The staff makes the place exceptional. Tina the manager does everything to please and makes sure things are right. Jordan at the front reception desk is a delight and professional The menu selection is outstanding the prices are right and there are always different specials to choose from. Wine selection is varied, only wish they served Prosecco by the glass You can’t go wrong by dining here

This place is a chain but you really can’t tell. This is my goto place for prime rib. They just do it better than everyone else. Great professional servers which is hard to find nowadays. The only downside is the price of some of the dishes but you get what you pay for. Top me it’s really a special occasion kind of restaraunt.

Great spot to sit at the bar, order a martini with a side car, a prime rib or a french dip and enjoy. Look for Lexi and Kim behind the bar. Fantastic.

This restaurant reminds me of Houston’s. Their menu is basically identical. Does anybody know if they are the same owner? I usually come here with my boyfriend, Nick, and his boss, Steve. It’s always really packed and noisy, but the ambiance is nice and romantic. If it’s just Nick and I we usually sit at the bar. The employees are all really nice and attentive. The service is fairly fast! The Fire-grilled artichokes are an awesome appetizer. I have been wanting to try the smoked salmon dip, so hopefully I’ll try that soon. For dinner I love getting the ahi tuna salad. It’s really delicious! The Shrimp Louie Salad is really good as well — tiny little shrimps in it, but I definitely prefer the Tuna. If they have the Ahi Tuna Burger on their specials, Nick get that — he loves it and says its incredible, however they usually run out pretty fast. Nick likes getting steak here as well, he is always very happy with it, but he also loves getting the Grilled Chicken Salad. They have great size portions here — we always leave with leftovers.

I love this place and always try and get at least one meal in when in town. The salads are HUGE and my favorite. They also have a tuna burger that’s to die for. Service is always prompt and friendly. I love the food here and find the prices right in line with the delish quality they offer. Drinks are great as well, but I crave the Thai chicken salad! If I could have them mail one that would be great!

As a certified Chef myself, You don’t eat out much when you can create award winning gourmet meals at home. Though as any Chef we have our days where we want to expand our taste buds and taste new flavors while exploring unique cooking techniques from other chefs. The first time my husband and I decided to give Alexander’s a try it blew us away and quickly reached a spot on our top 10 list of favorite restaurants. As impressed as we were we came back hungry for more! Only this time to be extremely disappointed. The not your ordinary mac & cheese that blew us away the first time tasted of freezer burn. And as if that wasn’t disappointing enough our broccoli was garnished in a heavy amount of olive oil. It is possible the head chef for whatever reason was not there that night when we attended and had pre made meals for the manager to work with which would explain the freezer burn mac and cheese and the amateur decision to garnish steamed broccoli in heavy pours of olive oil. Needless to say we will not be coming back.

The menu changes glacially here and seldom improves. They game their call-ahead program to tell people they’ll walk right in so they get mobbed and people are buying more drinks while they’re waiting. Over promise and under delivery keeps me out of this McEatery run by the amateur hour and staffed with wait people using season dollars and a little more experience to move out of the BJS/Brewzzi/Alexander’s factory restaurants to something a bit less hectic. Menu now includes a club sandwich that you could get at any deli. Joy.

Great service. Really good waiter. Manager stopped by also which is always nice. Steaks prepared as requested. Very tender. Not a lot of spice on food. More plain style, but if you want a good steak this is a nice choice. Prices slightly high, but food quality and service justify.

Love J Alexanders. Almost like an upscale dinner. Great atmosphere, even better food love the salmon, couscous and veggie plate Ask For James to be your waiter you’ll be glad that you did. Tell him Beth sent you.

I’ve heard a lot about this restaurant, since it’s the favorite of a friend. So, I figured it was time to try it. I had the Maui steak — a good sized prime rib with a sauce that was redolent with soy sauce, pineapple and ginger. The steak was a bit on the fatty side, but was properly cooked to medium rare. The sauce was a very nice accompaniment. The steak came with a side of smashed potatoes. These were red potatoes, mashed with the skin on. The seasoning was just salt and butter. They were nothing special, but went nicely with the steak. If you’re planning on going during rush hour, they don’t take reservations, so plan in advance.

Alexander’s has a great bar so it’s worth it to come just for that. The place is large and bar seating is usually available because it is so big. The service is excellent as are the drinks. The food is surprisingly excellent as I wasn’t expecting much from a chain type restaurant. One of the better bar restaurant places to go in Boca.

I really enjoy the food here. It’s always fresh and tasty. I usually get their Caesar salad and grilled artichokes. Their rotisserie chicken is delicious and not dry. Have tried their prime rib, soups, NY steak, filet mignon and pork, and they are all tasty. The service is superb. Once we order prime rib and we requested medium but the meat was delivered to us as medium well and when we asked the server if possible to get a new one she was extremely nice and right away we got a new one which was delivered to us by the chef, the chef even waited for us to cut the meat and he made sure that it was to our liking.

I’ve been to J Alexanders several times over the years — all in IL, but I was less than impressed with my meal this last time in Florida. My entrée this time just left a lot to be desired. I ordered the Rattlesnake Tagliatelle — Southwestern spices, peppers and chicken. From the description, I was expecting a spicy dish with a lot of flavor. However, it was a very heavy dish with a thick white cream sauce — something I wish they had described on the menu. I barely ate half the entrée and it was not something I wanted to save and take home. Maybe I should have asked what sauce it was prepared with, but I wasn’t expecting something so thick… which took away from any spices that might have been included. The rest of my party all ordered salads and liked them. I just was very disappointed with my meal. On a side note — it’s very cold in the restaurant, so you might want to bring a sweater… something my mother-in-law fortunately recommended before we left.

I like their food, especially their salads, and usually get one of them, or broiled fish. Portions are large, and well prepared. Depending on the time of day and day of the week, service can feel rushed, like they want to turn the table around fast for the Boca crowd waiting. Or, you can be ignored, for the wait staff have too many tables. The service is somewhat impersonal, as the waiter/waitress takes your order, the food runner brings it, and you really don’t see or interact with the waiter/waitress anymore. Too many times I have had to flag down someone, anyone, to get my coffee refilled, or another bootle of water. So, I return, although sometimes I leave wondering why, when there are so many other places to go to. And prices are somewhat high. And along with their no reservations policy, you have to wonder is it worth it to wait 30 minutes for lunch or dinner. For me, the answer is no. I can’t go more than 3 stars.

I was sitting at the bar when a male manager came up and completely interrupted my conversation with the bartender. He was loud, rude, and completely disrespectful to the bartender. I felt so bad for him having to work with someone like that. The service at this bar was fantastic, but I couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable after the manager’s aggressive approach. Does he really think yelling at his employees will make people want to dine at his restaurant? I wanted to yell at him for the bartender. The food here was amazing, despite the manager’s disgusting display. I had the New York Strip with a kale salad. It was great, and went well with the wine.

J. Alexander’s is a beautiful high-class restaurant. They are sort of high priced but they have daily specials that are great deals. Tremendous steaks top the menu. The rest of the selections are equally fabulous as well as wonderful desserts. Beautiful music plays while you enjoy your marvelous meal. You feel like a million dollars in J. Alexander’s. They are extremely careful to every part of the presentation on your plate. It is one of my favorite places in town.

This was our first time here. We had the tuna steak, steak brazzo and the prime rib. The tuna steak was seared to a perfect rare temperature. The prime rib was tender, very flavorful and not too fatty. On the other hand the steak brazzo had an very overpowering vinegar taste too it and was a disappointment. Overall it was a good dining experience though the prices are a bit steep.
