Probably our favorite location for Mios. Their deep dish is really unique but their thinner more traditional crust is good too! We always get their cheese garlic bread for an appetizer. it’s always made perfectly. This location has a pretty sweet outdoor area to sit in. and everyone that works here is pleasant and does their job well.

I am a huge fan of Chicago Style pizza. I was lucky enough to find the these guys on Unilocal.I first tried to ½ and ½ option of the all Meats and half feta and mushroom and spinach pizza. I was impressed. I some how ordered it un cut. So it was a real combo and didn’t know the type till you ate it. But the pie was amazing. They said give them an hour and they were there in thirty minutes so winner winner. The keep you on file so the second time I order there I am. And this time I go straight feta mushroom spinach. It came cut so easier but still amazing. It’s not easy to find real Chicago style but these guys got it dialed.

Mio’s Pizza is likely your best — and possibly only — option for stuffed Chicago-style pizza around Cincinnati with Chi-natti’s being closed. Despite the lack of competition, Mio’s stuffed pizza offering is pretty good, and their original crust pizzas aren’t too shabby either. I tried extra cheese on their original crust, and I enjoyed the generous amount golden brown cheese. I ordered my stuffed pizza with sausage on one half and pepperoni on the other. The Italian sausage had great spice to it and was my favorite part of the pizza. The thick sauce with chunks of tomato was my second favorite part. The sauce was more easily tasted on the half with pepperoni, because the pepperoni didn’t hit my taste buds quite as hard as the sausage. The crust was okay, but I wouldn’t say there was anything too special about it. It doesn’t match the taste of the crust of stuffed pizzas in Chicago, but perhaps that is because of the different water. My stuffed pizza obviously had the same good cheese as my original crust, but the great flavors of the sausage and sauce made it less important on this pizza. I took advantage of Mio’s delivery, but they have several dine-in locations around Cincinnati in Ohio and Kentucky. While their stuffed pizza isn’t quite on par with what you can get in Chicago, if you are from the Cincinnati-area and have a craving for it in between trips to Skyline Chili, then Mio’s Pizza is the place for you.

My first visit to Mio’s pizza in Cincinnati, yes I’ve lived here for over 10 years, but never had the opportunity to check one out until now, when a friend had birthday party at Blue Ash location last night. Great craft beer selection — one of my faves Blank Slate Opera Cream Stout was on draft mmm good, as well as several MadTree selections — Rubus, Thundersnow, Rhinegeist Truth, plus any bar with a Great Lakes Nosferatu sign is a good sign in my book. We were in their party room, where we had a group of 10, we had a selection of appetizers — toasted ravioli, buffalo saratoga chips with buffalo sauce & blue cheese, then we had a selection of pizzas — several personal, one garlic crust and Chicago style pie. We had quick efficient service for our party.

Great find! We had a few minutes before a pedi spot at Ohio Nails next door, went in for a quick to-go lunch. The restaurant is über-clean, great atmosphere, and has great American casual cuisine. They have a WONDERFUL Gluten free menu – pizza, wings, pasta, even subs!!! The food was great & so was the service. Nice back patio, too.

Surprisingly, some of the best local pizza we have had in the Dayton/Cincinnati area. Now it’s not the most amazing stuffed pizza I’ve ever had in my life, but still worthwhile and very good for the area. The garlic cheese bread, on the other hand, didn’t blow us away, but the service was good, the ambiance decent and surprisingly intimate(but maybe we just went at a slow time), and plenty of parking.

Came here for a Daddy/Daughter date and it was perfect. As a former resident of Chicago I know what authentic deep dish should be like. This is the best I’ve had in the Cincinnati area. (After dinner we went a nice walk in the square. Finished it off with a trip to UDF for a very pleasant evening.)

Great pizza, great location, great price. Always a good experience and a great place for bringing the little ones. Blue Ash location is great for dinner because the area isn’t very busy after 5pm and seats are always available.

This place is as good as it gets. They use fresh dough which is the sign of a place that cares about their product. The homemade chili(owners wife makes it) was awesome. I took my mother there for lunch and we both had the best meal. We will be going back regularly.

We had tried Mio’s at one of their other locations, and my husband was a huge fan, so he suggested we stop here when we were in the area. It was about 4PM on a Saturday, and there was absolutely no one there. A couple of other diners arrived near the end of our meal, but it was very quiet for most of the time. We ordered a stuffed pizza with mushrooms. Since these can take a while, I ordered a Cosmopolitan while I waited after spotting it on their specialty drinks menu. From the sound of the staff conversations, no one was quite sure how to make this drink, so the drink I was served wasn’t the tastiest thing ever but it wasn’t awful. The pizza was tasty though!

