Been here many times and I’m glad they are closing. It’s a slow night and it’s been an hour and 10 mins since we ordered and still no food. It was the same last time we came here 1 month ago. HORRIBLE. Waitress said only 1 cook and big parties. I didn’t see big parties and I’d like to be advised if there’s only one cook in the kitchen.

Kim is the coolest, smartest, wisest, sassiest, bad ass person I ever wanted to forget her name. Can’t do it. Let her order your food and drinks. She will be better at it than you. GOKIM!!!

We hiked Military reserve today so Bens Crow inn is a must! This is where we usually go after every Splash of Life church event we have every year or when we do bike ride at Lucky peak. This is a bar but they have a nice patio outside for families. We come because of the clams pretty much & the oyster shots. It’s nicer now that there’s a net covering because they were tons of flies before haha. We just like the laid back simple style of this place, nothing fancy. Sad they gonna close this year! We probably make it up & come back here as much as we can!

Enjoyed this place over the weekend. Thinking of moving to the area and am sad to hear its closing. It’s a total dive, but if you like dives, you would like this place. The clams were good and the beer was cold.

Somewhat quaint, but it was quiet, and a bit out of the way. If you are tired of the hustle & bustle of the downtown, make the trip. I had their renowned cheese burger & fries with a side salad. The burger was definitely tasty and filling. The salad was the same as every other Boise establishment that tries to make a salad in the winter without fresh garden veggies. Not sure what kind of seasoning was on the fries, but they were good. My friend had the oysters and I thought he was going to have an orgasm. He’s had them there before, but said they’ve gotten better.

Ben’s Crow Inn has been a Boise staple for decades. If you’re headed to or from Lucky Peak, this is where you stop. Steamer clams, finger steaks, great burgers, and ice cold beer are served roadhouse style, which I can dig. If you’re looking for white linens, pressed uniforms, an extensive wine list, and haute cuisine… go downtown. If you’re out Southeast way looking for an honest meal, a laid back atmosphere, friendly service, and a lack of pretentiousness, it’s really hard to beat the Crow.

Bad food in a dirty restaurant. Three of us went, since we were out in the Crow Inn neck of the woods. Our table was sticky with something on the surface, and flies were buzzing around. Two of us got the regular salad, which was nothing more than plain chopped iceberg — nothing else. My $ 9.99 fish and chips entrée was two lonely small pieces of white fish very darkly cooked in the fryer and dumped alone onto a plate — ugh! Another of our group got the steamers — Ben’s claim to fame. They were overdone and rubbery. Wish i could give them a zero.

Bucket of clans were good. Service was horrible. Show up an hour before you’re hungry, because that’s how long you’ll wait before your food arrives. We stopped by on the way home from camping in the North Fork and thought we should stop in since it had been a few years since our last visit. As soon as we sat down(near the back by the kitchen) the table across from us was asking the waitress where their food was. The cook in the back yelled«hell, I don’t know». We were hungry, so we took our chances and stayed. Hamburger was dry and the finger steaks were just ok. There were only 5 tables full and we were all waiting for food. It’s probably a great place to go just for beer and to be left alone. The waitress was a lot friendlier when we got the tab and was ready to leave. I heard that there was new ownership which may have been the problem.

This place is great! I especially love the patio seating and steak fingers. Also like the beer on tap. Everyone is friendly and the service is great. Fun place to relax, grab some food and a beer with friends :)

Fun for family and kids of any ages!!! When the kids are out playing by the stream or on the makeshift base ball playground adults can sit back relax and have a nice cold beverage. Sadly the food fell flat to the laid back atmosphere. This dive is a summer treasure that I urge all to come and enjoy. If you are planing to dine here during our. Frigid winter months I would urge you to wait the inside is musty and can bece very chaotic at times!!!

One of our favorite places for clams and finger steaks! Great service and great food! They have a great patio for summer outdoor dinning! If you are looking for fancy, don’t stop! Great place!

