How fun! This place isn’t too hard to find– just look out for the little parking lot. As its name suggests, this site preserves what remains of the Oregon Trail that went through Boise. The path is not long enough for a hike, but it is definitely worth sightseeing. Seeing the tall grass and the hills in the near distance makes you imagine what the pioneers saw on their trip to the Pacific Northwest. This reserve provides several educational boards that explain this area’s role in the historic migration. It is also a very quiet area that is possibly good for a picnic!
