We went to Truva last Sunday night and found an empty restaurant. We ordered three course specials and were quite impressed. My salad was super fresh and very tasty. The kabobs we ordered(lam and chicken) were simply wonderful– tender, juicy and flavorful. The rice pudding was outstanding as well. We chatted with the owner after who was friendly and knowledgeable as a chef himself. A great surprise for us as a out-of-town visitors and I’d highly recommend this hidden jewel to everyone!

Went to the restaurant for the first time based on the great reviews on here. It was difficult to find as it was«hidden» in a strip mall. The food was fantastic. I was served pita with hummus and olive oil to start. Fantastic! I ordered what the server recommended and it was fabulous. This restaurant is a hidden gem. I will be back!

Truva is a gem in Blue Ash. The Mediterranean food and hot tea do not disappoint! Try the lentil soup and chicken soup. They’re open seven days a week.

Moved here from So Cal and have been on the search for interesting and diverse culinary experiences/food. Did a Unilocal search and found this amazing restaurant. The food is delish! Everything. The babaganoush, hummus are wonderful and everything is made from fresh ingredients. I had the Iskender kabob, husband had chicken kabob and both were cooked perfectly and delicious. This will be our go to Mediterranean/Turkish restaurant. Happy we found it. They are super nice too.

Love Mediterranean food? You’ll love yourself for satisfying your craving at Truva! I ordered the chicken kebab, which was a great choice — the chicken was tender and flavorful, served with(what I think was) tzatziki sauce, as well as savory sauteed vegetables. The portions are quite generous, so I was stuffed after polishing my plate. The pita bread is served warm, to be eaten with a tomato-y olive oil concoction. Next time I’m craving Mediterranean food(aka tomorrow), I know where I’m going to get it!

Wonderful dinner! We had the appetizer sample platter. Every thing on the plate was fresh and flavorful: Lebne, Hummus, Stuffed grape leaves, Baba Ghanoush, Tabbouleh, Acili Ezme and olives served with warm pita bread. Our entrée was tilapia with mushrooms, and veggies in a cream sauce along with rice and salad. We also had two of the Turkish desserts: Rice pudding and Almond pudding. Toga and Kelly the owners are extremely friendly and personable. They have really turned this reservation into a hidden gem.

Wow, stopped in a for quick lunch and had, hands down, the best Baba Ganoush I’ve ever had!!! Smokey, with just the right consistency. To go along with this amazing appetizer, they serve the MOST amazing pita. The chicken kabobs were perfectly cooked. Gyro was just above average. We will definitely be making this one of our regular restaurants.

We had three-main-course here for only 15 per person. The main entry came out with a lunch size, very tasty and looked good, but might not be enough if you are hungry. Appetizers, Turkish tea and slat yogurt were good as well. Overall, it is a pretty nice place.

Truva Café is to Turkish food as Donald Trump is to orange skin. They own that space! Appetizers were amazing, especially the Avila Ezme… Seriously delicious. I got the mixed grill and couldn’t even finish it. So much excellent food… And with great service. Total was only $ 90 including wine and appetizers. Run, don’t walk, to Truva’s!!!

As others have noted, under new management as the old owners moved down to open a restaurant in Hyde Park. A young couple who had been running a similar restaurant up in Columbus bought the place and have now had time to put their stamp on what remains largely the old menu– they didn’t try to change much as my guess is they were trying to retain the old clientele. That’s a good thing… we really liked the old place and were sorry to see it go, but… The new owners have done a really fine job, freshening the menu and changing things just a bit. Everyone has their own recipes, and we’ve grown to like this place even more than before. No bad dishes and we’ve tried just about everything. The food is delicious although you may not LIKE everything, I give kudos to the owners for placing them on the menu: the ingredients are fresh and prepared with care. The staff and particularly the owners really care about providing a wonderful experience for their customers. When something goes wrong– and we’ve eaten there enough to experience that, they make it right, and then some. Don’t be put off by the strip mall venue: the food and service are both first rate. Blue Ash is lucky to have such a place. Lunch will be in the $ 11 – 30 range while dinner, with tip, could head into the $ 30 – 50 territory, depending upon liquor and number of courses ordered. We haven’t tried the brunch yet but will try to get there some Sunday soon.

Very good dinner last night. New ownership in the past 7 months. Food is more flavorful than before and very fresh. Staff is very friendly. Kelly our server was great. Combo appetizer for 2 was a wonderful sampling of many delicious appetizers. Salad was fresh and crisp, with a lite yet flavorful dressing of oil and lemon. Iskender was fresh and flavorful. Doner was perfectly cooked, juicy with bursting flavor. I wished there was more meat on the plate, especially for a dinner portion. We will definitely be back!

I had a thoroughly enjoyable meal here in all regards. I had the falafel appetizer and the chicken shishkabob. The meal also came with warm, pita bread(or was it naan?) that was absolutely delicious and came with a oil based dipping sauce. The chicken was tender and came with a sauce that complimented it. The chicken was tender, though I do wish they had pounded it a bit first, but I understand they want to put it on a skewer… excellent service as well. A nice place.

What a turn around from the former operation. First off the pita is grilled before coming out. The hummus had an awesome silky texture. The kabobs were amazing. Great experience and very happy th have in the hood.

