Very average burger, at an amazingly inflated price. See pictures. I ate with my wife and 2 kids, had 2 kids meals @ $ 5 each, one chicken strips and one hamburger. See the patty size on the burger…1/8#, as advertised. Fries were a small paper boat. I had the double cheeseburger, and was also amazed at how small the patties were. See picture. It was $ 4.25. Or maybe $ 4.50, since the signs outside and inside are different. Also a large onion rings for over $ 3, which was a paper boat containing 7 onion rings. See picture. Are you kidding me? Maybe they messed up my order, or maybe that really is a «Large». What the heck is a small? One ring? My wife got the large chocolate shake as well, for over $ 3. See picture… it’s a 12oz(maybe 16oz?) cup. Again, are you kidding me? Thankfully we had a Groupon and didn’t pay full price, but we will not be back. Jack in the Box is within sight across the street… we should’ve gone there. I recommend anyone else take their money across the street. Similar quality, but larger portions for less money. I will say the staff was nice, so that’s something.

I love their food! Everything we’ve had there is amazing! Which is a plus because I’m a picky eater as are my kids! Little pricey when paying for a family of 6 so if the Groupon’s keep comin’ so will I!

Woman working at window where we ordered was irritated before we even began to order. It’s difficult to get excited about eating at a place when someone clearly hates their job and is rude from the start. Customer service is important to us so we almost cancelled our order and drove away, but it’s 9:00pm and we have a hungry family after a swim meet tonight so we stick it out. Ended up with five hamburgers instead of four. Not sure what we ended up being charged for. Marshmallow milk shake was really good. Fries were plain — not great. Hamburgers were pretty good — prefer Big Bun which is within a mile of this place. Probably would have tried again in the future but won’t because of the service.

Mediocre food for the price. Nothing about this drive in stands out from all the others in town. Sometimes you can catch a car show in the parking lot. Will only go back if I have a discount.

Love them, remind me of Westside Drive-In but a bit less expensive. They’re fries are fantastic! Along with their Shakes and Chicken Sandwiches! Yumm!

This is a mom and pop burger joint. They have been around a long time. If your going here expecting the best burgers in town you will be disappointed. There burgers aren’t bad but there not the best around. That being said I still enjoy my visits to burger time. I would rather support a local burger joint over a franchise any day of the week. My dining companion usually orders the pastrami burger with a side order of sour cream fries and I order the triple cheeseburger with a side of onion rings. I would say the few times I’ve been there I have left satisfied. I went there with an open mind and already expected it to be a mom and pop burger joint. My dining companion enjoys her pastrami burger and I will say they put a decent amount of pastrami on it. The fries are ok but my dining companion loves them. I think it just comes down to your preference for fries. They’re a thin fry with a sour cream seasoning. The onion rings are pretty good. Nicely battered and nice and crispy. The shakes are really good. One of the best parts of burger time is everything is cooked to order so you will have to wait a bit longer for your food but its worth the visit.

I’ve been coming to Burger time since the early nineties. It’s under new ownership since then but I’ve always loved it. It has that nostalgic feel of my boyhood. Lol. That being said, the theme they are going for is your small run of the mill home town burger joint. Which I like. In the summer time they do hot rod shows. The food is good, cooked to order, so expect a lengthy wait. Shakes are fantastic. My only complaint is the burgers don’t taste like they used to. But new ownership means New Flavors.

Comfortable, drive up, burger joint. Try the Fire Bird chicken sandwich. Absolutely delish.

