TownePlace Suites

I was in town for a few days on business and truly enjoyed my stay at this property. I had a great experience that began at check-​in and continued throughout my stay,
This property had a perfect bed and a great shower. These are the two things that are most important to me in a hotel.
I visit Bloomington quite a bit. In the future, I will definitely return to Towneplace Suites.

Bumping up my review of this hotel a star after a great experience the last week I was here. It doesn’t change some of the negatives like the older rooms and décor, no weights in the gym, food only on Tuesday in the evening with a weak breakfast each morning.
However, several new updates. They have new beds and my room this time wasn’t as falling apart just a bit old. The location is right next to a bunch of restaurants walking distance, albeit chain restaurants, and they even give you a free app at the Texas Roadhouse. Good location in a quiet spot in town that is still super close to downtown.
The staff is great and goes above and beyond. Things like helping me find a notary open late (and turned out they even have one on staff!), great recommendations for restaurants, keeping the breakfast open later than most, etc. I also like that the gym has TVs on the cardio equipment and pizza on Tuesdays are a nice touch. They make a bunch of batches of cookies throughout the evening as they run out, several types as well. The towne place brand is nice with the studio suites and this has that as well. Including a full stovetop and oven, another nice touch.

One of the few places a family of five can stay in one suite. We stayed in a two bedroom suite on the top floor. The parking lot does not wrap around the back of the hotel, so our room on the back was nice & quiet. The bed was comfortable, though the pillows were cheap. Make your own waffles for breakfast plus enough other items that we stayed in for breakfast. Location not bad, with plenty of retail around and about a 10 minute drive to IU.
Staff were all very nice and helpful, even when shorthanded on Sunday morning. Bloomington motel prices are too high, but TPS no more than anyone else.

Was here for a national conference that lasted thirteen days. This hotel was awesome. The free cookies, the spacius rooms, the comfortable beds and pillows, the ammenities and the staff made this place one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The free manager’s dinner on Tuesday was very nice. The price is more than reasonable and the parking is plentiful. Made the twelve days in cold Bloomington during March very comfortable.
