Great food and good service. Love the rustic atmosphere and it really gives you that country home feeling.

Steady Eddie. The CB is a stable of «country» dining. You enter through the store portion of the business to reach the restaurant. Seating is prompt. Staff are friendly. The dining area is clean. The menu offers a wide variety. Visited twice last week. Once for dinner and once for lunch. Ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with cole slaw and a salad. I was surprised at the portion size and good taste of the sandwich. The Cole slaw teaser leaves you wanting more. Ordered the peach cobbler with vanilla bean ice cream. It was delicious and just the right portion to end the meal. Ice tea is fresh brewed. For lunch, I ordered chicken and rice. Steamed vegetables and Cole slaw. I was a little disappointed in this Saturday feature dish. The rice was overcooked. The chicken was dry, even with some gravy sauce on it. The Coke slaw tasted day old. Skipped desert this time around. One small complaint. Because you have to walk through the country store to get to the restaurant, one needs to endure the overwhelming potpourri smells. For someone like me with allergies to strong smells, it’s a set up for sneezing and itching/watery eyes. There should be a direct access, with an option to meander through the store portion.

Cracker Barrel has some good things going for them, and one is their Sunday special-Buttermilk Fried Chicken. 2 ample boneless chicken breasts coated and perfectly cooked to a very crispy golden brown, accompanied by your choice of 2 of their many sides, along with biscuits or cornbread muffins. Today, I chose cheese grits and a cucumber, onion and tomato salad. The chicken was delicious, seasoned nicely, crunchy outside and moist and tender breast meat. Enough meat that I had to take one of the pieces home. The cheese grits were yummy and really creamy with an abundance of cheesy goodness. Biscuits and cornbread were delicious especially when slathered with plenty of Cracker Barrel’s apple butter. Yeeee Haaa!(Ask for it!) The salad was the only disappointing part of my meal. :-(Crispy cucumber slices with some strings of raw onion came in a dish with a couple of grape tomatoes. Covered in waaaay tooo much oil, this under seasoned«salad» would have been much better had they at least cut tomatoes into pieces and mixed some vinegar, salt and pepper with the oil. Service was adequate and the store has some interesting items that can keep you from getting bored if there is any wait before you can get seated. Overall Cracker Barrel gets a B– from me.

The food here is just ok. It’s a neat restaurant with the country décor and store located in the front but the food is pretty bland. We went here for lunch with family and everyone’s meal was ok. I don’t plan on going back.

One of our favorite places for breakfast when traveling. Imagine our disappointment when we stopped here on our way to Bend and had an awful breakfast. To begin my husband ordered the pepper steak skillet that he couldn’t eat. Meat was tough and veggies barely cooked. He ended up leaving over half and only eating eggs. I had the eggs in a basket, now mind you I wasn’t ask how I wanted the eggs cooked and I just assumed they would be cooked so there was no runny egg white. Bad assumption, I could only eat toast and egg closest to edge. My husband told them his was awful but they did not offer to take off. He told two different people too. I didn’t complain as I felt it was my fault since it didn’t say over medium but perhaps I was just being.nice. Coffee was great though. Overall I wouldn’t stop at this one. again

I’m an «Old Timer» breakfast fan. I have eaten there in numerous states and enjoyed it. I also recommend the trout. Good Stuff, Maynard!

We eat here fairly often. The food is consistently good and the service is outstanding. The food is not fancy but just good home style cooking. It is really amazing at how big the restaurant is but you still get great service. We had thanksgiving dinner there and it was great. The prices are really good for what you are getting. The only negative — they will not let you call ahead to get on the seating list. They want you to stand around in there store. I consider this as a method to hold you hostage to buy something. I boycott there store just for this very reason.

So, being from California, I had never been to a Cracker Barrel before. At least not since I’ve been old enough to remember. The store part of it was pretty cool. Definitely had some cute stuff in the realm of Christmas decorations, and I actually bought a sweater that I love, because it was freezing in the restaurant. Haha. Our server was very sweet. No complaints about her at all. I ordered the chicken n dumplings. I thought it was good enough. I would order it again. The biscuits were delicious. My fiancé said his steak was mediocre. Nothing to rave about I guess. We finished with the pumpkin custard. It was delicious. Basically a creamy pumpkin-pie-flavored-deliciousness. My mom loves the lemonade in the cold mugs. We’ll definitely be back. The service and food were good and the prices were great.

