So ehhh. It’s not bad, though a solid deal for the price when you get the early bird special. The location is nice enough: «waterfront» is a stretch though, since it’s on this little man-made lake/canal. The interior of the restaurant is pretty small, and not particularly nice. The service is fine. Again, nothing special, but not horrible either. Lastly the food. Ahh the food. So for $ 15, you can get the early bird special from 5 — 7 pm. You get a greek salad, entrée, dessert and coffee. The Greek salad is pretty good, especially the feta. The bread that comes free is garlic bread, with some herbs on it. It’s pretty good warm, not as good once it cools down. So eat it warm. I ordered the grilled shrimp entrée, which came crusted with some unnamed but relatively tasty substance and otherwise well cooked. The potatoes that it came with were excellent. The broccoli, not so much. Also tried the sole(fine) and the sea bass(good). Desert was«homemade» baklava — ehh. I’m not a huge baklava fan, but I’m pretty familiar with good baklava. This wasn’t it. Finished off with an espresso that had more milk than espresso. All in all, it was a fine meal for the price. Anything special? Nope. Don’t go out of your way to come here, but I wouldn’t worry about avoiding it. Solid food, but nothing life changing.

Met 2 Florida friends for dinner. Not bad for Florida — guess I’m spoiled by all the really terrific Greek places in NYC. That said, we enjoyed most of our meal, & it was reasonably priced. Started w. the 3-dips platter, & none of us could’ve recognized what the waiter told us was babganoush — tasted like flavored mayonnaise; the hummus, however, was really delish. Tzatziki was, well, okay, I liked it but have had better. The pita wedges, served warm, were excellent. We ordered main dishes on their early-evening menu(served till 7 p.m., we just made it) & the portions were ample. The shrimp Myknonos was very, very good! Grilled shrimp had excellent taste & texture, served over fresh baby spinach & with good, fresh broccoli & excellent lemon potatoes. The couscous wasn’t so great, but with just a little scoop on the plate, that was fine. The disappointment was the«early evening menu» dessert choice, either carrot cake or a brownie — should’ve been baklava or other Greek desserts, but I guess for $ 14.95 they aren’t giving everything. Best was 2 for 1 house wine — 2 of us each had a glass of house cabernet for $ 5. And it was a pretty decent cab. We sat outside, as it wasn’t the hottest that FL can be in August, and the stone tables overlooking the water made for a pleasant atmosphere.

Great atmosphere. I see one reviewer complained at a 25 minute wait! So there is a small wait sometimes because it is that popular. It is well worth it. Great food — great entertainment as well. A lot of fun… Highly recommend Mykonos.

Been there twice. Both times had reservations, first time Saturday we waited, ended up in the room across the way which I guess you’d have to see it to understand it. Food was just OK, appetizers pretty good, main course I’ve had better. Had a belly dancer so a little entertaining. Next week was having company from out of state so figured well they have a full bar and entertainment and read other review so said well give it another go! OHMY! Food was worse than the first time but the entertainment, I was in the main restaurant this time really didn’t wait, but waiters and waitresses dancing on the table(and we wondered if they got washed after this) customers were also pulled up for this, one really bad belly dancer and she looked like she was sent home and then another one that was good. Another older women(I was calling the energizer bunny) wasn’t sure if she worked there or a customer but decided she must work there dancing all over the place. Would I go back, sure, but would sit at the bar for drinks and an appetizer not for dinner, mostly for the entertainment aspect.

I called my younger brother last night and said«wow– our parents were absolutely crazy tonight. They were actually dancing on the tables at dinner.» My brother asked where we went and after I told him Mykonos exclaimed«oh i went there with them once… never again.» A few hours prior to this conversation my mom asked me if I would like to join them and their friends for dinner at a really good Greek restaurant. Not really knowing any people my own age in Boca Raton these days I was up for anything and so I found myself at Mykonos. My parents friends were enjoying a few cocktails at the bar when we first got there so I figured it would be a few minute wait. We waited, and waited, and waited… and were finally seated about an hour later. And once seated our waiter seemed to disappear and each time I’d look for him he’d be dancing on a table. I think this may be why there is such a long wait to be seated and for food– the waiters spend most of the night dancing on the table! The portions are absolutely huge here so we ordered a platter of appetizers that had a little of everything on it(hummus, grape leaves, some sort of Greek spinach thingee, etc). Everything was really good, but it was so late by the time we ate that anything would have tasted great to me by then. We ordered 3 entrees for the table, which came with a few different salads. So much food– could have gone for 2 entrees for all 5 of us. I didn’t expect the food to be good because this place seemed to be all about the atmosphere, but was pleasantly surprised when I tried the shrimp mykonos(delicious!) and lamb chops. The real interesting part of the night came when my parents(who had a few too many glasses of wine and vodka) were dancing on the tables along with the waiters. And by the end of our meal 90% of the people in the restaurant were shaking their booties on the tables. They played great music, although very loud so don’t expect to actually chat with any of your dinner companions. I’d typically give a restaurant like this 3 stars, but any restaurant that can get my parents dancing on the tables deserves at least 4 stars.
