I’ve been going to Andy’s for about a dozen years. Not terribly convenient in terms of location but TBH it’s got some of the best global draft beers and wonderful regional IPAs in these parts(northern NJ). Not terribly large either and parking is a bit of a hassle to be truthful. Maybe spots for 10 at the bar and five tables. No television allowed(love it) — after all you’re going to relax and chill and maybe strike up a conversation. Choice of beers on tap is always sensational and they’ve got some of the deepest selection of German and Belgium beers that are impossible to find around here. Run, don’t walk if you’re a beer aficionado and want to step up your game.

Came to the annual Troegs Tap takeover. Like always, it was a great crowd of true beer lovers, the Troegs staff was there to chat and hand out giveaways, and the quality beer flowed. George poured some great beers including Mad Elf, two scratch batches, and my favorite Nugget Nectar! Plus, since Andy’s is one of the oldest true craft beer bars around, they bring one of the only NJ distributed casks of nugget nectar as well! Thanks for a great time as always !

Small spot in jersey we went to on the fly. The owner George is awesome the beers are great and ice cold. Not to mention he gives free chips to munch on while we’re there.

The place is a little on the small side but cozy. It’s more of a bar for locals but the 4 stars is because they have on cask which not a lot of places have. Locals get pizza from the pizzeria next door which I thought was pretty cool. Extensive bottled craft beer selection about 10 on tap and 1 on cask

This is the best beer bar in the area! George, the owner and usually the bartender, is a beer expert and can recommend a beer to suit your taste. If they don’t have something on tap that you like(which they usually do since there is a wide variety of styles), you can definitely find something in the case which has probably a hundred more rare and unique beers. The taps turn over a lot so you can try something different every time and the kegs are always fresh. They have a 100 beer club, and with the case full of at least that many plus the constantly rotating taps, you really could try that many different beers in a year! Check their Facebook for a list of what’s on right now, plus news about events and tap takeovers. The atmosphere is pretty basic, just clean and classic and dim with no frills. There is a jukebox and a tv, but I’d rather strike up a conversation with any of the characters at the bar. Overall, this is the best place in the area that you can go to drink beer.

Andy’s corner bar was really great. It had a large array of different age groups and was actually pretty crowded on a tuesday night. The bar feels like an Irish Pub gone classy. The craft beers are always a MAJOR plus to the place. not many small bars in the area offer a decent selection of craft brews. The bartender was really great, super friendly. They don’t do food here as an FYI but they put a pretzel on each beer which I thought was a really cool touch to the place. The inside of the place is much nicer than you’re initially anticipating. Really nice dark wood bar, and just the right amount of space for a pit stop or an all night enjoyment with the crowd. Keep in mind this bar is meant for you to go an enjoy your company, like you would of a decade or 2 ago. It has one small TV that wasn’t even on and a music juke to play music from. Come here, grab a beer, put down your phone, and enjoy your company. I’ll be back soon.

The local bar has a decent line up of beers on tap. Other than that the place is flat. Filled with locals trying to fill there beer lists(One patron hit is 100th beer… impressive, more impressive this dude drank 100 beers in this joint, really). TV wasn’t on. No music, probably the oddest atmosphere I’ve seen in a bar. The atmosphere ruined everything about the beer.

This is truly a bar. They don’t sell food, I’ve never noticed a tv. I come here with friends to have conversations, and if I’m waiting the bartenders are friendly and have a quick chat while I’m waiting. The beer selection changes frequently, and they have a sheet where you can try many types of beers and leave it there if you’re a regular.

First off, this place isn’t on a corner. It’s a friendly, neighborhood beer bar, with a good selection of craft beers. The atmosphere is nicer than a dive bar, but it’s not pretentious either. I heard about this place from my cousin, and he had mentioned something about the 100 beer club, where you drink 100 different beers in a year. I thought that this meant the bar would have 100 taps. In reality, there are something like 7 taps that are changed often so you can check off the beer from your club card. That would make it pretty difficult to hit all 100 beers if they aren’t readily available. The bartender was nice and I like that the beer came with a pretzel, but other than that, this bar didn’t stand out much.

Great beer. Taps rotate often and George keeps everyone updated on what’s there so the geeks can get their beer on. Great crowd, great ambiance, great looking bar. You can always tell when someone doesn’t two craps about their place and you don’t even get a scent of that at Andy’s. My most favorite place to grab a drink. P. s. great bourbons too!

Great craft beer choices. Very simple casual great place for drinks. Love the pretzel touch. Wish they had food though. But you can bring your own food to eat with. Many run across the street to Seven Eleven for snacks.

I never thought I would find true love… And of all places in Bogota, NJ. That’s how I feel when it comes to ANDY’S CORNERBAR. If you’re a beer lover, you will feel like home at this place. If you’re not a beer lover… Trust me, you will become a beer lover and this place will become your new home away from home. What makes ANDY’S amazing is not only the constant change of beers, thus bringing you a new array of beers each week — but it’s the bartender /owner George! This man is a true beer and bourbon lover; he’s also a man with a wealth of knowledge, especially when it comes to beer trivia, travel and experiences. On top of that, he’s almost like a mind-reader! He will know exactly what kind of beer would best follow up each previous one, and he knows what spirit would pair best with your beer(ex. Lion stout with a shot of Widow Jane Bourbon… Phenomenal!). Andy’s doesn’t look like anything fancy from the outside — but the people, the host with the most, and the bevy of amazing beers you will find inside, is truly magical :)

Great place for beer lovers, and my inlaws’ favorite bar in the world. In fact, I am pretty sure my husband’s parents go to Andy’s multiple times per week and they are always discovering new beers there and recommending them to us. They are also proud to have received recognition for their beer drinking prowess with their names on a placard on the wall — apparently drinking a certain amount of unique beers over a year period earns regular customers a plaque on the wall — fun! They hand out checklists so you can track your progress. I wish a bar near me did this. Pretzels come with the beers, and there seems to be little snacks like chips or popcorn available as well. It is a cute cozy little place, and they have a regular beer menu and a chalkboard with rotating specials. The owner seems very knowledgeable and very excited about his beers. I have been here three times so far and always look forward to going back when I find myself up in the Dirty Jerz! If you are a fan of craft/unique beers this is definitely a place you want to check out.

