Emerald Bay Club Apartments

I have been living in Emerald Bay Club for 2 years now and can not wait to get out of my lease! This place takes your money but offers no value in return.
Let me list
1. People park everywhere and anywhere. On the grass, double park along the curbs. When I moved in there was actually green grass in the community. Now there are many dirt spots around the community due to illegal parking. Not to mention people here don’t care for there own vehicles, don’t expect them to respect yours.
2. The buildings themselves are minimally cared for. There are wasp nests in many spots. The paint on the walk ways and stairs are all faded and chipped. THERE IS MOLD AND ALGAE ON THE STAIRS AND WALKWAYS. VERY SLIPPERY AND DANGEROUS.
3. There is very little coverage from rain so you get soaked walking into your apartment and water stays sitting in many of the sideways creating a lounge for frogs and bugs. Literally frogs all over after it rains.
4. Plumbing and A/​C units are very poor. Sinks/​tubs are always getting clogged. (And I dont have long hair)
5. Office people are nice, although you have to call all day for 3 days before you actually can get ahold of anyone.
6. Pool area is not upkept and the jacuzzi? Well, it’s had yellow tape around it since I moved in 2 years ago. Not to mention the gym costs extra, and the equipment is very poor.
7. I caught my neighbor dumping his cat litter into the bushes in front of my building. This created a horrible scent that I had to deal with everytime I got home. I told the office, nothing was done. I had to comfront the neighbor myself.
8. There is a 125 late fee for rent.
9. This area is filled with homeless looking people that walk all throughout the community at night.
This place gets worse, but the rent goes up every year.

I don’t know why so many people are having bad experiences. I’ve lived here nearly a year & plan to renew my lease today. The community is well kept, maintence responds to my calls very timely, as does pest control. I can pay my rent online, which is very convenient, there’s a playground & two pools (though they should be cleaned a wee bit more often). The staff I’ve spoken to are always courteous. The location is highly convenient to pretty much everything in west Boca & parkland. Only thing I’d really like to see since the rent is a bit high is a gate to the community. Otherwise I have no qualms at all. I love it here!

I have been having serious problems in your community of emerald bay. There is a mold issue in my unit, I have been bringing this to the attention of your management since I moved in back in July. Finally in December after complaining about health issues someone came out and confirmed mold was indeed in my unit, despite management telling me that you would have someone use a method to actually kill the mold, I was informed by a subcontractor your management team sent out that I should just pour bleach on it. Not even 2 months later and the mold is back, my son and I are sick AGAIN. And I have not paid my rent, the staff in the office ignores phone calls and emails. I literally have to take off of work to resolve everything since their hours are conveniently 10 – 5 I finally get a notice in the mail from a judge about me being evicted, this is ridiculous you want your money but I should live in a home that is hazardous to both me and my 3 yr old I expect a phone call back immediately or I will be going to Help me Howard. The LEAST you guys could do is let me BREAK my lease, since you refused to move me into another apartment. Please contact me immediately
