Homemade soups, tasting before choosing, homemade bread and real butter. The best. Incredibly friendly and informative staff. Got to love it. #zoupenlightened

Well my soup was good(chicken and wild rice medley) but nothing like my lobster bisque. I got mine in a bread bowl which was great but you get less soup and it seems not quite as hot. 2 bread bowls, 3 sandwiches and 1 salad cost $ 50! Everything tasted ok but wow it was a shock to get the total. Soup was good but have made that kind at home better. The sausage rattlesnake soup is a must if you like spice!

I am in town for an event and was recommended this place to try. I like little sandwich places with a healthy option. I ordered a half American Farm salad with balsamic vinaigrette dressing. It’s a pretty good size, I definitely wouldn’t be able to finish the full portion bc I thought the half portion was perfect. I also ordered the half sandwich which was the turkey club. I would probably ask for little to no mayo next time, just bc it tasted a little overpowering. Overall it was yummy. I didn’t try any soup bc it quite warm out and I just couldn’t get myself to eat warm soup on a warm day. It received four stars bc I thought the prices and food offers were a little out of reach, but I would probably still come back.

What struck me most was friendly and engaging the staff is.(Thanks, Rio!). How is this place not more talked about? Great soup selection. They let you sample so you get something you like. Twelve options everyday, so you are sure to find something. I am definitely coming back.

Food is much too expensive for the amount of food given and it isn’t even spectacular. The soups are good, don’t get me wrong… but it’s definitely not worth the price. Half sandwiches are so small it can be eaten in 4 measly bites. Panera is a better choice really. Don’t bother with this place, guarantee this place will not stay in business for long.

Crab bisque meh not creamy more tomatoey. 4 cheese«grilled» sandwich not only kid sized, it isn’t grilled. The bread is pre-marked to look grilled then maximum 2 pieces of cheese put on this bread and it’s over microwaved until hard and chewy. Two bowls soup 2 baby sandwiches. $ 24. What a waste. Should’ve had frozen cheese sticks in my freezer $ 3.00!

I used to go to Zoup! all the time back home in Pennsylvania, and I happened to stumble across this location in Bloomington by mistake. I was super excited! It’s not the best place in the world, but it’s great for lunch when you don’t want something super heavy. They have a lot of soup options each day and let you sample it before you buy a whole bowl. I recommend the split pea soup and the chicken pot pie. I personally don’t think their sandwiches are really that great, I stick with the soup.

Great place for lunch! Tasty soup! Also not too much calories! Like the bread with the soup. Salad does not have too much surprise.

I am not a fan of the knock off concept of a more expensive Panera but won’t ding them on that fact alone. It is a well put together concept and the employees go out of their way to help and be friendly. Unlike other places the employees here would be the reason I come back. I had the pick two and upgraded the Lobster Bisque another size. I can’t remember the sandwhich but it was something chicken and just eh. Sourdough bread was excellent: crisp on the outside fresh and warm in the middle. Water on the side and I am at $ 10 and change. This is where I ding them one star on cost and food quality. The lobster bisque was very good and had large chunks of lobster. They even let you sample the soups before picking which is great. It did not seem made that day fresh but was none the less good. I heard from others they change their soups all the time and had a chicken pot pie one. The sand which just wasn’t memorable and is something I could easily make in panini at home. Overall good experience and they are doing a great job here with employees but a but pricey for the area, quality and in comparison for me. They always seem busy so maybe I am just cheap.

Great tasting soup with a variety of selections. Staff will let you sample any soup and had pretty good suggestions. I felt that the establishment could have been a little cleaner but overall it looked fairly good. I recommend the sandwiches too! Little pricey here but not bad for what you get!

Basically the same concept as Panera, but less exciting. I got a soup and sandwich combo, with grilled cheese and broccoli cheese soup. The soup had a good flavor and I enjoyed it, but the grilled cheese sandwich was almost all bread with 2 – 3 slices of cheese in the middle. The employees were friendly and my food came out before my friends were even finished ordering behind me, so that was nice, but this isn’t a place I’d write home about.

More expensive than Panera. Bread was stale. Soup was bland. Sandwiches are just ok. Not a bad meal, just can’t think of one reason why I would come here again with 2 Paneras within 5 miles.