I basically evaluate a visit to a restaurant on 4 categories: Service 5 stars Food: 3 stars, only because I can make everything Price: 4 stars Atmosphere 5 Now these categories may change slightly but yiu could fit almost anything into these categories. I grew up in this type of food in the south so I have had some fantastic and innovative dishes. The food here was really good but it didn’t blow me away. Show me a country dish that yiu don’t get too much in the country and then I will upgrade the score. However, just over 4 stars is not bad at all.

As you can see in my picture I had something to look forward to when walking in. Hot grits, biscuits and gravy to die for, eggs over easy steaming and waiting to be destroyed by hunger, hashbrowns with outstanding quality, country fried steak fresh out of the oven or microwave or whatever it is they cook these things on and a cute little orange slice for aesthetics I’m sure. I wish this were the case for me. I ordered my food and waited a fair time that was to be expected when ordering food you shouldn’t have to hope to be hot and fresh. It arrived. This is the moment I’ve been waiting for. I’m on vacation and everything is gonna be great because, why not, right? I began with first touching the hash browns, cheesy and Luke warm with a remnant of flavor, like a ghost of what used to be. I ignored it clawing for my coffee to wash the everything out of my mouth like an exorcism, the power of watery hot coffee compels you! Gone? Good. Biscuits and gravy to the resc… why does my gravy resemble a lava tube?(thick and unmoving on top and hot and viscous underneath) Nevermind… grits probably lukewarm as I didn’t see steam rising, the bowl was cold anyway so I won’t bother. Country fried steak be my saving grace! Please?! Bland, cold and an odd mix of crunchy moist. Pass. Eggs a solid meh. Back to the coffee. As I pouted over my hot watery coffee my server asked if me if I’d like to take it home and I said no because I wasn’t happy with it anyway and she simply walked away. Oh well. I will say the real savior of the entire thing was Patrick the manager. Solid, clean cut, sharp and professional looking man with a knack to calm ya down after a bad meal. We talked about the issues I faced and how he would take care of them for me. I assured him I would be back as my past meals have been quite pleasing before. Shook hands and parted ways. Please understand my 2 star rating was Patrick bringing it up from 1 as I can’t give a zero. When I go back I will likely raise the star a bit.

The food is ok. Just make sure you wear a poncho going in from all the grease on the food. I actually sat down in a chair and stained my new 70 $ pants because the chair wasn’t wiped down. Called a manager and he said there was nothing he could do about it because I could be lying. He said he’d try to figure something out and call me back, but days later now, nothing. My girlfriend’s dish was better than mine. Which is why I gave an ok review. I had pancakes which I’m sure are better at Denny’s.

You want Army quality food, this is the place to go too said my husband who was in the army! Last day in Boise. I ordered for breakfast, grilled catfish and grits with fried apples. The grilled catfish was tasty and I enjoyed it, however my husband, daughter and son-in-law ordered their regular breakfast and each one said the pork chops were dry(SIL), country ham and bacon all dry, gravy was blah(husband) and the hash browns were a hash brown casserole with cheese was tasteless. We didn’t find out until later that you needed to ask for regular hash browns. We will not return!

I ate at the Cracker Barrel for a business meeting earlier in the week. We were seated promptly and the server was very attentive. I made my own breakfast with two eggs, three pieces of bacon and two pieces of toast. I thought it was odd that they didn’t have a combo like this on their menu for us basic creatures of habit. Most of their menu items were very heavy, which is a tough way to start the day. I was eating with a «clean» eater who had a difficult time finding something that would work for him. I also found it odd that they didn’t have a basic omelet on the menu. I gave Cracker Barrel a 3 star rating based on the food being«ok» and the lack of menu items for an individual who wants to eat a little healthier.

