The food here was absolutely amazing. I got the pulled pork philly with out the cheese. The service was great and the beer was good. I would definitely recommend this place. The only complaint is the construction with the road going on, but they can’t help that.

We loved this restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was delicious! We went with our server’s suggestions of fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and the ribeye steak/portobello mushroom pasta entrée. Sooooo good!

Excellent! Service always awesome, great drink selection BUT the food is AWESOME. Arrabbiata sauce is fantastic but unlike any other. The soups sound crazy but are always so good! Naan Mi Meatballs and Philly sandwiches are always a go to but we most often get the specials. Highly recommend.

Hands down my number one place to go for a consistent service and food quality! After going to a few places that were just SOSO in Boone and blowing rock I found this gem. Busy both times I’ve gone but helpful staff and decent seating times.

Just flew into Charlotte and we are driving to meet our family in Boone for Thanksgiving. I found this place on Unilocal and once again I’m grateful for Unilocal!Popular with the locals I think and waiting room only but we snuck into the bar. I had to try the fried green tomatoes which were great but caloric I’m sure. My husband loved every bite of his very fresh salmon. Service was friendly and prompt as they handled the crush very well. Maybe we will bring the kids back in a couple days and try some more things iff the menu! Stay tuned!

Everything we ordered was delicious!!! The food was fresh and the portions were just right!
We started w/the Bang Bang Onion Rings– oh so good! It was beer battered! I ordered the Cricket Burger– might be one of the best burgers I’ve had in awhile! My sister ordered the Flounder Flatbread which she enjoyed. It was fresh and well seasoned. My mom had the Turkey Cranberry sandwich that she liked a lot. It was pulled turkey, also seasoned well on buttered toast. My dad had the Catfish Sliders w/an Asian Slaw– flavors were great! Finally my niece had the Grilled Cheese and Fries and a side of Mac n Cheese– no complaints. Also had their homemade chips– good and they have malt vinegar!
Overall a good experience for our first time here! Our waitress, Nikki, was so
nice and helpful too! We will definitely be back and I can’t wait!

While staying in Blowing Rock overnight, Foggy Rock was recommended to us. We tried it for a late take-out lunch. The hostess was very sweet & helpful. Price was decent. I had The Rock (I believe) burger with the veggie patty & fries. My husband had a Philly with jalapeños & he also enjoyed his meal. It was quick & good.

Had the Foggy Rock Philly. It was amazing… great for kids and also had a gluten free menu for my wife. Definitely would come back as there were other things on the menu I would love to try.

Came here for rave reviews and was disappointed. Driving through town and decided to stop.
Pros: great beer selection, hefty wine pour, friendly and attentive staff, great atmosphere.
Cons: both food orders were wrong, fries were cold, and food was mediocre. Both ordered royale with cheese burgers – hoping that was just a mistake.
Would try this place again if we’re ever in town.

We went this weekend before we set out on the Blue Ridge Parkway to see the colors and had lunch at the bar since there was a wait for the dining room. Of course, it’s October in NC so very crowded due to the fall colors on the parkway.
Our bartender/server was very nice and attentive even though she was alone and servicing the entire bar area and drinks for the dining room. We had the turkey cranberry sandwich and a burger. Both were good. It looked like they had a great selection of beer and spirits; however, since we were driving we stuck with sodas. Overall, a nice place to grab a bite to eat. They also own the breakfast place next door.

Great food, not so great service. We were driving by and decided to stop by to watch the game there instead of a chain restaurant. Food was surprisingly very good but the bartender just wasn’t very friendly. There was only a couple of people at the bar and I literally had to wave her down to get her attention for anything. I’m a pretty laid back person but this girl just didn’t care to tend to us at all. I’d rather go somewhere else where my business is more appreciated.

Tasty!
We only ate at Foggy Rock once, and as chicken wings lovers, of course we tried their chicken wings. We were not disappointed. Also the sweet potatoes fries were great.
Restaurant is conveniently located near by Chatola Resort and even with icy roads in February, it was not a problem to get there. Ambiance is very pleasant. They seem to be busy at night, but a reservation was not required. We were seated and served right away. We cannot wait to go back and try something new.

Of all the local area (Blowing Rock) restaurants, this place has been the best all around. The walls are overlaid with old wood plank boards and the ceiling is overlaid with old time metal roofing. The lighting is soft and the furniture is basic padded booths lined against the walls with a few large tables with chairs in the middle. And it offers a bar area separate from the dining area. Nicely laid out.
The food is excellent! The turkey cranberry sandwich was really great and like many of the local restaurants the default side is their homemade pub chips which many (this place included) charges extra for fries). The «Trout Trout Trout» was also great with my fav of the 3 types being the blackened style.
The server was very attentive and friendly and really seemed to like his job as he was almost excited to tell us his fav menu items.
This place is highly recommended!

Foggy Rock is not «fine dining.» It’s not a greasy spoon. It does offer excellent, beyond dependable, basics with special twists. Additionally, their specials are truly that.
Living in Blowing Rock, I have eaten here many time and have never been disappointed. Service is friendly. The new décor is welcomed. One piece of advice: Avoid the rear-most, left-side table. It is under an HVAC vent and can be annoyingly uncomfortable.

This restaurant is really good and kid friendly. Lots of variation in the menu. It isn’t within walking distance from the Main St. area of Blowing Rock but its a short drive.
The peach marmalade and whipped cheese cream spread was an amazing appetizer (almost a dessert).
