My experience at this«restaurant» inspired me to create a Unilocal account just so I could share my experience. I ordered the fish tacos and after waiting an absurd amount of time I received virtually no fish and all taco. The fish I did receive tasted like it was scrapped off the corner of the grill and did not meet any kind of standards on par with of any local soFlo taco joints. This place has been on the decline for a number of years from what I hear as all the locals that I know have gradually stopped coming here. It’s cheap but on the same level as late night Taco Bell if not worse. Save that dinero and the stomachache.

I’m extremely impressed with this place. I have lived literally across the street for off and on — five years and never stepped foot inside. The mahi /spinach & steak tacos were absolutely devious. They also have their own yummy salsas — avocado/cilantro and jalapeño… And, the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. I cannot wait to go back! :)))

If it wasn’t for my wife, I’d be eating here daily. Love this place. Everything on the menu is great and the food always tastes fresh. You might have to wait a few minutes but that’s because you can see them making your order from scratch. The JP Burrito or California Burrito are probably the most unique and delicious burritos I’ve ever had.

This is the most authentic Mexican restaurant I’ve been able to find in Boca Raton. The food is inexpensive and delicious! Every sauce at the sauce bar is delicious too. There is not much seating and it is a very casual restaurant.

I really wished I liked this place, but there was nothing special at all about the food we ordered(chicken tacos and cheese taquinos). Both dishes had very little flavor– tacos were literally chunks of chicken on a corn tortilla. The cheese was not even melted in the taquinos. We probably wouldn’t come back. The food was not bad, just can’t recommend it.

Visiting from out of state for a few days and found this under the radar taco place in Boca. We had the Cali burrito the fish and spinach taco the steak taco and chicken tacos. All fresh and good. The also have a small salsa bar which was nice and beer and soda on ice. Basic décor but clean. Really liked the Cali burrito since it had French fries. We will be back !!

I’ve been a regular customer since the first day they opened… prices have increased a little, but still an excellent value. The fish and spinach tacos are my fave, and I rarely stray from this staple — once you try them, you might not either! Sauces are better than you’ll find at any other taco bar. This is truly one of the few local spots that is affordable and consistently delicious!

Taco Prince has the BEST authentic Mexican food in Boca. I don’t understand how this place has only 3 ½ stars. Try their California or JP burrito. Sooo good.

ok so I love this place. If you don’t like this place I want to know why? Honestly is it the fresh ingredients you don’t like? Is it the Mexican Coke with fresh sugar cane? Maybe it’s the local vibe you don’t like? Regardless you are wrong place is great. Ask for the Uncle Marty Special(California Burrito)

OMG the award winning ground beef tacos were delish! The beef mixture was similar to picadillo with rice and beans. O my the sauces were delish as well spicy jalapeño and avocado. Little gem in Boca

I really wanted to fall in love with Taco Prince. After all, it’s a small business, within my hood, around the corner from some of my favorite family owned and operated small speciality restaurants, and they have a parking lot, a rarity in East Boca. I didn’t have a love affair, not even an hour of lust. It was a great disappointment. A flop. A date to forget. I eagerly went there one weekday around 6 pm. They were busy, but not exceedingly so. The order line still seemed to move at a crawl. The guy taking the orders looked angry. Or sad. Or annoyed. He just didn’t look like he wanted to be there. He never said hello. He never nodded. He just stared. I looked at the options, clearly ordering two different types of tacos(one soft, one hard shell), a side order of chips and guac, and noted clearly that I wanted CHICKEN in both orders. I went to the window-view sitting area, sat on a stool, and waited. And waited. And waited. I finally got up, after several orders were prepared and delivered to people who came in after us, and asked«will my order be ready soon?» He glared at me, asked what I ordered, and then shouted something to the guy in the open kitchen preparing the food. I went back to my stool. And waited. More. Finally he calls out«MAX», and I happily go to get the order. Both were MEAT tacos. I said«I asked for chicken», and his reply was«no you didn’t», and my further reply was«I am sorry, but I never eat meat tacos, not does my buddy, I know I asked for chicken». He stared at me. I stared back. After all, this might be East Boca, but I’m from Brooklyn, and I know how to stare a guy down. I return to my stool. By the window. By the counter(which was dirty, but that is another issue). The food finally is ready. The portion size was SMALL. One taco had far less chicken than the other. And it tasted blah. Nothing really juicy or tasty or whatever it should taste like. Just blah. It was an experience which allowed me to get Taco Prince out of my head, and I vowed never to return. And I haven’t. Why 2 stars? 1 star for their parking lot. And 1 star for their icy cold beers. And that’s about it. I waited several months to post the review, as I really did not want to post a 2 star review, but some of my fellow Unilocalers have said«you are slacking on your reviews, Max», and I don’t want to be a slacker. At least I don’t think I do…

