Doesn’t get any better than this. Fresh and made to order… It’s on our weekly lunch rotation!

California style Mexican-American food. The owner actually lived in California for several years and it is definitely expressed in the menu. A variety of menu items from tacos, burritos, salads, and quesadillas. The menu is well rounded to please anyone from a vegetarian, the die hard meat eaters, and even the local pallet with fried oyster tacos and burritos. There’s also a fresh salsa bar with cilantro, limes, salsa verde/rojo, pico de gallo, etc. I’d go again. Not bad for, South Carolina.

Another must stop place for lunch when we are in a hilton head. Fresh and tasty, oyster or fish tacos and burritos are my favorites.

The fish tacos are by far the best i’ve had since moving to Bluffton. The serving sizes are generous, the food is fantastic and the owner, Andrew makes everyone feel right at home. Amigo’s is the ultimate lunch spot in Bluffton.

I really like the California take on Mexican that you get at Amigos. The Baja fish tacos are absolutely wonderful as well as the barbeque chicken salad. You would not think the salad would be so good but it is! Really, it is worth a special trip. I am not a huge fan of Mexican food but I love Amigos. I notice many locals come here as well. Prices are reasonalbe. I go to either location every time I am in Hilton Head/Bluffton

This place rocked my socks for Mexican in the south! The owner spent time in CA(which is where I’m from and the marker as to which I judge all Mexican food). Salsa was fresh and has great flavor. I got the carne asada burrito which was huge and very tasty. I added cilantro and pico de gallo just cause that’s my preference. But it was good without. Margarita was strong and delicious! The place was festive and clean. I’d go back again next time I’m in the area, for sure!

I asked for a chicken Fajita salad, not technically on the menu board, items are separate, but the owner gladly had it made. Delicious meals are always had @Amigos! Thanks again,

Inconceivable! We order Amigo’s every now and then when we feel the itch. Been going there for 8 years at least. This is not authentic Mexican, but more of a TexMex mess… perfectly tolerable with some cold beers after the beach. However, today when paying for take-out, the OWNER dropped my $ 5.35 change straight into the tip jar instead of handing it to me! WTFFFF… this is the owner tipping himself $ 5.35 on a takeout order of $ 34…with my money! Get a clue… Never again!

First thing; everyone has a favorite Mexican rest in there home town. They are all different. I am not from Hilton Head. First thing you place your order then pay for it before getting your food.(Like McDonald’s?) Anyway like everywhere else on Hilton head this place is way over priced. My hometown mex place my family can eat for $ 20-$ 25. This place cost $ 40! Our food was served on PAPERPLATES. We ate with PLASTIC forks and knives. The burrito I had was largely mediocre at best. The grease soaked into my paper plate. When I cut it with a knife the paper plate was cut as well. The best thing about this place is you pay upfront and drinks are self serve so there is no need to tip the staff.

I was not impressed with this place or the food! It’s an American style Mexican taco shop. No where near the authentic food they claim. As a Mexican/American I say no mas! The burritos are killer, but they lack True Mexican flavor, and are so over stuffed that they should just put the filling on a plate, and serve them with tortillas on the side. I prefer Moes over this place, and I dont like Moes. It has it’s regulars, but not one time have I ever seen a Mexican enter or leave this place. It’s a tourist trap, and a locals only place for those afraid to try Coronas Tacos or other true taco shops located in Bluffton or the Island.

BI can’t e happier I found this place. We all had dinner here one night the night before a friend’s wedding, and ended up going back before leaving HHI/blufton. Andrew, the owner, makes it what it is, and the food is spectacular! Must haves: Burritos are amazing, and gigantic. BBQ salad, it’s the famous one! Quesadilla’s are sooooo good. Get chicken with vegis too. Amazing. Speciality tacos are very well made. Guac, guac, guac!!! Thanks Andrew for everything.

So here’s the deal — the place is cute and small, staff is friendly and helpful. Seems they get tons of regulars and I totally dig that. However, the BBQ chicken salad was recommended and so were the burritos. So we ordered the salad and carnitas(pork) burrito with everything in it. I had super HIGH expectations for the salad so maybe this is why I am saying this — it was just ok. I sort of enjoyed it but I would not order it again. Plus, I think the burrito was missing items in it like the sour cream because it was SUPER dry. Once we got some extra sour cream it tasted a bit better. The chips and salsa were good though :/We will probably give this place another try to order something else. Made me think… I wish we had a Tiauana Flats in Bluffton!!!

Wow. Seriously, wow. I worked in the same shopping center years ago. We used to grab lunch there all the time. Killer burritos are indeed, killer. My go-to is the Barbecue Chicken Salad, though. I have been craving this thing for ages. I’ve even tried to recreate in on occassion, but it never gets as good as the original. I was back in Bluffton this week and had to go back and give it a shot. But I must say, SEVENYEARS after I left, I was only cautiously optimistic that it would be as good as before. Well, they did not disappoint. I’m telling you, this thing tasted exactly the same as I remember from all those years ago. Too many restaurants have trouble recreating the same consistent dish in one week, let alone seven years. This is the freshest, most consistent, best tasting food I’ve had in a long time. And the best part is, everything else is the same, too! The owner is behind the bar chatting with the patrons(and friendly as always) and the atmosphere is perfect. You feel like you’re sitting in Mexico or any tropical island, sipping beer and enjoying the local fare. Love it, love it, love it.

They have a «KILLERBURRITOS» sign outside. Challenge accepted. Burritos win. Went with 3 other people, we all got a different one… pollo and carne asada was delicioso, apparently so was the fried oyster burrito. They give you plenty of food…4−5 homemade salsas to garnish, and tortilla chips to go with. We sat at the bar and the owner(?) was very friendly and chatted with us. Atmosphere was«authentic» mexican… colorful, terracotta, tiny… The place was steadily busy, and with a lot of take-out customers, so that must say something. And it is right next to Kroger’s…my advice: enjoy a Killer Burrito and get stuffed, then do your grocery shopping. It’ll help you to not over-spend. They are your Amigos in more than one way. :)

It’s around the side of the Kroger, so a lot of people miss it. Amigos is kind of like the locally owned, non-chow line version of a Moe’s or Chipotle. Baja-style burritos and other fresh light fare. The food is fresh(including homemade tortillas) and delicious. The service is always very quick, but more relaxed than the above mentioned chain restaurants. They are brilliant and don’t pre-mix cilantro into everything they serve. But, you have to request none, or they’ll give it to you. It’s nice(and increasingly rare) to have a choice. They have a wide selection of Jarrito’s sodas, so you can have the complete experience of pretending to be a day laborer when you come out of your gated golfing community to pick up groceries your maid forgot to get.(Oooohhh…did I really say that?) What I mean to say is that it’s local, cheap and authentically good.