With Chi-Natti pizza now gone, I decided to look for another local pizzeria that had some sort of classic deep dish pizza on their menu Utilizing the internet, I found that the new Mio’s Pizza that recently opened on Kenwood Road in the space where the Cactus Pear restaurant had been, offered a «stuffed» pizza, that looked to be about the equivalent. I went to their web site, and decided on a large(13″) Windy City Classic”, with Italian Sausage, Onions, Bell Peppers, and three kinds of Cheese, for $ 22.99. I also ordered a large Cheese Garlic Bread, for $ 5.79. There was a coupon on the web that took $ 5.00 off of any order over $ 25.00, so I got to use that here. Some of the Mio’s locations offer on-line ordering, but the Blue Ash store currently does not. I had decided on delivery, it is shown as being available at the bottom of the Blue Ash Store information page, so I called. When I said«for delivery», I was told that it is not offered there yet, but it may be in October. «OK then, for pick-up». The gentleman on the phone was extremely courteous and helpful. I was told it would be ready in «20 or 25 minutes». Exactly 25 minutes later, I walked into the store. The young lady working the hostess stand found my order, and took my cash. As she was handing me my change, a young man popped out of the kitchen with my order. Perfect timing. No wait or cool down time. I live less than a mile from Mio’s, so there was no delay from their kitchen to mine. Let me say that I had high hopes for this restaurant, as a number of my co-workers had spoken well of Mio’s. To say I was disappointed is to put it mildly. The pizza itself was nowhere near what you would describe as hot. Rather warm around the edges maybe, but rather cool in the center. Remember, this was only four or five minutes from when I was handed the pizza. While the crust was rather nice, crisp and a medium thickness, the large wedge of cheese in the center was not melted, at least not in the oozing cheese sense that one expects on or in a pizza. It had the consistency of firm string cheese. Immediately after setting a slice on a plate, a puddle of water unappetizingly oozed from the sauce(see the accompanying picture). The sauce itself had flavor, but once again, not what I was expecting. I guess I expected some basil or oregano notes in the sauce, but none of that came through. It was more like a simple tomato sauce. I barely noticed any onions or peppers mixed in, but the Italian sausage, though meager, was very good. The whole mess was extremely salty, almost inedible. While I felt disappointed by the pizza, I felt robbed by the Garlic Cheese Bread. Basically a soft, roughly 8″ Italian roll split lengthwise, then cut into thirds. Well-buttered, with a slight hint of garlic, and almost no cheese. Miles below any competitors version of Garlic Cheese Bread. I am used to pulling it apart with gooey cheese filaments stretching from the pieces. Not here. If I wouldn’t have ordered it myself, I wouldn’t have known there was any cheese on there at all(see the accompanying photo). And for almost $ 6.00? I felt robbed. Just one little buttered roll like this for half the price would still be a culinary crime. A small container of the same bland tomato sauce was provided for dipping. So: No delivery, as stated on the website; good customer service on the phone and in person; poor food. Is this the recipe for a return? No, not really. At least not for«Stuffed Pizza» or their breads. Maybe I would try a regular pizza in the future, but only if someone else is buying. How much do I love pizza? Well, like most people, I adore it cold or reheated the next day. There isn’t much pizza out there that I don’t like. This one? I had two pieces the first night. The next day, I tried to get through another piece and couldn’t. While the cheese was nicely melted this time(thanks to the microwave), the high salt content made it inedible on day two. So I threw out 75% of a $ 23.00 pizza. I think for me, that’s a first. Two stars only because the staff were so pleasant. But — Sorry Mio’s, that’s not«Amore» for me.

A cut above the typical pizzeria. Nice bar, comfortable dining area, friendly service and most important — delicious pizza.

Guess what?! The Cactus Pear is gone! Yep, I didn’t realize it either. But Mio’s moved in to that spot. An Italian place is a nice addition to the Blue Ash area. Which recently seems to be overrun with sub places. New options are always good! The location has plenty of parking in front and on the side. Inside there is a dine-in area that is separate from the bar area. There is also an outside patio in the back with a few tables as well. Overall it has an upscale feel to it with clean lines and white on dark colors. The wait staff is friendly, like, hey let’s discuss our families and other personal info, kind of friendly. A little over-the-top for me, but better than indifference. They are very attentive and I never had an empty drink or dishes cluttering the table. Just tone it down a little, ok? The issue I have with the service isn’t even the servers fault. They use tablets for putting in orders, and I don’t think they’ve figured out how to seamlessly integrate them into their process. They end up asking me the same questions twice, because they don’t enter my order in the tablet while I’m telling it to them the first time. I’m sure it will get better, and I completely blame the tech and the teaching and not the servers. Give ‘em a break on that! Lunch specials are great! Drink, salad(or soup), and entrée are all included for $ 7-$ 9. Their personal pizzas are a good size and their noodle dishes are a little too much, but both are good. Cherry Coke is on tap, which is always a huge plus for me! I’m happy to be able to add it to my rotation for lunch in Blue Ash!

I am giving this place a bit of a pass because they are new and might have some training issues to work out. The Pizza: Sausage is delightfully seasoned and comes in large chunks. Delicious. Crust was flakey and buttery. Quite possibly the best stuffed pizza option in cinci. It did not take 45 minutes to bake like most authentic Chicago style stuffed pizzas. Whatever magic or par baking they used to cut 25 minutes off the bake time, I am ok with. After all this is not winter in the windy city, and we might actually want to go back outside at some point in the day… Sandwiches: The steak and mushroom hoagie was pretty deliciously seasoned compared to many of the bland competitors in the city. The meatball sandwich had the delicious sausage on it, but seemed under sauced. The bread was good and it was still quite yummy. Beverages: There is a large selection of beers on tap. They also had a wine tasting night when we were there. I got the 3 flights of wine for $ 10. Pretty cool to be doing events like that. The Atmosphere: For being blue ash, they really pulled off a nice urban bar and restaurant kind of vibe. Felt like a great place to hang out and spend a while for dinner. Nit picking: I found out about this location because it was served at a meeting. They had a bad customer service experience where they did not remember to make an order that was placed ahead of time, and were completely unapologetic. Whatever, shrugged that off and went anyways. When we went, we had a group of 5 and tried to use 2 coupons and pay separately. The coupons did not specify any conditions like that, and many places would have made it work. Also the waitress did not even put in the coupon that would have been the highest dollar amount for our order. The waitress had problems with their fancy ipad based pos system and had to revert to paper to get the order in. I did not take these concerns into consideration in rating this establishment because I chalk it up to being new systems and learning experiences rather than systematic failures.