I like the steak tacos better than the chicken. Haven’t had much else but it’s pretty bomb. Chips n salsa are good too

My wife and I have always driven by this place but never actually stopped in. We were in and around Mizner and decided to pop in for a light lunch. The overly-opinionated woman at the counter talked me into two more tacos than I originally intended on eating, however she insisted they were small, so I took her up on it. I got the chicken and my wife the beef. I couldn’t believe how bland my meal was. My tacos reminded me of an episode of Portlandia they were that uneventful and uninspiring. The chicken wasn’t even marinated. How in the name of modern restauranteering do you not marinate a meat, especially at a Mexican restaurant? There was a little more flavor to my wife’s meal, but nothing that knocked me out of my chair. We absorbed the hit and couldn’t wait to put Taco Prince in the rearview mirror. Or so we thought… As the afternoon progressed, I began to feel funny. Not haha Richard Pryor funny, but stomach felt awful to the point where I had to lay down for several hours(so like a Carlos Mencia funny). It didn’t feel like a cold coming on or anything, but something wasn’t right. I had no appetite for dinner and opted to lay in bed and try and continue to try and sleep it off. It wasn’t going away. And unfortunately the only place ‘it’ was going was into the toilet. My Seinfeld-esque vomit-free streak came to a violent end. No joke, I had to continually flush the toilet in-between purges it was coming up that frequently. Now, given that it was the only meal that I ate that day, I can confidently say something didn’t go right in the kitchen at Taco Prince that day. It took a week for me to get my appetite back and not walk around feeling nauseous. If you’re looking for a quick taco meal in Boca, I’m sure Rocco’s Tacos will satisfy your needs. If you’re looking to drop a few pounds and start your post-vacation detox off on the right foot, I recommend Taco Prince on South Federal Highway in Boca Raton.

Yuck. Overpriced. Smells like cleaning agent inside. Salsa bar has no flavor. So many other options in the area, choose else where. Ordered traditional style soft tacos, came with only one corn tortilla, when it should come with two. Fish had no flavor. Pork had no flavor. Cilantro and onions were blah as well.

I finally tried this out for lunch a couple of weeks ago after driving by it a million times. It always looked not too appealing from the outside but after reading some good reviews I decided to try it. I’m pretty happy I did. Totally casual counter order taco shop. Decent prices, glad to not pay a ton of $ for tacos for once! I had the two fish tacos. Nice soft tortillas & I was told the fish was Mahi, which tasted good. The tacos are SMALL but it was the perfect bite for me with a side of chips & salsa. I like the small salsa bar & the vibe was nice & relaxed. Seems a college place since I was asked for my ID when ordering a Corona… That was sweet :) Service was friendly. Nothing special which is why I gave 3 stars but nothing wrong either. Oh yea, prices on Listed on their site are incorrect. I think everything is like a couple $s more than posted.

Where to start. Well first off, this place is in a great location. Right at the heart of Meizner Park. Parking is awful as there are only very few spots to park. The positive aspects of this place: Location Cleanliness They have Mexican Coca Cola! Negative: Food is awful(I tried every taco on their menu, I like to experience food so I went to this place twice, both times the tacos were not seasoned, meat was dry, just all around awful) Chef needs to learn how to season his meats, he has no idea what seasoning is. Parking is awful, few parking spots. Salsa bar 0⁄10 — Salsa seems to have been there for ages and tastes old. FYI — Most reviews here are old hence them saying that the tacos are 2 for $ 4, they’re 2 for $ 6.

It’s about as authentic as you can get in this area. Very inexpensive and tasty. Extremely friendly staff. This place reminds me of many of the taco shops that replaced our hot dog stands back home in Chicago. I’ll be back for sure.

Just had dinner here, food was amazing, came out very quickly, and the gentleman that assisted me was very polite. I would definitely recommend going there, as I’ll be going again. I got the California burrito, the only negative was at a Mexican restaurant charges for chips as you wait for your meal. Definitely great for lunch or dinner any day of the week.

Every now and then I’ll find myself craving tacos and I’m too lazy to make them or don’t want to go buy what I need for my wife to make them. In that case I’ll come to Taco Prince as it is fairly close to me. It is a small, simple no frills joint which I can appreciate. Their tacos are decent. Not the best and not the worst. I always go with the soft steak with onions and cilantro. I usually get chips and salsa and a Jarritos soda. It takes a little time to get your order as they make it fresh. This is nice and definitely appreciated I always bring my own hot sauce and load it on the tacos. The chips are consistently fresh and the salsa is OK flavor wise. It reminds me of canned chunky salsa actually. In summary Taco Prince is OK, nothing more and nothing less. It fixes my taco cravings that I get from time to time and that’s about it.
