place awesome. The coffee is good — I’ve had a latte and an Americano here, both excellent, and the one pastry I tried(brownie) was also delicious. They have wifi and many outlets and plenty of tables. I actually debated posting this review because I kind of don’t want more people to know about this place, but at the same time I want Kopi to stay open so I can keep coming here! ** I had to edit my review to include the one downfall of this place: the music is SOBAD! No more smooth jazz please.
