Really really good all around. The pizzas are excellent quality and are unbelievably tasty. My only knock would be the price. I paid close to $ 30 for a 10″ Bayonne; granted there is tons of prosciutto and imported cheese on the pizza but I couldn’t help feeling it was overpriced.

I went for the first time last week and can’t wait to go back again. The pizza was delicious and the owners and staff were all very friendly. Love supporting local businesses like this one!

Want to feel like you are appreciated, respected fed beautiful food and be treated like a valued guest? Then get thee to Slice of Provence The four of us had just finished playing some tennis and were looking for a casual spot to grab dinner near the courts. Having heard some nice things about this place, and recognizing we weren’t dressed for anything hoity-toity, we stopped in to try their pizza. From the moment we entered the small bistro tucked away behind the bustle of Royal Palm Plaza, we were on our way to a relaxing and delightful evening under the stars. The proprietor greeted us warmly and shared her obvious pride in the distinctly different pizzas they offer. Honestly, calling this a pizza place does them a great disservice. Yes, it’s shaped like a pizza, it’s made from dough and has goodies on top. But that’s where the similarities to a typical pizzeria end. The crust was perfect — just the right blend of chewy and soft. And the toppings were so interesting! From tapenade to goat cheese to caramelized onions to garlic confit to salmon to porcini mushrooms to roasted eggplant to lamb sausage to caviar to béchamel sauce and ham. Well — let’s just say that there’s plenty from which to choose and any of the choices would be a treat. They take great care to select toppings that complement each other. The aubergine with cantal cheese, sundried tomatoes, roasted peppers, roasted eggplant, goat cheese and tapenade was a winner. I’m not a big goat cheese lover so I opted for the Marsellaise with garlic broccoli rabe, spicy lamb sausage(who has that???), caramelized onions and cantal cheese. With a little extra dash of salt it was perfect. Oh wait — I almost forgot… the four of us ordered one salad(yes, only one). And not only was it enough to share, it was so fresh and light with just enough vinaigrette to flavor each leaf without being drenched. I highly recommend ordering at least one salad — very francais indeed. Oh wait — I almost forgot something else. $ 22 bottles of French wine! What? Yep — 4 nice sized glasses from one crisp, cool sauvignon blanc. If you can’t get to the Champs d’Elysee anytime soon — treat yourself to a little taste of France right here in Boca. Grab a seat at an outdoor table, share a glass of wine with friends, and be so proud of yourself for discovering this smart little place. PS — a little note. they have listened to customer concerns and now serve their wine in glasses and their pizza/salads on plates…

Shhhhhhh– don’t tell anyone about Slice of Provence. I want it all to myself! Hands down the best pizza I have had in south Florida… probably the best I have ever had in the US. I pray to the food gods that people discover this off the beaten path heavenly nook of a place. On a nice evening, sitting outside in a quaint garden, sipping Wine, sharing a great salad to start it off, and then diving into the highest evolution of the pizza species — well, try it for yourself. I recommend the Marseillaise pizza without the caramelized onions. Check out their web site at — Trust me on this place. P. S. I have given only one place a five star rating. I was very close to giving Slice a five star rating. I resisted the temptation. If I gave alot of 5 star ratings, it would minimize the Integrity of my reviews. In the case of Slice, I might very well change my mind — it was that good.

We love this place — their passion for creating an exceptional eating experience is evident — both in their amazing food(their salads are as awesome as their pizzas!) and in their care to provide the best service.

I can’t tell you how impressed I was with the pizza here. Not your typical«red sauce» italian pizza. Great crust, cool toppings. I almost ordered a 2nd pie! Would DEFINITELY recommend!

Wow that was delicious! I had the Bayonne pizza. It was so good, and the Grand Crû Chocolate desert was fabulous. The décor and atmosphere is unique and so welcoming and warm. Definitely going back! Okay to split checks with group. My friends all liked their pizza too.

