So far I had a cheesesteak and a chicken cheesesteak. Both were spot on. I do recommend eating them there, they tend to get a little soggy when you let them sit, but they are still great tasting. I will be back for sure to try one of their cold cut subs.

Recent graduate of bloomsburg. Let me start by saying I’ve had every item and it’s all good. I suggest the regular with everything. The homemade oil and hot pepper spread is unreal. They use a splash of mayo which adds to the flavor and helps hold the sandwich together. The husky sub was always my go to after a night of drinking in bloom. The grease really helped the hangover and was a good base for another night of drinking.

Had lunch here for the first time on father’s day. My wife and kids enjoyed it. I ordered a original regular(to get the experience the other reviews have mentioned) it was excellent. My wife had an Italian sub and the kids had a chicken finger basket. No complaints from anyone. Was greeted as soon as we walked in the door and our order was taken promptly and courteously. Food came out as ordered and in a timely manner. Will visit this tasty establishment again.

Customer service is great. I had a turkey sub and I was not disappointed. The bread tastes pretty fresh as well as the lettuce and tomatoes. They also have NY deli potato chips that were a taste that I enjoyed in my childhood and still love now! I will be returning here for lunch at least once more this week while I’m in town for work.

Amazing variety with low prices! Best sub shop in town by far. The ingredients and bread beats Steph’s Subs any day! I have always been impressed with Berrigan’s, and never liked anything I have had from Steph’s. Great Husky subs as well! And it’s quicker. All pluses!

I am a regular to berrigans for years, even under the old owner. They make the standard cold hoagies just like they did 30 years ago, and when i was in the military years ago i would come to berrigans first. I had to get my local bloomsburg flavor that you can not get anywhere else! They also have specialty subs that are just the best. Even though i dont like all of them(just don’t like the ingredients) there are some that are a very unique flavor all their own! It is a small family run business that supports the local economy and has THEBEST subs around!

Great flavor and value. Where else can you get 2 great sandwiches and chips for under $ 10?

Subs are good. Not the best I’ve ever had, but not bad either.

So I’ve eaten here many times in the past 15 years; a destination when I come back to the area from Louisiana. The hoagies are top notch with superb ingredients and fine meats. However, when I went there today to have lunch with my family I encountered a different sub shop. The waitresses, no manager on site, were ruder than normal; definitely not the southern belles I’m used to. The kicker was when we watched the waitress find her way to the back room and, as she ate her lunch, she also put dishes away, moved some food, took a few bites of her sandwich, wiped her mouth with her napkin and WIPEDHERNOSE with her hand!!! Her hand!!! She went back to working and eating lunch and never washed her hands during the entire 10 min I could stand to watch her. Thankfully, I had been done eating and was able to get my leftover half sub wrapped as I promptly exited the building. Usually I would return before going home; this trip may require another trip to stop by Steph’s…the comparable sub shop just a few doors down.

Excellent deal. And great tasting subs. BBQ chicken was excellent. As was grilled chicken and cheese steak. Kids enjoyed them too. Friendly staff. We stopped in while visiting the area for a wedding. Great place.

This place used to be the ultimate sub shop on a street that had several of them. But it has resting on its good name for a couple of years now. They say that they close at 10pm on Friday and Saturday nights(which is early for a college town and in fairness, it’s main competition is only open 30 minutes later) yet the door will be locked at 9:45. What used to be great subs are now just average.

I was feeling this place. My buffalo chicken sub was very good, and I’m picky about my subs, having grown up in South Jersey, the land of hoagies(best sandwich ever) and gone to college in the North Jersey land of subs(still good, but even the best sub will never be as good as a hoagie). I liked my grilled buffalo chicken sub on whole wheat, done up garden style(fresh veggies and oil, skipped the mayo). Hubby, who favors the sub(no one’s perfect), liked his turkey and provolone on whole wheat, but has definitely had better, as have I. You’re just not going to get crusty Italian bread in these parts, and that’s always going to disappoint the crowd that can expound literately on the relative strengths of subs vs. hoagies. But all in all, pretty solid, and you do have lots of options to personalize your sub. They get points for offering hot pepper relish, and for an herb infused oil. I believe you should rate a place based in part on its location. In Jersey, this would be 3stars; in central PA, it’s a solid 4.

Every time I come to Bloom, I have to have one of these subs, on the West Coast you just don’t find subs like that out here(especially since Lenny’s disappeared). Highly recommended.

I originally learned about Berrigan’s from my dad, who used to go there all the time when he was in college. I sadly haven’t had as many chances as I’d like to consume the glory that is a sub from Berrigan’s, but today I happened to be driving through Bloomsburg(yay Knoebels!) and decided to stop in for an Original Regular. Four kinds of cold cuts, provolone, lettuce, tomato, and their signature pepper relish and oil on a 16″ roll for $ 6.50. Hell yeah. Best sub I’ve ever had. I’m a huge fan of Jimmy Johns and Thundercloud(an Austin staple) if that helps at all, and I think this is a superior sub.

Please disregard the review below. This place was delicious! We both got«Husky» subs. I had buffalo chicken, blue cheese, lettuce, and curly fries all in one sub! It was really good. The place is clean and they are very friendly. My boyfriend enjoyed a cheeseburger husky. His had onion rings, hamburger with cheese, deep fried mushrooms. Great for lunch! And if you were drunk, I’m sure it would be even better!

I’ll take a lettuce sub with a side of meat. That’s what I feel like I get at this place. ANDNOAMERICANCHEESE — THISISAMERICA! Not what you would expect from a ‘sub shop’