Bought a Groupon to try this place out. We’re vacationing in Boise for the weekend and wanted to score some deals. $ 10 for a $ 20 coupon. Already like it. We find this place. Pretty easy on the décor since all seating is picnic bench outside style. No bathrooms(boo) and two sides for drive thru. Place our order. $ 20 gets us a chili cheese burger, pastrami burger, 2 small shakes(small is plenty! I can’t even imagine the medium or God-forbid, a large), and a large fry. 11 minutes later, our order is ready. Be prepared for a wait. That was with us being the only ones. Granted everything is being cooked to order. Fries are good in my opinion. Just the right amount of salt for me. My hubby didn’t care for them. He said not much flavor. They forgot to give us a fork for the chili burger. Chili tasted off. There was a weird aftertaste. Pastrami burger was alright. Nothing really stood out. Wouldn’t pay the $ 5+ regular price for it though. Shakes were really good. Can’t go wrong with that. So here’s the thing. This is the first burger I’ve had in Idaho ever. So I can’t really compare it to anything local and I apologize for that. Comparing it to burgers back home in Portland, Oregon… this place isn’t that great. Staff was friendly though!

I loved the bacon cheese burger and french fries. The peanut butter milk shake was outstanding. The prices are very reasonable. My kids loved their bacon burger too. Great value for a family.

Had my choice of Wendy’s or Burger TIme. Choose Burger Time and glad I did. The staff was super friendly, the burger cooked as I waited, and was fresh and tasty. Heard they have great finger steaks and shakes. Can’t wait to try more!!!

This place is just down the street from where I live and I had drove by it many times before finally driving in. They have old fashioned burgers and fries! Very tasty and way better than any of the fast food burgers available nearby. The wait may be a bit longer than at your typical drive-thru but that’s because they are making your food fresh! This place really is a hit in the summertime with their old car shows and 50’s music! My only dislike is that during the winter, the hours are shorter than I’d like. Oh, well, I’ll deal with it just because it’s that good :)

You know… The burger was ok. The veggie burger was ok. The fries were little sticks of unflavored wood, but still kind of ok. However, the food poisoning I got from the mayo-based fry sauce,(that had clearly been left out too long and/or exposed to heat for an unacceptable duration), was NOT ok. The sad thing about this is, I really wanted to love this place. The service was friendly. They even gave my dog a treat at the window(this is class… I love people who love dogs). However, it’s hard to have warm feelings about a place when you spend most of your Friday night hacking your guts up. If you go here, I recommend ordering everything cooked to well-done and to stay away from all things dairy unless they come directly from a freezer and/or feel super cold to the touch.

Pretty middle-of-the-road for burger joints around here. Very old-school feel with the design, the 50’s music emanating from the speakers, and the omnipresence of classic-car lovers showing off their wheels. The drive-thru option is pretty popular, but it takes a long time to get your order here(they even admit it by having a sign telling drivers to be patient since all orders are made on-the-spot). I don’t think coming here is a good option if you’re stressed for time. Speaking of stress, the employees have looked stressed to me, or at least hurried if nothing else. At least when I’ve gone, it’s like they try to get by with as few people as possible, and as a result you have to wait longer for your order. My requests to leave my burger meat a little pink were met with little-to-no resistance(Yay!) but never actually followed through by the cooks(Boo!). Which is a shame here because that meat could use a little more taste. It’s in need of some seasoning, or more of it if there’s some already on there. And the buns are pretty cheap and crappy. Pricewise and sizewise, they’ll alright. Tastewise they’ve been average or a little below average. I did like the regular fries here. They were almost well-done even though I didn’t ask for well-done. But I prefer crispier fries anyway. I liked the concept of having sour cream fries and tried them out. Eating the first few was OK, but as I continued eating them the taste proved to be too overwhelming. Dipping them in the ranch sauce provided(and maybe it’s just me, but the ranch sauce provided seemed really strong as well) made them inedible. I eat sour cream and onion potato chips from time to time, but the taste of sour cream on these fries proved to be too much for me. It was also nice to have cheese curds as an option, but the deep-fried curds are pretty much round versions of mozzarella sticks. No big whoop. Burger Time was better than some of the weaker local independent burger places I’ve gone to. But it doesn’t really stand out either, and I doubt I’ll ever come here again.

The burgers are good and so are the shakes. Try the sour cream fires or fried pickles. The cool thing that I like about this place is the classic car meetings on Saturdays in the summer. There’s two drive-through lanes, and the service staff are friendly… they even give my dog a treat when we visit.
