The Amish market is like a small indoor mall. Lots of food stores like multi varieties of cheese and lunch meat, baked goods, another offering spices and packaged food, small fruit market, a nut and confectionary and of course the donut place. If money was no object, I’d own several beautiful handmade wooden furniture pieces but it does so I don’t. There are a few gift type stores. There is a small homey type restaurant which is usually busy, I consider the food just ok. There are several snacky food places. A hot pretzel usually finds it way home with me. Even if you don’t buy anything it is fun to browse and people watch.

Visited this place last week with my mother and grandma. When my grandmother told us she wanted to visit the Amish market I thought we would have to drive a ways, since my mother and I are from out of state, we didn’t realize it was so close to our hotel. We all enjoyed ourselves for a lovely afternoon trip. Was amazed on the fresh donuts and pastries, we got about 3 dozen for the family dinner that night. Enjoyed some BBQ and pizza for lunch, loved the baby back ribbs! Got some crackers and organic chesse for our hotel room stay. Really enjoyed this place and very nice people working here.

We used to love this location to shop, and get some food. Slowly the prices crept higher and higher with less deals being offered. The workers are always nice. However produce and meat doesn’t look fresh along w prices that are better at other local spots. What can draw people to this location? Better more reasonable prices are what drew us here along with solid eating options. Those with stands closing limiting our options further. Sad but hopefully the writing on the walls will see all of the stands reopen. And prices and quality

I really enjoyed my first visit to the Valley Marketplace; there was so much to see, both in food and homegoods/furniture, that I will definitely be coming back. I attended the 2nd anniversary event and tried a pulled pork sandwich and ribs, both of which were delicious!

As I sit with my occasional treat of a fritter bite and coffee I must also sing the praises of goats milk and grass fed cows milk cheeses, fresh eggs from an organic farm and hand rolled butter. There are beautiful quilts and furniture(including outdoor pieces.) There are bulk items for baking and snacking, and a meat section which will also take orders for fresh lamb, whole or half, cut to order. Mary’s salads has one of my faves — overnight potato salad. Yum! There are a few places where fresh foods are cooked for your dining pleasure whether it be pizza and wraps or a meal of chicken or meatloaf with all the trimmings. A few of the shops only take cash but there is an ATM available. Come explore and find your new faves.

Love Valley Marketplace! There are a large number of vendors here with everything from furniture to food — all of it great! i often buy meat here and they have a smokehouse with terrific ribs! When you walk in you smell the freshly baked doughnuts, fried pies and other goodies from the Amish ladies. I dare you to get back out without buying one! Great selection of cheeses, baked goods, spices, fresh veggies are all available. There is a sitdown restaurant as well as a couple fast food type vendors. The Stolfutz(sp?) ham sandwiches that are served on Saturdays only are really tasty and well worth a try!

The Valley Market Place is awesome! I was pleasantly surprised by this Amish market and can’t wait for the chance to visit again. The market is divided up into twenty or so individual vendors that sell everything from handcrafted furniture to delicious baked goods and pretzels. We tried fresh blueberry donuts, fried chicken, ribs, a pretzel and a fresh-squeezed lemonade. We also chatted with a few folks, and everyone was very nice and helpful. Most of the vendors take credit cards, but there’s also an ATM in the front if you need to grab cash. Great place to grab jams, ice cream, meats, gifts, and more.

Highly over priced! Fresh meat department is horrible, the meats looked spoiled the day I went. People were just walking by and not even stopping to buy any. Produce was old. The only thing I can say is that the workers were friendly.

Will write more when I get on a real computer. But quickly I live in Pittsburgh and this is best mid size market of any kind between Pittsburgh and Akron. And lots of(28) shops and stalls selling food meats cheeses produce furniture all owned and run by Amish.
