These guys did a GREAT job moving my Yamaha Grand Piano in perfect condition. The layed mats down in the house and took the greatest care. Very polite. Sent a three man team and had all the equipment needed. They are also my go to place for renting grand pianos for special events.

1995 saw my first visit to this establishment. I’ve been a working musician for over 20 years & throughout that time I have sought out all of the music related stores in my area. I stopped in & frequently chatted the two store owners,(a Father & Son team) any chance I would get. No matter how many times I would go to this music store, they didn’t seem to care to remember me as a returning customer. Every visit has been a let down. Senior has no trouble bad mouthing the city or complaining about the daily grind right in front of me, my wife or anyone. A Few years ago, I introduced myself and offered up my services, part-time to help out in their store. I have plenty of experience in retail, music gear and communication skills. I’m not angry he didn’t hire me,(or even call me back) but One star is too high of a rating, considering the disconnect acknowledged every time I have ever stepped foot into this establishment. I asked my wife to give her un-biased opinion even back when we first started dating(2004). We’ve just been waiting for the«right» time to review it, and now Unilocal!can hear us. Speaking of Unilocal!,we needed«only Elixers» on fancy Taylor acoustic guitar. So, finally – the Check-in Offer… Last night, we took Schertz’s MusiCenteR up on their offer: «1 free guitar strings». When I was at the counter about to pay for the strings, I showed Senior my Unilocal!ad his store created. In disbelief, he immediately phoned his son and explained to me that he will need to verify this with«his web guy». Hello? Does he not realize I know he is calling his son to make a decision for him that every competent business owner should be able to make on his own? Son spoke over the phone and explained the deal does not include expensive strings(the ones I needed were almost $ 17). The deal(as explained) was for the«cheap ones»(about $ 3). Owner(Senior) says, «No, sorry – this can be redeemed for THESE strings…» Granted, I didn’t have the«printed copy of my review»,(as requested for the Check-In offer) – however, I eluded to the fact that there will – indeed, be a review written and politely declined the free strings. I paid the full price for the Elixers($ 17 and tax), and we left. Unless you are looking to buy an expensive piano, the owner won’t acknowledge or care. Over 18 years, looking to spend good money – not here. One star, one let-down after another. See my other reviews for some shining, amazing stores, but this is not one of them.

I didn’t have much time to look around here the first time I went in so I will have to write a follow up once I have more time to look around. I do want to write a review though because I hadn’t realized how big this place is. From the street, I thought it was just a piano place. Little did I know, they also sell guitars, bass guitars, etc. and they also rent space for lessons. I talked to two guys here and they were both good people.