I was introduced to Andy’s corner bar approximately one month ago by a good friend. He described it as a small bar stocked with constantly changing craft beer. Although it sounded somewhat interesting, I admit I did not expect this establishment to become one of my new dive bars to frequent in 2015. As it turns out this place is about as unique as it gets. First off, it is BYOF(Bring your own food). While at first this may sound a bit strange, in actuality it seems Andy’s has acquired a bit of a cult following among its customers. Last Friday I stopped in after work for a few beers and there was actually a group of people celebrating a birthday who had brought a cake, along with several homemade appetizers and entrées! It was quite the site and it looked like they were having a very good time celebrating. They also have menus for local restaurants that routinely deliver your food right to the bar if desired. George, the owner(son of Andy) is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to beer. He is constantly rotating kegs of approximately 10 craft beers. Last time I was there he mentioned that he had changed three beers on the whiteboard in the last 24 hours. They are listed on a dry erase board for you to choose from; tasting prior to ordering is encouraged. In addition to the whiteboard beers there is a large selection of craft beer and micro-brew beer by the bottle in the rear of the bar. A popular activity at this bar is the annual Try-100-beers-at-Andy’s club(well, that what I’m calling it). Basically, you receive a stiff, 8.5×11 tracking card with a grid of commonly offered beers at the bar and on the flip side there is a blank grid for you to write in manually any beers that were not pre-typed on the front of the card. Whenever you order a new beer you write it in or highlight it on the card and when you leave you have the bartender initial as proof. If you reach 100 beers by the end of the year your name will appear on the plaque at the end of the bar. Last Friday, I started one! The constantly changing beers offered are generally of very high quality and are not to be compared to the likes of Miller’s Alehouse. Also, every beer ordered comes with a large pretzel on a skewer in the glass… A welcome addition, sure to help you populate that grid with an extra beer or two… Just remember these beers are sure to intoxicate you rapidly when compared to typical beer. Andy’s Corner Bar is small, but not cramped, with a good energy about it. The customer base seems to be generally working-class people of solid character with a dash of hipster here and there. Customers range widely in age from late-20s on. I plan on making the 100 beer club this year and predict I will be stopping in at least twice a month for 2015. 4-stars pushed to 5-stars for a unique dive bar establishment in Bergen County With good beer and good people.

Perhaps a misnomer, as this place is situated a few doors in form the corner, Andy’s is a welcoming place for a selection of local microbrews that will not be found anywhere else. The atmosphere is divey, but clean and well maintained. The staff are very friendly, and eager to enlighten regarding the craft beers on offer. In addition to several regional and local microbrews on draught, they also include a few cask conditioned which are almost always a pleasant choice. The only detractor on my last visit was a lingering haze of cheap cigar smoke. There was no smoking in the bar(by NJ law), but one or two of the patrons chose to ignore this, and it was not addressed by the staff.

BYOF(Food that is) Each of these beer served with a hard pretzel on a stick. Palette cleanser boom. Beers on tap are really awesome. You dont run into the run of the mill«craft» beer that some dive bars put out. You get random unadulterated beer fueled greatness. Also the bottle selection is pretty awesome. They had a good array so you could find a beer for any person. From blondes and wheats, to sours and stouts. It had everything across the board. This place is pretty cool to meet up with a couple friends. Bring a deck or cards and a couple snacks and just hang.

I shall finish the list, and have my name on their plaque someday! George is the perfect bartender. He makes sure everyone gets home safe, free drinks on him at times(so tip well) and very knowledgable about his drinks. Great selection of draft beer, along 2 – 3 fridges of other bottled premium craft brews next to it. Bring Your Own Food — with a pizzeria next door. Wish that the pizzeria opened past 10, but I guess people gotta get home and take care of their families too. Fair prices. Good prices. Beer Lover’s delight in Bogota. Only wish they were open on Sundays.

From the exterior, I would think this dive only served Bud and Coors, but I was pleasantly surprised to find there was a great selection of craft brews. Andy’s has a rotating draft selection as well as a case towards the back with plenty of other choices, both in and out of season. The bartender, George, is extremely knowledgable about the beers he has in stock. He even knew that the brewery for the beer he had suggested had moved from Harrisburg to Hershey, PA. He let me sample a few different beers, and ultimately made the perfect recommendation based on what I had described I wanted(which might I add is somewhat difficult as I am a girl after all) I loved each beer is served with a pretzel. Not only did I think it was cute, but also was perfect as I like to snack whilst I am drinking.

Pros: Rotating draft selection, tons of bottles(in and out of season), cozy, decent location, welcoming owner, free pretzels Cons: most of the people We came on a Saturday night, there was a mix of groups and couples, varying ages. We were stared at and pointed at by 3 people for the 2 hours we were there, they looked like dick heads. Possible reasons for their staring: they are dickheads or put $ 200 into the jukebox that was behind us and they were pointing everytime a new song came on; my bet is the former. Besides that, everything was cool, it’s got a small town vibe, alot of tables and it’s a BYOF, people brought trays of snacks and stuff. Drink Local!