I adore this restaurant. I eat out almost every night and this is exactly the kind of place I hope to go to. Small and charming, run by good people who do things well. The décor is lovely, like a French café, which it is. The people working there are warm and welcoming, just like the delicious french baguette flavored crust on the pizza. They make you happy to be there. And the then actual pizza… When I dream about my perfect version of comfort food, this is what I imagine. Specifically the Forestiere — a variety of sautéed mushrooms with ricotta, truffle oil and greens all on their wonderful crust. It’s a warm & cozy bite of heaven. It’s hard for me to describe how good this is, because it’s a lot to do with the feeling I get from eating it. It’s comfort food though and in the best possible way — like a food hug, but it’s not too heavy or rich. They balance the amount of each ingredient perfectly, offset the richness of the cheeses with the greens on top, never overload the crust. It’s just RIGHT and its a joy to eat! I love having a place to go to where things are done with care. I think that as he lays it out the guy making the pizza saying to himself«one mushroom here, one mushroom here… leave room for the ricotta here and here… Another mushroom here…, wait no, that one should go over here…» It really is all put together that well. Now I’m dreaming about that pizza again so I guess my dinner plans were just set for tonight.

As far as pizza is concerned… I am a harsh critic being from NY. Slice of Provence takes gourmet pizza to a whole new level. It is my token go-to place. Cecile, the owner, is very sweet and her staff are greatly attentive without being over-bearing. Definitely stop by, have a 2-for-1 wine, share a pie and enjoy!

I normally eat in at work, but had the urge to get out and try this recommendation from another Unilocal friend and was in the mood for pizza, something different though. This is a small quaint, French pizza restaurant tucked away in a small strip of restaurants near Mizner Park. It is basically a pizza bar with an assortment of French Wines that are very reasonable, anywhere from $ 5.00 to $ 9.00 a glass. This is a perfect place to stop for lunch if you are living or working in Boca. They normally sell 14″ and 10″ French gourmet pizzas, but for a nice lighter lunch they serve a ½ 10″ pizza with a side of salad. Every ingredient is made fresh. I had the lamb, broccoli rabe and caramelized onions on my pizza with the light, creamy French Comte Cheese. It was so delicious. I was in and out in 35 minutes. The server at the bar was really personable and explained to me about the wine tastings they are planning to have every month starting at 7pm. The restaurant is not that big, probably about 10 tables, plus the pizza bar, which overlooks the kitchen and the server is right there talking to you. Kind of like eating in your own kitchen. Looking forward to stopping by on my way home from work and having a couple glasses of good wine and pizza, and just relaxing, and not rushing back to work. It only has been opened since last April, so if you have not tried Slice of Provence, I recommend stopping in and giving it a try. I also signed up on their e mail list to get notifications of their wine tastings and events.

I’ve added another star to my prior review, as I have now dined at Slice Of Provence about 6x, and they have addressed several of the issues I had raised concerns about: They now use real glasses to serve their wines, rather than plastic cups, and they are also using silver cutlery, rather than plastic knives and forks. The French styled pizza remains exceptionally well prepared, salads with toppings have been added, as well as a happy hour with $ 5 wines and $ 2 beers. So, they are innovating, and being responsive to constructive suggestions. Unilocalers in East Boca should try their pizza, experience a real laid back setting, especially their outdoor seating, and support a small local business which has high quality, great tasting food.

Just found this place. French pizza hmmm… guess what… this place is fantastic. No it’s not Italian pizza but it’s really fantastic crust with unique toppings that are delicious! It’s really great pizza! 241 house wine $ 2 beers happy hour… I had a great pinot noir… PAYS D’OC for $ 25 not bad at all. Was a little confused by the entrance. they have a bunch of French lotions and stuff I the window. thought it was a boutique not a restaurant. weird…I suggest taking that out of the front window I walk all the way around the place to looking for entrance!

Tres bien. Great fresh pizza. Great wine selection for under $ 8 per glass or under $ 25 per bottle. Nice salads. Poor beer list & poor coffee, but still very worth coming for the pizza. Folks who deserve some of your money.

This place is amazing! My boyfriend and I drove by planning to go to Saquella in Royal Palm Place which is good but always slow and sometimes a long wait. We saw Slice of Provence and decided to try it instead. So glad we did! The food was VERY delicious, the homemade orange blossom tea was divine and the service was outstanding! The interior décor is so cute and there is a great little bistro feel to the place. The ingredients were clearly fresh and quality. I really hope this little place makes it, as I would love to have them nearby for many years to come!

