Went here roughly a week ago for their JT fest, and while the atmosphere, music and service was good, the food was less than to be desired. For my app I ordered the baked clams, on the dish came 3 schmedium (small/medium) clams and some roughage that looks like it was picked from a vacant lot in Brentwood. Not worth $ 10 at all and very disappointing. For my entrée I had the lobster mac n cheese, although the mac n cheese wasnt terrible there was hardly any lobster in the dish. And for $ 23, again not worth the money at all. There is more seafood on a filet o’ fish sandwich than in this dish. I will continue to have cocktails here but eating here a different story.

JT’s on the bay. Really more like JT’s off the bay, this spot is local, fun, down to earth… although the prices are a bit out of this world, astronomical; especially for what you get. Upon reading the menu you get pretty damn excited, however the execution of said dishes, sometimes make you think you’re the one being executed.
Nothing there is amazing, however there are good bites to take and a good staff, relaxing environment, and a mixed crowd.

Had lunch here last week and loved every bite!
We sat outside right on the water, had a nice breeze, the sunshine and watched the boats come in and out.
Got the Crab Cobb salad and it was awesome! Got a couple appetizers which were both just as good. Seafood is fresh and everything was cooked perfect. (Lobster Mac&Cheese is a must order)
Best Bloody Mary I have ever had, hands down! It’s incredible even if you don’t normally like Bloody Mary’s you will like this one!
I defiantly recommend it and I will defiantly be back!

Get the WINGS! I kno it’s a seafood place but if u like crispy wings you will like jt’s! Can’t give it 5 stars only bc one time I got a burger here and it was bland as hell. also was disappointed in crab cake but hey I’ve come to know this as a casual laid back seafood joint with pretty good prices for a seafood place and the view n location r great! Only go during day so idk what’s up w valet but if u go during the day you’ll have no problem (unless it’s July 4 or something)

I’d give zero stars if I was able to on the Unilocal rating. I heard JT’s was good and ppl in our party have eaten there before but let me tell you they are LACKING in customer service.
We arrived at 7pm with 2 kids, which we brought to the hostess attention. We were told the wait time was 45minutes to 1 hour. Well… 1& ½ hours later we approached the hostess stand checking on our table and they said 4 tables were ahead of us. When we said that the kids in our party were hungry they said w/an attitude «well you can order from the bar!» Who wants their children eating at a bar???
Where is the customer service? The hostess’s should at least have come around telling their customers that they were running behind on the timeframe originally presented. 2 hrs & 15 minutes later we left & with our starving bellies went to eat elsewhere. The hostess’s should have kept us in the loop. Party Foul on JT’s. We will NOT be returning.

Went here last Friday night and it was very busy, they advised 40 — 45 minute wait for a party of 2 about 8:30 pm. They took my name and assured us they would find us. Went to the bar and it took 15 minutes to get acknowledged by a bartender, which was annoying. After we got our drinks, we went and sat on a little patio right off the bar and sat at a table.
By 9:45 we still were not seated and went to ask and the hostess said «oh we’ve been looking for you». They really need a better seating system.
The food was good, nothing out of this world. We had steamers to start which were good. I had a tandoori grilled shrimp special on top of coconut and pineapple rice. The shrimp were delicious, the rice was like wallpaper glue.
The ambiance was great, outdoor seating, live music playing. Our waitress was also excellent.
I would probably go back but only if somebody else really wanted to go.

Not a fan… Been hearing from locals in Bayport that I should check this place out. For years I never bothered. till this evening. It started off ok. Baked clams were decent. Frozen cocktails were average. My 2^nd drink (watermelon margarita) was really small given the price. And it wasn’t that great.
For entrees we tried the fried shrimp and combo fried platter. Shrimp tasted off and alittle fishy. My wife couldn’t eat more then 2. The batter fry they do isn’t the greatest. Came out very thick to the point where there was almost more batter per shrimp, then meat. I must admit I prefer fish fry or breaded over batter. Most of each entrée went back to the garbage. I guess that’s common cause we weren’t even asked if we wanted to wrap what was left off either plate.
$ 90 for a meal that sent me down the block to buy a Philly cheesesteak is unacceptable.

Great drinks-shark attack and margaritas. Coconut shrimp was AWESOME. fish (of the classic fish and chips) was gross. A complete waste.
Atmosphere was perfect. We sat outside on the water and watched boats go by. Servers were very nice and accommodation.

Was taken here for the first time the other night and had such a great time. To start, the valet guys were great. I drive a very LARGE vehicle and they were very accommodating.
It was a crowded Friday night in July and the hostess gave us a wait time of 30 minutes so we grabbed beers and sat on the dock to chit chat and pass the time. She came and found us within 10 or 15 minutes and sat us right on the water. There was live music, which was very nice. We ordered a couple of appetizers — baked clams (very good) and coconut shrimp (good) — and drinks. I got the Bloody Mary, which was outstanding (I’ve been craving one for months) and was garnished with a slice of pickle, salty, briny olives and a huge shrimp cocktail.

JT’s is a great low key on the water joint. If you have a boat you can tie up and enjoy a dock side dinner. The view is south facing the great South Bay.
Flip flops, shorts and t shirts are the standard attire. Plastic tables and chairs make up the patio.
They are closed in the winter so jump in your boat, your jeep, grab your flops and enjoy a quality meal bay side!

I’ve been going to JTs for around a decade and they always deliver a great meal. Value for money is great here. Atmosphere is amazing. Small deck area connected to a quite small friendly bar on a river connected to the bay. Great choice from the bar and the menu.
I have heard great things about the seafood here. I opted for the 8oz burger with all toppings add avacado. It was amazing. See photos.
I went there on my boat. Free docking along side. Watch the slips, they can become very shallow at low tide.
Overall, love the food, atmosphere and location. I will continue to dine here for many years to come.

Best Bloody Mary I’ve had in a long time! First time there on Mother’s Day. Valet guy was awesome! We went in to the bar and then sat outside. The service outside was just okay. I chalked it up to young wait staff that probably doesn’t dine out enough to know. Loved the environment, the specials written on a paper plate and the laid back atmosphere. I asked for a water with lemon and never got it. She did recommend the Clams Caliente which made up for it, they were pretty good! Not a fan of being asked for gratuity in cash due to credit card fees but hey, if you don’t ask you won’t ever know. I will go back and try out some other dishes that looked great coming out of the kitchen! This place is about a great summer location! Live music starting soon too which could be good or bad depending on how packed they get.
