Service was good. Lunch menu doesn’t offer as much as I hoped. Food was just average.

5 stars for mama q’s sauce which is banginnnn. Also the atmosphere is super swanky and feels like somewhere the rat pack would frequent in their day.

Won’t be back. Why? Because there was a hair in my pasta Capri… Someone else in my party was lactose intolerant and we let the waitress know explicitly That there could be no form of dairy in her meal. They served her a dish with cheese only to come out later and acknowledge it. She’d eaten enough to be effected by it and they still didn’t make it right by bringing a new one. Bad experience. Sub-par food. Won’t be back

After reading some previous reviews, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Now that I’ve eaten here, I probably won’t be back. Here’s why… Atmosphere — Upon entering the restaurant and walking up to the hostess desk, the three ladies working behind it just looked at me. No greeting. No welcome. Nothing but blank stares. I asked for my group and one decided to snap to life and show me where my friends were seated. Most restaurants I know hire hostess staff to GREET and seat customers, not stare at them. The restaurant’s décor was a bit misleading. The outside of the building gave an impression of semi-upscale dining. The exterior door was framed with beautiful pine rope and Christmas lights which were a nice touch. But the inside reminded me of an out-dated Las Vegas casino. It wasn’t the cleanest either. Several of us asked for another set of silverware because what we had was dirty. Even the waitress groaned because she had to keep getting clean forks. Food — Fair at best. Hearty portions but I feel the food was overpriced. I ordered lasagna which was nothing special at over $ 15 a plate. It came with bread and the most pathetic salad I’ve ever seen. The lettuce tasted as though it came right out of a bag and the white balsamic dressing was the consistency of water. I literally took two bites. My friend ordered linguine with greens and chicken which was much better. The dessert, key lime pie, was quite tasty. However, when my friend asked the waitress if it contained nuts, she replied that she didn’t know because the box in which it came in had been thrown away. Just a plain tacky! Considering the service, taste, and price point, I’m surprised this place is still open. This community is known for great Italian food at good prices. Simply put, there are better places to dine.

My family and I went for lunch on a Saturday. The atmosphere was casual and the staff were all very fun. The food was great and the marinara sauce had a different taste for the area, but good. The tiramisu was really nice, we all enjoyed this desert. Overall, we had a great experience and will go back next time in town for a nice meal.

Caffe Capri! One of the best Italian places in Boardman. The Chicken Parm is so filling and Exquisite. I love to get this dish with the capellini and the red sauce is also one of the best in the area.

Very good food. I really like their white balsamic dressing on salads. All of the pastas are really good and so are the desserts.

This is by far my favorite Italian restaurant in Youngstown. Great service, food, prices, and atmosphere! My family has been going here for decades and have never had a bad meal or time.

Excellent homemade Italian food! If you are looking for the best Eggplant Parmesan in the Youngstown area search no more! I’ve tried it at several other restaurants and it’s never as good as Caffe Capris’. Their crème brûlée changes for the season. If you have a chance to try the pumpkin or peppermint versions, you won’t be disappointed!

Café Capri is one of the many restaurants in the United States that is given too much credit for their food and dining experience. I have dined here twice and each time I have been forgotten and have had to wait two hours before the servers recognized that I had ordered food. DONOTGO! Though thought to be one of the greats in Youngstown it is a clueless group that does not understand the definition of service!

A decent restaurant specializing in Italian cuisine. Very trendy ambiance with above average Italian food. Awesome bar with great drink specials.

I’ve been in Café Capri a few times. The food and service are okay but the prices are elevated for pasta in Youngstown. Save your money or go to Salvatore’s. 12.9.2013 I went back for a family party and confirmed that the food is vastly overpriced for the quality. I had the Pasta Capri; a large plate of pasta with too little sauce and a «Parmigiana Chicken Breast» that tasted like over-salted, deep fried chicken a la fast food. Our table saw our waitress infrequently, despite the fact(or because) we were charged an automatic 18% gratuity. Bread was scare, drinks went unfilled and the waitress cleared some diners’ plates and started processing checks before the entire party had finished their meals. Perhaps they ought to scale back the outrageous décor and spend a little more on chef and waitstaff training.

Food was great, chicken francaise was tender and the sauce was very flavorful albeit a tad on the salty side. My server was very nice, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu items. The bread with oil/cheese was very good, a nice change from just a standard bread and butter. Overall a very nice atmosphere and very good food. I would not hesitate to visit again when I am in town. Prices were very reasonable, I was here for lunch, portion sizes were very good.

The front desk clerk at our hotel in Austintown said we had to try it. We were so happy that we took him back a dessert as a token of our appreciation. The hot peppers and olives appetizer was amazing as was the bread and olive oil. Tossed salads were very good. My wife had the lasagne and I had a combination plate of eggplant and chicken parmesan with spaghetti. All were outstanding! Very large portions and what I think were decent prices especially for what you get. I moved from NE Ohio many years ago and sorely missed this type of Italian food. Thanks Caffe Capri for being exactly what we needed last week. I don’t get back very often but will assue you I will be dining there again on our next visit.

I can’t say enough about Caffe Capri! Great food, great atmosphere, everything was wonderful! I recommend the lunch portion of Gnocci with Italian Sausage! You’ll also get a salad and bread. It can be a little expensive, but it is WELL worth it. I highly recommend it anytime someone asks me where to go for lunch!

Believe it or not, this was my first time to Caffe Capri and it did not disappoint. A great red sauce Italian place on the South Side. This is the kind of food you look for in Youngstown, Ohio. The restaurant has that Youngstown Mafioso Chic going for it, as you would expect given its location. Some great seasonal mixed drink concoctions, including some delicious martinis. The sauce was up to snuff and better than anything I’ve found in Cincinnati. I had the Italian Platter, a combo plate of all sorts of pasta favorites bathed in a delicious marinara. The only thing I didn’t love was that it seemed a bit fancy(read expensive) given that its really just a pasta and sauce kind of place.

So, this must be the fine dining of Eastern Ohio. We came here on our overnight stay…(thanks to the Unilocal app… it was pretty much this or Eat N Park) There was about a 30 minute wait for the 3 of us on a Saturday night. First off, our glass of house wine as $ 8. I mean, really? Second, the bread and olive oil they bring out, I’m almost positive it isn’t extra virgin. Boo. Third, they had italian wedding soup on special. Honestly? Awful. Such a let down. Fourth, I had this«awesome Mama Q sauce» which was just normal pasta sauce to me. Soooo by the sounds of it, 3 stars is really generous. But I get that this is probably the nicest place that people who live in the middle of nowhere can go. It was better than going to Olive Garden…

On the web site it said this place is a little bit of Vegas, I can see why that is after walking in. The decors give it a a vibrant look that you can believe that you are in Vegas. The food was alright. The chicken allouette came highly recommended by one of my coworkers. I enjoyed it because after the hype I was expecting more. One thing that made this place unlike Vegas is that it closes at 10-ish. There was no one there by the time my part left at 10:30
