Less than 2 years later, I’m back again. Still the best in town. Ribeye was perfect. Dessert was amazing. Some idiot customer can tell my mom to F-off anytime(dumb ass review mentioned here), I don’t care, I want to hang with Steve and Richard and Ally. Best ever dinner hands down. Reviewing a place based on your mom making someone angry is lame, get off Unilocal dum dum. Pour Richards is for the win always.

I just have to comment on some of the other reviews, first of all Richard the head chef isn’t there to entertain you, he is there to feed you, which he does very well. He has his favorites that go in because they are friends. If he gives them more attention it’s because they know eachother and it’s not his job to be your table side entertainment. Also this place should be 5stars but there is one group who is having a fit that another customer called them a mean name for complaining rudely all night. But anyway, Best atmosphere in town. Food is great, but getting to know the crew is so much fun. Richard is a hoot! Very friendly family feel. I always feel very welcome.

Pour Richards never disappoints — cept getting a table w/out reservation. Appetizer scallops are simply divine, and chef changes up sauces/toppings to keep you ordering repeatedly. Flatbreads are so mystical you’ll want to never order another bland red pizza. Fresh grilled Seafood is the lure, here, of course… Love that it is not a kid friendly place, and I’ve got 3 of them! Sometimes an adult needs a meal w/out the cries/whines of the littles, you know? Bartender Steve keeps you on your toes if can grab that rare open stool

I came here a last summer with my parents when my fiancée and I were engaged as a celebration and absolutely loved the food and service! I was also excited to receive a $ 50 gift card from my Aunt and Uncle for Christmas! However, after my parents experience last night when my mother was called a mother fucker by a patron with a connection to a staff member, I can safely say that I will be ripping up my gift certificate and never giving this place my business again. What a despicable way to end a meal which was well in excess of $ 1000. Good luck and good riddance!

Excellent food but the owner/chef Richard is always in a bad mood. He definitely has his favorite«peeps» that go there. He gives them all the attention and ignores everyone else.

Just got back from great meal at Pour Richards after meeting friends from our home town, Crown Point in Indiana. Was recommended by them since they live in Bluffton. Great drinks, service, meals and dessert. Best goodie place we have experienced including Neo and Hogsheads Tavern. Would recommend highly. Our group opted for crafted drinks, soups, salads, seafood meals, multitude of pizzas and great dessert. All were the finest we have had on Bluffton in informal setting. Great night.

I’m in love! We are kicking ourselves for not understanding what Pour Richards is all about. We’ve lived here 9 months and tonight is our first(and certainly not the last) this is excellent food on another level! Be sure to visit this place. Great staff. lovely menu… fun drinks… great atmosphere.

French Onion soup is so on point its unreal. But their crab rangoon pizza…*drool* I wish I could have some now. This place is somewhat of an older crowd but their food speaks for itself. We had several things on the menu and I can’t say 1 negative thing about it.(Wouldn’t recommend this place for kids though)

I found it to be overrated and overpriced. The waitstaff wasn’t very friendly. We were a party of four and are locals. And we would not be back. Lots of better places to go with better service

Great place with several options for your budget. We went with friends and experienced excellent service. Our server was probably the best we’d ever experienced. She provided very detailed descriptions of menu options, installing the same amount of love that I’m sure the back of the house gives to every dish. The food was excellent – we had the southern French onion soup, the spinach craisin salad, the cornbread stuffed quail small plate and the scallops st. Jacques. The wine selection is small but contains some really great wines. The entrees are pricey, but you could easily get away with a small pizette or a salad and small plate as your meal.

There’s no shortage of good seafood in the Bluffton/Hilton Head area, and Pour Richard’s is no exception in this regard. What sets Pour Richard’s apart is the exceptional atmosphere and excellent service. From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted with a wonderful smile and a catering to our every need. We were told to not even look at the menu because we were there to relax. The waitress for our table explained the specials and our dinner options almost like a performance, with emphasis on all the right words to make our mouths water. There were enough options that everyone at the table was able to try something different. For myself, I tried the flounder, with was juicy and flaky at the same time. It came with linguine and mussels to make it a full on seafood experience. I wasn’t as big of a fan of the bedding that it came on top of, but the overall meal was nothing to complain about. It was just the right portion and left enough room for dessert. All in all, I was very impressed. I will definitely be looking to come back when I can!

The menu is extensive, with a number of daily specials. We eat here all the time, and it is the best restaurant in Bluffton. For appetizers, the homemade pâté, the tuna and the oyster stew(winter menu only) are excellent. A fantastic burger, if you do not mind listening to your arteries closing. The daily fish specials are always good, but sometimes too much is going on. Not much on décor, but lots of energy. For two, the fun place is to eat at the bar. If you are looking for a quiet night out, this is not it.

We picked this place last minute for date night and we were very impressed! Food was on point(salmon and swordfish were to die for), service(Steve is a character) was great and ambiance was laid back. We sat at the bar and watched the chefs behind the scenes as we sipped our drinks. We well definitely come again.

This is a wonderful place. Make a reservation, and don’t be weary of sitting at the bar. The southern french onion soup is awesome. I recommend any of the seafood specials. Definitely a locals place as the kitchen staff will talk to customers. The chef is amazing and the wine list/beer list is legit! Not a dessert person, but they are divine here!!!

Firstly, make sure you have plenty of time before going here to eat. They’re busy. All the time. And they take their sweet time to do everything, and they know it(but I think that’s a good thing). Secondly– don’t think about skipping dessert. Ally makes the most delicious things I have ever had the pleasure to eat. Coconut crème brulee was on the menu last time and it was phenomenal. Sitting at the bar, you could see them freshly whip the cream to complement the dessert. The food is pretty good. Like most restaurants around here, it’s hard to find something to eat if you’re not big on seafood. But you can never go wrong with the filet mignon there. The servers know what they’re doing and do a great job telling the specials. Everything is very detailed and you can tell they put a lot of love in to what they do(chefs and servers alike). It also has a very homey feel, like somehow when you walk in it’s like you’re a long lost friend they haven’t seen in ages. Would recommend to locals and tourists who are looking for fresh, local fare with a fun staff.

I don’t even know where to start– Pour Richard’s will become a regular place for me to visit when I’m in town. A small group of us went and were all extremely happy with everything. The staff is so nice, knowledgable and passionate about what they do.(Plus, they support local which is always great!) Can’t wait to return!

So great place even to sit at thebar and chat as well as watch your good as it’s prepared! Their new summer seasonal menu is terrific. The sides are creative & the main courses perfection. I had the swordfish with a light scampi sauce pomodori sauce with Swiss chard! Even though it’s fish don’t hesitate to try the Michael David petit petite Syrah

Pour Richards offers Excellent Menu Choices Such as Pork Bellies and a Large Variety of Pâté’s which are rare in the area. A Great Wine List as well as Superb Service! I started with the Quail with Braised Pork Belly Appetizer which was tender and delicious. Then, my next choice would have been the Oyster Pie, However, Pour Richards will only make it if the Oysters are in season. The Shrimp and Grits were Perfect, as well as my Dates Dish, The days Special«Grouper». If you’re looking for fine dining in Bluffton, I suggest getting a reservation at Pour Richards. It can get crowded! Enjoy, Chef Gary Curry