I’m still a little confused as to whether this is Café Mediterranean or a completely different place, because the menus all said«Café Mediterranean.» I ate here one night with my mom and we both ordered the falafel plate. It was a huge portion, but the falafel had been overfried making it too crunchy and not very good. The pita, however, was excellent and I really would have been happy with just some pita and hummus. The service was good, but it did take a while for food to come out in a not very busy restaurant. The couple of times I ate at Café Mediterranean, it was still over on Beechmont. Whether this place is new or the same, the food as okay and I would probably go back… but I might just stick to the pita and hummus.

I was in the area and gave Truva a try. I was impressed. From the pita bread with dried tomato olive oil to the chicken kabobs, everything was full of flavor. The kabobs were ~8 big cubes of chicken, rice and green beans. It was a lot of food. For the chicken kabobs and iced tea my bill was $ 20. A little pricier than i would have liked but it was very tasty. Service was a tad slow when waiting for my bill, but i took it as they were not wanting to be rude and wanted to make sure I was done. I would go back if I was back in the area.

Colleagues and I found this place about a month ago. We’ve been back 3 times and it is ALWAYS fantastic. The food, the Turkish wine, the Turkish coffee, all the things are always amazing. Kelly and Tolga are fantastic. They care about their customers and their food quality and the experience of dining here. If you haven’t eaten here, do it. Immediately.

Stopped in for a light lunch. Got off to a slow start but readjusted. I was served a warm fluffy bread and a tomato in oil dipping sauce with rosemary and other spices. I was worried it was spicy but it was not.. I ordered a cup of red lentil soup. It came in a bowl! I fear the size portion of the bowl. :) it was hot, puréed and flavorful. But I added some salt. The Greek salad was refreshing. It had romaine lettuce, carrots, green olives, artichokes, pickles, tomatoes, a grape leave, peppencini, and grated cheese on top. The grape leaves in the salad were unforgettable– they had cinnamon and other spices. I had to compliant the chef via the waiter– and learned they are brothers. The atmosphere is conducive to a business or pleasure lunch. Tables are far apart. Music is loud enough to add culture but not so loud to inhibit conversation. The check arrived in a treasure chest– nice touch. The whole bill was about $ 13– not bad. This is probably 4.5 stars but I am going for 5 stars because it is family run. I will be back; I want to try the kabobs!

This unassuming restaurant is in a strip mall so we would never have found it without Unilocal. But we are so glad we did! Friendly, gracious, efficient, and excellent food. First we were served the most fresh warm pita with a spicy olive oil. Then for an appetizer we tried the lebne, a thick yoghurt with walnuts and spices which made a nice spread with the spicy accent. For main courses I had the falafel plate and my husband the grape leaves stuffed with salmon. Both were nicely presented and tasty. This feels like the real deal, a family run Turkish restaurant with a nice ambience and tasty food.

Outstanding food with great flavor! Baba ganoush and grape leaves will leave you wanting more. The service is excellent. Our server, Kelly, is very friendly and helpful in making suggestions. This restaurant has new owners who bring their own recipes. It’s the REALDEAL if you like Turkish Mediterranean. BTW… I was a frequent customer at the previous restaurant and Truva Café is far superior in taste and flavor. Must try for you will not be disappointed. I will definitely be back sooner than later. Enjoy good eats here!

I’ve been to N Cyprus and Istanbul — and love Turkish food. This is by far the best I’ve had in Cincinnati. Had the lamb shank special — great value and very tender. Appetizers were great as well, love the dipping oil with the pita. I will absolutely come back!

This place is under new ownership and very cute! The family is super friendly and takes their food seriously. I was really impressed with the variety and flavors available in their vegetarian options. This place tends a bit more towards Turkish food than some of the other mediterranean places in Cincy. It’s definitely worth the trip.

We tried this for the first time. Very warm welcome with attentive service. Started with the combo plate with could be a meal in itself. We actually split the Combo meal also with lamb beef and chicken. Everything was perfect! Next time in the neighborhood we will be back!

My spouse and I are always looking for great Turkish food, and we came to try this place out with new ownership, and WOW. Authentic and incredible Turkish cuisine, and definite competitor for other establishments in Cincinnati. The authenticity of this establishment is created through the ambiance and staff’s friendliness– makes me feel like I’m back in Turkey! We spent time talking with the new owners and our waiter, everyone was very personable and kind. Our meal was absolutely delicious(iskender and adana kebap) and we took our desserts home– baklava was fantastic! Will be coming back often!

Under new ownership this place hit it out of the ballpark! We tried the combo for two appetizer which was a plate full of flavor. We also split an order of borek, which was rolled(a way I never saw it prepared before) — it was light and flavorful. My husband got the lamb shank & I got the chicken kabob — both entrees were savory and prepared well. We finished the meal with Turkish coffee and baklava — complete with our fortune told! We came with our one year old and they were accommodating and inviting! Highly recommend.

We had the most amazing meal tonight at a new restaurant in Blue Ash. I wish we could give it more than 5 stars! While the menu was inherited, it had a new spin and a darling new couple at the helm. The food was authentic, incredibly fresh, and super healthy. I highly recommend the salmon stuffed grape leaves. Fabulous!!! We will be back.