I used to really be a fan of Cracker Barrel as I worked by one so I frequented it many times a week for lunch. Today a friend and I really wanted a good olé fashioned breakfast… I’m talking the works! If you haven’t been here you can expect to pay $ 6 – 8 for a premium breakfast which includes tons of food. My friend ordered the Old timers meal at I opted for my usual the Mama’s breakfast(bc it comes with 3 pancakes). I will not bother explaining the food bc the pictures show all that is needed regarding that, all I can say is LOVE the pancakes! They were HOT, buttery, savory and served with warmed up maple syrup in an individual bottle. They are the saving grace in what other wise would be a bad experience. Long story short like most times the eggs, hash, and other food comes out almost cold. My friend as you can see had burnt tops on his buscuits for the bis and gravy which was also cold. The reason the review is not a 1 star is bc the manager came and spoke with us and explained what might be the issue. The cook today is not the normal cook and most likely he did not turn the plates on to warm them, and anyone in the restaurant biz knows hot food on cold plates makes it cold. He also acknowledged the buscuits and agreed it was unacceptable they be served like that, in fairness we were comped and will return. Ryan If you’re reading this you did a great job and my review is a 3 based on my experience, as always my review is not to complain but in hopes things are fixed. If they are fixed and my experience is better next time I will give a new score. Solid 3

Above and beyond in every way. First off, we had a table of fourteen. All of us asked for particular variations, to which they courteously obliged… the food was spectacular, especially the has brown casserole which you could eat tons of even after you’re full, it’s that good. Fantastic pleasant service. They assigned three servers to our table, all three were pleasant, efficient, professional, and down to earth just plain nice. We had a great meal with zero complaints from our whole table. The entire bill was just over $ 150 for fourteen of us, great prices. Then, I lost my wallet. It fell out in the store. Not only did an employee find it, they would not accept my offer of taking the cash as a thank you, and they shipped it to me in California immediately. In fact, they rushed the delivery and it arrived one day later. They also refused to charge me for shipping. I know good service, I know good restaurants, and these people still wowed me in every way. I am grateful for their honesty, attention to detail, generosity, great service, and wonderful food.

This place hits the spot. Maybe I just have a thing for country music and a southern hospitality feel, but man this place nailed it. I was just passing through from Portland, Oregon down to Provo, UT and I had to stop or I was gonna die of starvation. We saw this place and decided to give ‘em a shot. I believe Chris was our waiter. He was an incredibly friendly guy who knew how to recommend things and win over guests. He made just the right amount of small talk, and knew when to leave me and my friends alone. I ended up getting the trout. Maybe I was just really hungry, but this dish was on point. It was flavorful and It tasted decently fresh. I had a side of a sweet potato, some Mac and cheese and some steamed vegetables. Afterwards, I could barely walk. I don’t know if I’ll be back that way, but if I need to stop, or if someone reading this is thinking about stopping, look no further. This is the place.

I have always heard about this place and driven past it a million times. While thinking of where a good brunch might be I decided to stop here. When we first walked in we thought maybe it wasn’t a restaurant since it really does look like a store! haha! Once we realize there is a restaurant in the back we were quickly seated even tho it seemed REALLY busy. The menus are extensive & everything is REALLY reasonably priced. You won’t spend over $ 9 on a BIG plate of breakfast food. I ordered pancakes eggs & bacon. The butter milk pancakes are amazing and the warm little syrup bottle is delish. I also tried the biscuits and gravy(YUM) and grits… which I personally did not like. Their sweet tea is really good, too. Everything was fast and our server was friendly. I would def. come back to try out the lunch menu or try more things off the breakfast menu! The store is also really cute! I am planning on coming back here for Christmas shopping! So glad we tried this place!

Today was my first try at a Cracker Barrel restaurant since we don’t have any in Seattle and it was pretty good! Portions were hearty and and it was just good ‘ol breakfast food. My favorite was their biscuits and gravy. Service was friendly and attentive and prices were fair. They have a cute gift store that adjoins their restaurant but unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time to browse through it.

Maybe I just don’t understand the appeal. I’d heard stories of this chain so I had to try it at least once. The Country Store is kitschy and I guess kind of fun(yes I bought candy on the way out), the staff were all very sweet, but the food is nothing to get excited about. It’s basically like any other comfort food style chain(think Shari’s or Marie Callendars) with salty, fried staples that many older Americans love. It was easy to tell the regulars by their expanding waistlines.

This place is a hit or miss. Sometimes the service and food are excellent and sometimes it is subpar. I have been coming here for breakfast on and off for the last 10 years. This time the food took longer than normal which is usually a bad sign and our waitress seemed really busy and all over the place. My Uncle Hershal’s grilled pork chop was really dry. The waitress never brought the condiments so I had to get up and ask some servers for them because they were to busy talking to notice us and our waitress was no were to be found. I have had some really good servers in the past so I guess I need to get their names so I can request to be sat in their stations next time. Other tasty menu items are the grilled catfish and the chefs salad. Also the potato casserole is always a favorite.