It’s a bar. You know that before you even walk through the door. My expectations and review are based on this assumption. Some on here have called it a dive bar, but I don’t think so. It’s certainly not even remotely fancy, but I have been in true«dive» bars and this place deserves a better adjective than that. The menu is small, but that’s ok. Did I mention it was a bar? I know this place is known for fried seafood and steak fingers, but I ordered the cheeseburger. It’s plenty big at 1⁄3 pound. Served with steak fries and mayonnaise. i got the ½ 1⁄2 option which was supposed to be ½ salad and ½ fries. They looked like full portions to me, so that’s was a good choice. The fries were hot and decent for what they were. The salad was plain but that’s ok. The cheeseburger was good for a plain cheeseburger. It came with onions, salad, and pickle toppings(to add as you see fit). Nothing special about it but it was good and there’s nothing wrong with a straight up cheeseburger. Yes, it’s a bar. The servers were very friendly. I liked the folks I saw here. I think they get their fair share of «regulars» at Ben’s Crow Inn and that is probably one of the reasons their customers come back. They treat you like the friendly, neighborhood bar that it is. Is it the best food ever? No. Is it good value and did I enjoy my meal? Absolutely. Would I eat here again? Sure. Are the people friendly and is it a comfortable place? Sure. It’s a bar and if you are looking for a beer and a satisfying casual meal with that context in mind(or even just a beer), give ‘em a try.

This is a solid place for large-scale brewer beer taps and barfood, particularly if you’re coming back from the lake late in the evening. Dumpy place, fun vibe, Nice jukebox, and a sandbox with tractors for kids to play off of the patio outback.

Don’t drive too fast, you might just miss this place. I was told these were the best clams in Idaho and when i looked for reviews(3 posts) i was very interested. The last post was about a year ago. Anyways, i took my boss’ advice and tried it out. I don’t know what an amazing clam is supposed to taste like, but I’m sure they got it right here. The clams are cooked perfectly and the butter and cocktail sauce they provide, just makes it taste so much bettThe steak fingers

So disappointed! Every spring & summer my husband and I look forward to heading up to the Crow Inn, sitting on the patio, sharing a bucket of clams and a pitcher of beer. We were very disappointed in our visit last night. First our pitcher of beer. When it was delivered to our table, the foam on top was covered with something that looked like ash or dirt, and there was also a small hair on there! We got a new pitcher, drank it half way down and discovered what looked like MOLD on the inside of the pitcher. Now I know this place isn’t known for it’s pristine cleanliness, but basic healthy standards need to be in place! Then our bucket of clams… Tiny little buckets now with tiny little clams. What? What happened to the nice clams that you used to serve? We got a smaller portion, smaller clams, but not a smaller price! My salad was large chunks of ice-burg lettuce just kind of thrown into a bowl with some slivers of carrots mixed in, thankfully the ranch dressing was still really good. Service was horribly slow(even though they had plenty of staff on hand). No one EVER checked on us, not once unless we called them over(to complain about our beer twice). I had to finally go to the bar to pay our bill(which thankfully removed the charge for the moldy beer). Sadly, we will be ending our spring and summer tradition of heading out to the Crow Inn. Our experience last night pretty much ruined it for good. And where we used to encourage friends to go out there, we will now share this story and discourage them.

I really wanted to like it. Unfortunately it was just really overpriced for what you paid(in my opinion). FYI, they have a «daily special», but both times that we have gone, they have always been out of it and we then had to order more expensive food. On the plus side, they give you a discount for paying in cash. Kind of a neat atmosphere and location.

My wife and I have always loved the Crow Inn, but the last time we went we got the mozzarella sticks and steak fingers, which were okay. Later that night my wife claimed she felt nauseous, and about 30 minutes later was vomiting. About an hour later I also stared to feel sick, but figured it was a placebo from watching her. That wasn’t it, we both spent the rest of the night vomiting. In a nutshell, we got food poisoning.
