I should have listened to my sixth sense which said to turn around and walk out. The first thing I noticed was a large sign on the desk stating that All Customer Complaints should be emailed in. You have to wonder about a business that feels the need to post such a sign right up front. I turned in one men’s shirt to be dry cleaned. The second item was a sports top with a small rip in the side. I asked that it be mended but NOT dry cleaned. I stated this at least 2 or 3 times as it is washable and already clean. The check in girl’s English wasn’t that great but it seemed like she understood me and she repeated that it would not be dry cleaned. A week later my husband picked the two items up and they had dry cleaned the sports top. Now this is not that big of a deal expense wise, an extra $ 10, but for me, it was the principle of the matter. The guy at the desk was polite and said he would pass my message on to the manager, asking her to call me to resolve this problem. I asked for her name but he said he couldn’t give it out. Now that is strange, not to even give the name of the manager to a customer. Of course, she never called and of course, I will never use this cleaner again.

A VERY disappointing experience with a truly upsetting outcome!!! I sent my wedding gown to them to be cleaned and preserved and they LOST it and never called to tell me. We felt confident in sending my dress to them because when my mom and I originally called them to get all of the details about how it works they promised they do everything on the premises and that my gown would not leave their location except for the pick and delivery back to me. And the designer shop where I purchased my dress even recommended them. It had been 6 months and we hadn’t heard from them so my mom called to see where my dress was and after not getting a straight answer for over two weeks an employee at the store finally got back to her and told her sorry but your daughter’s dress is lost and FedEx cannot find. Not only did the owner initially not call us herself but the dress apparently had been sent off premises to be cleaned without our prior knowledge or permission. And when we tracked it using the tracking info that Wooven gave to us it said the dress had been missing since MARCH31st and no one said a word to us. It never even made it to wherever they were sending it to be cleaned and 6 months later we had no idea this even happened since no one had the decency to call us. I chose not to sell my designer wedding gown for sentimental reasons. And now I will never ever see my dress again. I am grateful that they paid us in full for the dress that they lost but I cannot understand why they waited for us to call them 6 months later to tell us my dress was gone. Accidents happen and the fact that FedEx(or so they claim) lost my dress is not their fault but it is their fault that they waited 6 months to tell me it had been lost since March. Really upsetting :(

I had been using the Yamato location for dry cleaning and always enjoyed talking to the girl that worked there. In April I picked up my Eileen Fisher sweater set from Wooven — hung it in my closet on the hangers it came on– and then had to leave on emergency to take care of my mom having her leg amputated out of state. Once back to work, I wore the sweater set and I noticed the armpits on the tank part of the set had really been stretched out and the bottom of the tank was much lower than the sweater part but left for work with it on. Once at work everyone kept asking me if it was raining outside as I walked by them — when I asked why they said that they said to look at my sweater in the mirror. There were greasy looking spots all over the back of it. When I got a day off(I work 6 days and they close before I get home), I took it back to the cleaners and the nice girl that was always there was no longer there. When I asked where she was, the new girl, Mindy, had no idea who I was talking about and acted as if there was never anyone there prior to her. When I explained what happened to my clothes, I was reprimanded by Mindy that I’d waited too long but that she would talk to her manager(on my suggestion), and see what they could do. Mindy called me a few days later to say they would not stand by whatever they’d done to ruin my clothes and to come and pick up my things. When I went to pick up, Mindy said I had nothing there– no record of it. Then I had to tell her that I could see it hanging behind a corner. She retrieved it and I’d then asked who I could contact to discuss this further due to the stretched out tank and the spots on the jacket part. She told me that it was stretched out because I left it on the hanger and that was NOT their fault.(Yet the sweater/jacket part was not stretched out) and that the grease spots were not something that they did either she said. I am 100% they did this or I would not be reviewing this on Unilocal. She rudely pointed to two rows of cards on her countertop. I said which one has the contact information– she said«all of them» never offering to assist me — I then told her that I do not see a name on any card and would like to have that– she said«ELENA» is the name — I then asked for Elena’s last name. Mindy said that no only could she NOT spell Elena’s last name, she could not SAY it either… and gave me a look that said«get out». I smiled in disbelief at the rudeness of this girl and unprofessionalism of her and the business. They advertise the«best dry cleaner on earth?» — I’ve had bad experiences with«Boca’s BEST Dry Cleaners» ruining my clothes and thought if I paid top dollar, I’d have a better experience at Wooven — it’s just as HORRIBLE as Boca’s BEST!!! Excellence and quality??? Not here!!! Mindy needs to be working at a gas station!

I have had such a horrible experience with this company. I would recommend not sending anything expensive to them. First off all the clothes I sent, none of them came back very clean. Second off, is the most horrifying experience I’ve had with a dry cleaner. I sent them my Frette Couture($ 4200) bedspread to them because it had a spill on it. When it came back, it looked like it had just been folded. The spill was still there. So I sent it back to get cleaned and showed them exactly where it was when I gave it to them. Next time I got it back, The spill was gone and in its place was 3 large burn marks. I couldn’t believe they handed this back to me in this condition without saying anything! I then called them to see what they could do to fix it. They made me send it back to them, even though I sent them pictures, as proof of what happened. Then they decided to «fix it» and sewed the burn holes together. They couldn’t understand why I was upset over this«fix» that they did without even asking me. Then I provided the receipt for the item so that I could replace it. Their offer to me in return? $ 300. It wasn’t even a tenth of what I paid for it. All in all, it took around 6 months for this to get straightened out and with a $ 300 check and a $ 300 credit to which I will never use because why would I trust my things with them again? If you trust them with your expensive things, just know you may end up with burn holes and nothing close to what it costs to replace it. This was a completely disappointing experience.
