I was at Tijuana Flats for Throwback Thursdaze. I got a delicious beef and bean barrito, chips, and a drink for $ 5.99. For an extra dollar I upgraded my drink to a draft beer. The food was delicious and the chips tasted fresh. They have lots of other specials including Tijuana Tuesdaze when two tacos, chips, and a drink are $ 5.49. I’ve eaten their tacos and they were very good. I want to go back for Happy Hour when drinks and appetizers are discounted. Their beans are vegetarian and lard free. They have a sauce bar with a large selection of sauces. They range from mild to very hot. Their menu is large with most of the traditional Mexican foods listed. This is sort of a fast food Mexican restaurant. You order and pay for your food at the desk where you come in. You find a place to sit, and a few minutes later a server brings your food. They sell beer, wine, and sangria. They list calories for food and drinks on their menu, and on the menu on their web page. That’s really helpful for me, since I’m trying to eat healthy.

It’s not the best — it’s not the worst. I feel like the food quality has slipped a little since franchising out. The original locations up in central Florida seem to be a little more on point.

Tijuana Flats is a great chain restaurant. It is hard to find a good Mexican restaurant, but they are really good. I love their tacos, the crunchy kind with beef. During happy hour, draft beer is $ 1.00 a glass, a great deal. And happy hour lasts a long time at Tijuana Flats. The tortilla chips are wonderful combined with taco sauce from an extensive sauce bar. Tacos and sauce with a dollar beer is a great combination for happy hour. I love to go to Tijuana Flats anytime. All their locations are pretty consistent and equally good. I would recommend stopping by Tijuana Flats whenever you would like a quick bite of quality Mexican food.

This place is simply amazing, the food is delicious and the service is exceptional. The location is really cool full of lights and colors really clean and is a great restaurant for kids too. The best part of this place are the many different salsas they have they are the best, the only way to improve them is giving bigger containers to serve them. We will definitely come back!

This location just seems to be very average to me. I work in the area and when they first opened I was super excited to have another restaurant that offers quick service for lunch and dinner. My first experience with food quality was pretty bad at this place, but since has stepped up. Recently, I just stopped for lunch and had a very average at best meal. My two tacos were lukewarm and very greasy, as well as the rice which seemed to be quite old and not very tasteful. While Tijuana Flat’s is far superior to fast food taco joints, I find this location very average and is the reason why I don’t frequent to Tijuana Flats as much as I used to.

My family tried Tijuana Flats recently for dinner. Manager greeted us as we entered, and asked if we had been there before. We stated we had not. He explained ordering. We ordered 2 Norrita bowls. 1 steak, 1 carnitas, and 1 quesadilla. The rice in the Norrita bowls was dry & crunchy. I asked(and waited in an empty restaurant-1st clue) for the Manager. He apologized and took the plates away and reordered fresh bowls for us. We waited some more… The fresh bowls came out and the rice was soft this time. The Mgr. apologized again and gave us his business card for 2 free entrees. I returned 2 weeks later to take advantage of the free entrees to go this time. We ordered the same Norrita bowls to compare to our 1st experience. The young lady in front was polite and explained hot sauce bar to me.(Mgr/staff never expld. to us 1st time. We sat in front and never saw it).Once again, dry, crunchy rice. Once, a mistake. Second time, bad food. We will not return.

Normally I would give Flats 4 stars but last two visits were less than spectacular. Tonite there were ants on the hot sauce bar and when I told staff I was dismissed. We got the $ 2 Tacos and we ordered 7 tacos for 3 adults. We also got my daughter the kids meal which is well priced. With Mexican food choices on 3 of the 4 corners of 441 and Glades, all restaurants need to step it up.

Stopped in for a late lunch flying solo… I can always count on fast friendly service as well as a tasty meal here. I opted for the large chicken burrito today which was pretty good. Everything that I have had here has been good and I love the sauce bar. I’m already thinking about what I am going to get the next time time I visit.

Prior to coming to FL I had never heard of Tijuana Flats. But I was craving Mexican and this came up in a Unilocal search. I’m really glad it did, too. For starters, the staff was friendly, very helpful, and super quick. I see some people here mentioned their food took awhile to come out. I think for a place where the food is made to order, the wait time is fair. We only waited about ten minutes for our food and we had free chips & salsa to munch on in the meantime(but maybe it takes longer if you call in an order?). When the food did come out it was delicious. I got a beef chimichanga and my husband got a blackened chicken soft taco. Both were fresh and well seasoned. Honestly we assumed the food would be mediocre since TF is a chain. We were both pretty blown away by how good the food was. I especially liked the fact that they used fresh jalapeños instead of pickled ones. I don’t know if it’s just this location or what, but really everything was awesome. The only thing that I thought was«just okay» was the sangria. But even then I would order it again. As for the price, the bill was much cheaper than we expected. When I started writing this review I gave TF4 stars. But then I re-read what I wrote and realized they didn’t give me any reason to knock off a star. Everything was great, especially for the price. So 5 stars it is and I hope it stays that way! Overall it was a great experience and we would definitely come back.