Zoup! is a chain that is what a high-end Panera Bread would be like if such a thing existed. The sandwiches are very fresh and well prepared. They have something like 100 different soups and serve 12 or so on any given day. The staff is always friendly and they offer(almost beg you) to let you try a sample of any of the soups. I tend to avoid Panera since I feel like the quality is not that great and neither is the service. I saw Zoup! today and made it a point to grab lunch there after running a couple of errands.

So I had the summer veggie soup and a sonoma salad. The flavors were right and well-balanced. I was mostly impressed that they used nice parmesan and a fantastic broth. If I was around more often I’d probably go here weekly.

Tried a couple more soups and they were pretty average as well.

Great soup! Great service! We stopped after finding this establishment while traveling. Not wanting to take the time to stop for a sit down meal, but also tired of the fast food scene. The ability to taste the soups before ordering was a good benefit and also made it a little hard to decide, as all I tasted were delicious. You can order online, but I would suspect this is more helpful to regulars as this tasting option is so helpful due to their many choices available. I talked with the owner Todd, who I could tell right away was proud of his efforts and it showed in our customer experience. A great experience!

I am a huge fan of places I can go to get soup and salad. The problem is when the choices are so very unoriginal. That is not, let me say it again… NOT the case here. My boyfriend and I each went for a try 2 combo. I ordered the corn and crab chowder and a Greek salad, he ordered lobster bisque and the Sonoma salad. We both had ice tea to drink. Everything was fantastic! I agree there is a lot of cup and spoon waste, I don’t see much possible change for that. I appreciated being able to sample without committing to an entire bowl of something I don’t like. I will absolutely return!

I first noticed Zoup! when I went to get my hair cut at Hail the Hair King and thought it might be worth trying sometime. Apparently sometime was yesterday, May 27(a Saturday), probably around 1:30 pm. It is very much the love child of Panera and a million other places like that, but it was good! I feel really conflicted about the other reviews here because it seems like most people had a bad time with waits while ordering and receiving their food, but we didn’t have that problem at all. Did we just get there at precisely the right window, or have they cleaned up their act? Are they just pretty terrible when it comes to being slammed with customers? Are they at their best with a moderate trickle of customers? I suppose that’s up to you to decide. There was a large party in front of us, about eight people(with a few small children), and they all ordered and got their food in what I would consider a reasonable amount of time, about 10 minutes, and we were not long after them. I think it’s great that you can try the soups, especially since I’m the Queen of Order Regret. I wound up getting a half salad/cup of soup combo: the chicken caesar and potato cheddar(with the sourdough bread– which was pretty awesome). My boyfriend ordered the MLT sandwich and we both thoroughly enjoyed our food. He even said he might make a special trip back there for a second try of the sandwich and a go at the lobster bisque. The atmosphere was okay. It was your typical corporate franchise décor with trendy lampshades and dark wood. I suppose it could be considered a little pricey, depending on what you order. We both got water so our combined total came to $ 13 and we were both full, fat & happy with our food, so I’d call that a pretty good deal. If you get the combo, you can upgrade your cup of soup to a bowl for 99 cents, so if you’re ravenous then that’s a good way to go. The lettuce in my salad was super fresh and green, everything was tasty. It got pretty busy after we were done eating but I didn’t notice people waiting an extra long time for their food. It all seemed like it was moving at a normal pace for a place like that. Despite the problems others had, I would recommend checking it out yourself and seeing what you think. We had a delicious experience.

Mind you a 3 means A-Ok. THat is what they are. Things I like: Lots of variety of soups neatly decorated. great parking Things I didn’t like: the abnormal amount of waste… spoons and little cups for EVERY soup you’re going to try. Wow, just wow. the line went right by people trying to eat. It’s a small place, so I can see why, but awkward for both soup wasn’t piping hot… sorry, I like hot the menu was a little difficult to understand –I got the wrong bread,

Tasty soups but pricey. They weren’t overly salty either which was nice. The bill for two of us each ordering a bowl of soup and fountain drink was $ 18! Does everyone know how CHEAP it is to make soup? I cannot again bring myself to pay $ 9 for a bowl of soup and iced tea.