I was walking to go to another restaurant when I saw this little window with this very charming and inviting décor, so inviting that I changed my plans and decided to check the place. What a great decision! I hadn’t notice this place before so I assumed they were pretty new in the neighborhood, and I found out with the waiter that they had opened last April. The service was so welcoming, only two servers, they have maybe 6 tables inside, another 4 tables outside, and two picnic tables also outside. Their menu is as charming and interesting as the place itself. The owner, a French lady from Provence, moved with her family to SoFla and decided to make good use of all she learned from her grandmother about herbs, cheese, fresh food, etc. I’ve got to say she learned well. The place is simple, elegant, and charming all at once. Their menu follows the same line, they have two types of salad, one vegetarian with eggplant, goat cheese, greens, sun dried tomatoes, onions, delicious sauce. Well you can see that I chose this one! The other one had prosciutto, cantal cheese(French cheese similar to a sharp swiss) greens, etc. I decided to have that as a pizza, and it was divine! They prepare a fig balsamic reduction sauce that goes on top of the pizza so delicious! I completely forgot my manners and ate the pizza with my hands, and licked my fingers not to waste a drop of the fig sauce… They also had other pizzas with smoked salmon and caviar(that one I saw live and it was breathtaking!), they have one sandwich, croque monsieur, as dessert they have French ice cream. According to our waiter they do the pizza dough from scratch with fresh ingredients, and most of the specialty ingredients are imported from France. Ai ai ai! Or should I day Ooh la la!!! They do not use tomato sauce on their pizzas, and their dough is similar to a soft baguette, but very light. I loved that they did not melt everything, they melted the base of the pizza and the toppings came out fresh! Right now they are open for lunch and dinner until 9 pm, and in the future they are thinking about adding a Sunday brunch which I totally said yes please! They also have a nice selection of wines, some beers, and of course Orangina! I’m definitely coming back for a girls night out and bringing my girls with me to try this special place that I just added to my fav list in Boca! *MUSTBOOKMARKTHISONE*

One of the best pizza we ever ate! Were visiting Florida and happened to run into this place after dinner walk. We couldn’t resist the look and smell and ordered 3 cheeses pizza. Even though we were quite full we ate it all! That place just opened and we wish the owners to keep It this way.

Two words: french pizza. This place is amazing. We stumbled upon this place for dinner when trying to go to True but they ran out of food and couldn’t seat us. Lucky for us this gem was just a few steps away. We first take a look at the wine options and I was taken a back for a minute– a BOTTLE of french wine for UNDER20 bucks. Is this real life? It’s a cabernet. It’s 16 bucks. And it’s an amazing value. They also offer it by the glass for 5 each. As far as they food goes everything is homemade. From the sauces to the dressings and nothing from a can. There were several different pizzas I wanted to try but decided on the marguerite which was super flavorful. The 14inch was a perfect size for two people, they also offer 10inch varieties if you wanted to get personal pie. The service was great. Briefly in the night they put these blinding lights on outiside but as another customer complained it was way too bright and they turned the lights off. Great addition to the area and I can’t wait to go back and try some more pizzas!

I ended up at Slice of Provence sort of by accident, but was charmed by the exterior décor and casual bistro-like feel, which caused me to ditch my lunch plans and hop in to try it out. I sat at the bar. The pizzetes, which are certainly more in the French vein of sauceless, lighter-crusted flatbreads with a variety of toppings, looked delicious, so I tried the lunch combo with half of the Nicoise with a side salad. I will say, it was probably one of the freshest pizza/pizzettes I’ve had since I was in Italy two years ago, and the side salad was refreshing and had a nice, subtle dressing on it. Really top notch food. I was very impressed with the quick service too, as I was in and out in less than 25 minutes. The only reason I didn’t give the full five stars is because I agree with another previous review that I should have had metal cutlery and a better napkin(this was just a small paper one.) But other than those minor gripes, I’d be ready to go back any day and take my coworkers as well!