I love coming here. This is better than Taco Bell ANY day. I never eat at Taco Bell anyway. It’s located on the west side of 441, just north of Glades in the Mission Bay Plaza. It’s near the gas station and Bank of America. I think I’ve lost count as to how many times I’ve been here. The past few times I’ve come here, I’ve made it a point to order something different every time. I’ve had the chicken Tijuana burritos. I alternate between flour and whole wheat tortillas. I always get them with everything and wet with their queso sauce. Then, I top it with the«Smack My Ass and Call Me Sally» hot sauce. I love it. I’ve had the dos enchiladas with everything, along with some other hot sauces(that I can’t recall right now). I’ve had their chimichangas. I like to order their banana empanadas. They come with a caramel sauce. They’re amazing and addictive. I might or might not eat all of them by myself. I love their bangin’ chicken burrito. It comes with crispy chicken, «Smack My Ass Bangin’ Chicken» sauce, grilled onions, green peppers, tomatoes, cheese, and ranch dressing. It’s also really good. They have a hot sauce bar. You can fill up the little to-go containers or you can buy a bottle to take home. The food is always cooked properly. They also have an online ordering system, but I’ve never used it before. The employees are amazing. They’re always friendly and professional. They’re fast and check on you often, even if you ordered takeout. The staff is extremely easygoing. You already know the experience is going to be great when you step in here. That’s why they get five stars because not only is the food great, but the employees go above and beyond when it comes to customer service. Excellent location. If you’re in the area, go check them out.

Another hungover Sunday morning and I didn’t feel like talking to anyone or waiting for anything so I saw online ordering and decided to go for it. I had been meaning to try this place but never got around to it. Ordered the atom bombs, dip trio, a chicken burrito and some beef tacos for the husband, and a pork chimi and a chicken quesadilla for myself. Drove over and walked in, order was paid for and ready to go, and I grabbed one little cup of each of the ridiculous array of hot sauces to go. The atom bombs were a little weird but not bad, like Mexican egg rolls or something. All the food was tasty, cooked well, safe and not too crazy spicy, and the hot sauces were great. Good value too.

Chicken burrito was soaked in butter and tortilla was thick and gummy, wasn’t a fan. Manager is cool though

Went here for the much talked about Taco Tuesday. On Tuesdays you can get two tacos, chips, and a drink for around $ 6. What really sets this place apart from some of the other casual mexican fast food places is the service. The employees are always very friendly. Check out the hot sauce bar. They have some really good sauces. You are sure to find a few you will like.

A step above your average Tex-Mex or Mexican fast casual restaurant. The food at Tijuana Flats is tasty, and reasonably priced. Taco Tuesday is a good deal with two tacos, chips and a drink for around $ 5. It’s a nice size portion meal that will easily fill you up. I’m a big fan of the tacos here in general, as well as the nachos and chips they serve. They are perfectly salted and crispy, and the queso sauce is a nice dip for them. They also have a hot sauce bar with a lot of sauces ranging from sweet to really hot there. Some items I was upset by are the quesadillas here, as they aren’t crunchy or very tasty at all. And that is a shame, because quesadillas are one of my favorite Mexican dishes, yet very rare for places to make them well. Also the dessert of churros was sub-par and too sweet to enjoy. It is very clear that the employees are trained well, as from start to finish the service here really goes out of their way to give you a good experience. When you walk in the door, most times there is someone there to hand you a menu and explain the specials. The atmosphere of Tijuana Flats is where it shines and stands out from amongst the other places similar to it. Most places that serve Mexican in a fast casual dining experience like this have a sterile look, but here they have a very hip look with spray painting on the walls with tons of vibrant color. It is impossible not to drawn to the design of the place and appreciate it. It is also very clean, even the hot sauce bar is kept clean, despite that people can pour the sauce themselves. For fast casual dining, Tijuana Flats has spunk, and that is what draws me to it and keeps me coming back over the more generic corporate brands. Food(B+), Pricing(C+), Atmosphere(A-), Service(B+)

So I had been out of the United States for 7 months. I live in Paris and I was in Boca for three weeks on business. One of my first orders of business was to have my first taco in a very long time. Not only did I have incredibly attentive and helpful service, but the manager said, «Welcome back, let me buy your tacos.» I felt so special and valued and I had never heard of Tijuana Flats prior to this visit but rest assured I will be back whenever I am in the area. Thanks guys! Incredible hot sauce bar. Worth the price of admission alone.

Best Tijuana Flats there is hands down. Service is perfect. You come in and you are instantly greeted with your order taken all under a few minutes. Food is piping hot and comes out very quickly. Speed and service here are just top notch. Manager stopped by and checked in on our food and asked us if we needed refills. Overall probably the greatest, cleanest, friendliest Tijuana Flats out there!

I love this place! Now I am generally not a big fan of chain restaurants, but this place is different. They have a nice variety of delicious Mexican style food; a hot sauce bar; a decent beer selection; and it is fairly priced. The staff here is extremely friendly and seem to really go out of their way to make sure you are covered when it comes to drink refills and cleanup. The best buy is the Taco Tuesday, which is a bargain for $ 5 and includes 2 huge tacos, chips and drink. Try the bean and chicken taco… yum! However, don’t wait for a Tuesday to try it, as any day is a good day for this food.

Go on Taco Tuesday! 2 tacos and a drink with chips for 4.99! The staff here is top notch and provide amazing customer service. Friendly faces and always welcoming. I LOVE the chimichangas! Go for steak and«make it wet» with queso.
